The Brake Check on San Pedro has been very efficient. We had our cv axles fixed by them and found their rates to be competive and they did the work in the time they said and in excellence. John communicated well with us and took time to explain issues and give us reputeable referrences for the services they do not offer. I’m so glad we came here for our initial service, alignment work, and gave them a try for the other work. It is hard to find integrity and excellent customer service in today’s world and i have found them to be so. I would highly tecommend this location.

I came in for an oil change around 12:40 on Wednesday.Came back at 2:15 pm and was toled because of "bunch of people my car has not been serviced".I had to cancel my next appointment,not wanting to come back later or go some other place. They did not place reminder sticker with the milage of new change.Nobody even apologized.

UPDATE: I called Customer Service and spoke with Michael Tucker. After our conversation, he had a $50 gift card sent to me on behalf of the store. We'll chalk it up to a rare occurrence of a bad experience. I will continue going to Brake Check. 0 STARS. I have never written a bad review for anything before, so this should express how strongly I feel about my bad experience. I recently came into this location to get my oil changed before taking a trip to El Paso the next day. I drove all the way to El Paso (over 500 miles) and noticed there was smoke coming from under the hood. I pulled over to investigate, and discovered the oil cap resting next to the hood latch, and there was oil all over the hood and engine. The smoke was coming from where the oil cap was supposed to be, but it was evident they neglected to put the cap back on after they changed the oil. I checked the oil, and the dipstick was bone dry because it had all spewed out during the trip. I immediately went to O'Reilly's and bought some oil to replace it. Fortunately, there was no engine damage. I called John to inform him what had happened, and he apologetically told me to return to the store to get the car "detailed" and bring in the oil purchase receipt so I could get reimbursed. I did just that this morning, and I was not met very professionally. John was on the phone while I waited outside of a locked door ten minutes after they were supposed to be open, and when someone finally came to open the door to let me in all I heard was a bunch of yelling and cursing coming from John speaking to someone over the phone. After the conversation he tried to explain what the call was about, pretty much throwing corporate under the bus. I empathized with him because he's a "nice guy". However, now I am not so sure he was on the right side of that conversation after my experiences in dealing with him. As my car was in the back supposedly getting cleaned (I could see through the window they didn't do anything to it) John asked me if we are all good. I showed him the receipt so I could get reimbursed, but he said, "I'll have to show my boss to see IF you can get reimbursed." It went from come in and I'LL reimburse you to I'll see if MY BOSS can reimburse you. Of course that did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. So I said that instead of getting reimbursed, just give me the next oil change for free. The total of the receipt was $37.88, which is about the equivalent of a 1/2 price oil change for semi-synthetic. And possibly another oil change for the inconvenience. He was very curt and just said, "ain't gonna happen". He didn't even inspect the "work" that was supposedly done to my car. I opened my hood, and could see they didn't clean anything up. They attempted to wipe down the engine cover, but even left oil streaks in their lazy attempt to wipe it down. I took the receipt back, and told John to have a good day. I had already wasted too much time at that point, and it was clearly obvious his intention would be to stuff that receipt at the bottom of some pile and forget about it. Thank you for wasting my time, and insulting my intelligence. I'll take my five vehicles and get them serviced elsewhere. John is a nice guy on the surface, but turned out to be a bad manager and the store's employees reflect his poor leadership.

I went in because of squealing brakes. The staff got me in and out of there in less than 90 mins on a Sunday without an appointment. They showed me my pads and rotors and sent me on my way since we determined there wasn't any immediate need to replace anything. I will be sure to return when I need the proper service because I've never been shown these parts in prior car maintenance elsewhere. Thank you guys! Your service is very well appreciated!

John was kind and clear in explaining things. He didn't try to oversell me on items. Service was fairly fast. They also have some competitive deals I wasn't aware of beforehand.

Will not be going anywhere else for an oil change ever again! The customer service was amazing, John was more than helpful and respectful! My car was done in 20 mins and have I mentioned they have the best deals I've ever seen?? 10/10 recommend!

Had my brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced. Leo and Aidon went above and beyond. They were very professional and communicative. My car had been unused for a while and they were very understanding of the condition it was in. Would definitely recommend for the quality, service, and price

Manager John took great care with my wife’s car. After a complete brake workscope, she noticed the front brakes making noise and grinding. John encouraged us to break in the brakes a little longer and if not satisfied, to come back. After over a week, my wife was still concerned with the front brakes. We returned and John replaced the front pads and now there is no more grinding or noise. We are both very pleased with the excellent service. Thanks John!

Went in for an estimate and left with my brakes and rotors being replaced and walked out with new breaks and an oil change. They told me it would take up too 3 hrs but it’s a lil over an hr and boom!!!!! Done deal Bacar was done and rolled off to pick up my son. Thanks break check for the quick service.
