My car’s serpentine belt was eaten through and I came in to have it checked. After some diagnosis and investigating, they discovered several issues that had come up in the meantime. My alternator was seizing, the mounting bracket was broken and a bolt was broken. Alonzo and Daniel went above and beyond, sourcing parts and even going as far as to having the shop cover some of the costs. They understood how distressing the situation became and provided excellent service to get my car moving and functioning 100%. Thank you again for such hard work and dedication to your clients.

I will no longer be visiting this or any Break Masters again: They attempted to swindle me. After getting my oil changed this week they explained that one of my motor mounts was broken. They could fix it for $370. I hadn't noticed any knocking or noise from my engine and wanted a second opinion; I have a car savvy friend I usually run this sort of issue past as he is able to make smaller fixes for just the cost of parts. I requested the part number from Break Masters and was provided it. My friend purchased the part and when he popped the hood and checked, there was nothing wrong with the motor mount. He checked the lower as well, also fine. Nothing was broken or even cracked. There were no issues whatsoever. I am not a car person and depend on the mechanic and the shop to guide me. It is a real shame that an organization would take advantage of my lack of knowledge in a field where trust is crucial. I strongly discourage use of this or any Break Masters stores.

THEY VIOLATED CONSUMER RIGHTS LAW BY NOT PROVIDING ME A QUOTE!!!!!!! SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON BBB. Alonso the store manage grabbed my keys with my house keys from me, said, “I am holding your these (keys) hostage” after I had already paid over $700 for them to repair the shifter cable and HAD TO BRING IT BACK because they installed a BAD CABLE in my Toyota Corolla. AVOID THIS PLACE!!! THEY LIE AND DO TERRIBLE WORK! They said the original part was no longer being manufactured by Toyota, so they had to order it from Ebay. When I picked up my car the first time and paid in full over $700 the shifter was difficult to put into gear. I told them, brought it back for them to fix and was THEN told Toyota has the part in stock, and that I would be “taken care of” and “don’t worry about it” and the they had not gotten the part from ebay but a vendor in Phoenix. When I arrived to get my car after the kept it over night to “let the grease settle” in the old cable, I was told I owed $177! NEVER WAS I GIVE A PRICE OVER THE PHONE OR A QUOTE OVER THE PHONE! Ill tried to convey my frustration and that was not what I was told over the phone. At which point Alonso the manager grabbed my keys like a child and told me he was hold my keys hostage for payment. I have been going here since 2010. NEVER AGAIN! Alonso was rude, acted like a spoiled child, and him and his whole staff communicated very different things to me. I was lied to multiple times and it took me leaving my car with them 4 days the first time and over 30 hours the second time. NOW MY ELECTRICAL IS NOT WORKING IN MY CONSOLE. Sure you take pride in your customers, emailed you a couple days ago and STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. Good customer service would call.

