Best auto shop i’ve been to in years. John i believe is who helped me and he had to speak with my grandpa to get everything in order and he did wonderful. I will tell anyone and everyone to come her AND they are first on my list to come here if needed. Thankful for a shop like this

I can't recommend Bradshaw Auto Repair highly enough. I was there this past Tuesday. John and Josh are fantastic to work with - they're honest, skilled, and take the time to explain everything clearly. Came in with a snapped door handle. The good: they got me in next day, got the part in, and fixed it in one day. The bad: they charged me $175 to diagnose the problem which I did not want and they did not warn me for. (The part was snapped, I just wanted it replaced, which is all they ended up doing.)

Had a great experience dealing with John, talking fishing and project cars, and enjoying the vibe at this iconic old Portland “mom & pop” car shop. I was referred here by another iconic old shop in Sellwood (Tom Dwyer Auto) that sadly does not work on older cars like my 2008 Elantra. I dropped it off for an oil change and diagnostic overview. In a shocking display of auto industry honesty (I know, harsh!) they did not recommend anything beyond a coolant flush and transmission fluid change. They gave me a printout of the entire diagnostic checklist, an invaluable tool if I was thinking of selling. The price seemed about right ($500-ish); the integrity was priceless. Note there are two locations: NE Fremont and SE Hawthorne, where I went. I’ll be back to one or the other!

Super friendly. Communication could be better in terms of what is wrong with vehicle and when it will be ready. I noticed that my rear back up camera wasn’t working when I got the vehicle back. Still, they seem really fair and upstanding. I’m sure they will check it out when I return.

A very intelligent car shop.Pleasure to have a conversation with mechanics. Had a problem with spark plugs and low transmission level. Problem was detected and fixed within several hours. I am on the trip from Phoenix, and was uber happy to find a reliable and honest repair shop. Update: successfully drove car to Phoenix, AZ. No issues.

Bradshaw's has worked on both my pickup truck and Subaru and I've always been happy with the work they do and the way they treat their customers. They do a great job of scheduling work quickly, keeping customers informed while they are working on vehicles, and I think their rates are very fair.

Avoid this business. Misdiagnosed the problem and then charged ~1500 dollars to "fix" my AC. Despite being out more than a month's rent, the AC was not working again within a few weeks. Another mechanic was able to fix the actual problem with less than 50 dollars in parts and it has worked since. There are much, much better options for mechanics in the area.

Recommended by another service since Bradshaws does older cars. Excellent experience right from the start with John at the service desk . 3 page safety check indicating item by item status and cost for recommended repair. Fast service. Reasonable cost. Very satisfied. Strongly recommend.

Update: I’ve been going to Bradshaws for over 4 years now and still can’t give them a high enough review. The best customer service I have ever received from an automotive shop. I have referred them to my family and friends and everyone has had great experiences with them. Prices are reasonable and they are very flexible with appointments. I will be going to them from now on with any future car problems and would refer them to anyone.

I recently brought my car in to Bradshaw's since my current mechanic (who is located around the corner from me) did not have time available. I grew up in the area and Bradshaw's has been around longer than me, and years ago we used to use them, so they were the obvious first choice as a backup. There was some slight confusion with the issue they identified and at first I was a bit concerned that their level of service might have degraded. However, once I brought this up, they responded VERY quickly with great attention to detail and we quickly came to an arrangement that more than covered my concerns.

I was so impressed with Bradshaws attention to detail. Honestly, best auto shop experience I've had since I've lived in portland for 8 years. They fixed the problem, identified other issues that will need work in the future- but they didn't try to convince me that they were imminently needing repair. The fact that they spoke plainly about the fact that these items were not safety issues, and that they might need repair in a couple more years was huge in helping me build my trust. I will only be taking my car here in the future.

Adding to my positive review from 9 months ago. Recently, Bradshaw's had my truck to repair damage caused by an accident; they did a superb job (again!). John went out of his way to secure a backlogged part, thank you John! And the whole staff was so friendly and responsive. The repair job was done in an amazingly timely fashion and they were able to incorporate other necessary repairs not related to the accident. Reasonable estimate AND the final cost was actually less than I had anticipated... A great auto repair shop!!! 9 months ago Responsive, thorough, timely and reasonable priced. They were able to deal with sudden leak in tire too! Highly recommend! More great service by Bradshaw’s, I continue to highly recommend. Consistently thorough and great service.

I’ve been bringing my car(s) here for 8 years now. I love their service and how trustworthy they are. It can be challenging as a woman to be sure you’re not being taken advantage of but I feel 100% confident in what they have to say. Also every who works there is super friendly as well!

Very responsive and friendly. Repaired my 2002 Suburu Forester alternator and 2 other recommended services that were needed upon inspection. 1 day service and decent price. Will return if other services needed and my daughter will be taking her CRV in. Thank you all at Bradshaws.

I called this morning to ask about their services and the person who was on the phone was extremely rude and impatient. From the beginning of the call, they seemed like they didn’t have time to answer my questions. They seemed irritated that every time I had a question, they had to go and ask someone else. And then, the person who was answering the questions made a snide remark, like “why is this person asking so many questions?” which then the person on the phone responded with “I know right.” When I was simply trying to understand what services they were offering.