Very late on posting this review, but I figured that it was better late than never when it potentially impacts other customers’ safety. This review is regarding work done on my previous car (2010 Subaru Forester) that is no longer with us due to issues described below. March 12, 2024: An issue reappeared that I had dealt with back in October 2023 which consisted of: Oil light appeared when braking Trio of lights came on The lights that came on were: Check engine (steady) Vehicle Dynamics Control/traction control (steady) Cruise control (flashing) While I was driving, the car briefly stuttered but did not completely stall like it had back in October. Was out at the time, and so decided to drive to jiffy lube to get oil level checked/added as this was what I had done previously. On my way to jiffy lube, the car sounded really “rough” and it seemed like the engine was making a lot of noise. The car began misfiring and shaking. I happened to be passing this brake masters at that very time, so I turned in there to get the oil checked and hopefully resolve that problem as had been done in October. The advisor who worked with me that day was Daniel. After they’d inspected the car, he stated that there was almost no oil in the car and that they were particularly concerned because of the noises the engine was making that could indicate some amount of damage to the engine itself. Added oil and read the codes which included PO301 (misfiring) and oil codes Stated that after adding the oil, the issues with the engine, including the noises and misfiring, seemed to have been resolved and that the car was “running smoothly,” so they cleared the codes and said that I was good to go and to just check the oil level of the car ~1x/week I had mentioned that I had not seen any sort of oil leakage spots on the driveway at the house and they confirmed that they had not found any leaks and said that the car could be “consuming oil” which could be associated with the age and mileage of the car *Overheard mechanic when he was relaying info to Daniel saying something about a rattling noise and the exhaust pipe, but I was never told anything directly about this and so I thought it must have been an insignificant issue if anything* Was charged $62.80 for labor, parts, fees, +tax Upon starting the car and driving out of the lot, I noted that car was making the same loud engine noises as before and sounded “rough,” but thought that maybe I just had to drive for a bit and that it would smooth itself out (**I do NOT know a ton about cars, so I realize that that may very well be an extremely ignorant decision on my part, but I was really trying to give these guys the benefit of the doubt here.**) However, the farther I drove from brake masters, the worse the car sounded, and it was having significant trouble accelerating and was hesitating and stuttering when attempting to do so. I also noted a loud rattling noise when I would take my foot off the gas and the car would begin to slow. As I approached an intersection about 5 mins from the brake masters, multiple lights came on suddenly including the oil at temp and high temp lights and the car began misfiring and shaking, and before I could pull over to the side of the road, it completely broke down in the left turn lane at the intersection of 1st and Grant during rush hour, which was not the safest situation to say the least. Called AAA and requested tow Eventually was able to start it up to be able to reverse into a parking lot to get out of the lane I was blocking AAA came and towed to Subaru dealership The tow truck driver noted that they should not have even start the car because of how bad it had sounded when he’d tested it upon his arrival to tow. I’m shocked that Daniel allowed me to drive away with the state of my vehicle being what it was, and furthermore to claim that the problem had been fixed. Above all else, this was a blatant disregard for my safety, and I am lucky that I was not involved in some sort of accident, whether it caused by another vehicle or by my vehicle itself.

The people make the business! They let me tow my dead car to the lot and leave overnight. Diagnosed and fixed quickly. Informed me of and documented the issues. Could have really done me wrong if they wanted, but did great!!

My Toyota started going nuts on a Saturday morning, radio screen flashing, dashboard lights coming on and off, power steering went out. Turns out of was alternator and battery issue. These guys repaired and had it working by the end of the day (plus oil change and brakes which I needed anyways). FANTASTIC SERVICE! Thank you so much!

This Brakemasters store was very quick in changing my oil. Their service is courteous, and their prices are reasonable. The dealer and Jiffy Lube was going to charge more for the oil change on my particular brand of car. I have been going to the store for the past eight years and they have been consistently reliable.

This specific Brake Masters has been nothing but beyond helpful and kind to me. It all started with my father bringing his vehicles here to now me bringing them here as well. They have provided a safe and trust worthy environment for myself and my vehicle. They all take very good care of all customers vehicles and best of all ALWAYS make sure my vehicle is good to go before I take it back. Thank you Alonso, Daniel and team for all you do! You all are amazing!

Everyone was very kind. I was there for 4hrs in the lobby and I experienced the Manager going out of his way to help customers and even not charging them if he was not able to service their vehicles.

Everything was great , friendly staff and front desk, I would suggest two things one is choice of oil was mentioned to me (synthetic or synthetic plus) but not the conventional which is what I had a coupon for so my total was more than I anticipated . Two if you do tire rotation then ask everyone don’t say it is only upon request (I asked if they did it and was told it’s only upon request and the car was already off the jack so when she asked me if I still wanted it I said no as I didn’t want them to put up the car again and be a headache to the workers) . It’s a service you are giving to please and build customer base so don’t make it a secret password just offer it. Either they need it or they don’t 👍 other than that thank you 🤲
