Great place to take your vehicle. Loc is wonderful, very knowledgeable and helpful in corresponding with the customers and the mechanics. Loc actually listens to your situations and is an exceptional human being. I have an older car and they know how to keep it running. I feel comfortable with their diagnostics. I will continue to keep bringing my car here. You should too.

This is my 3rd visit to Break Masters and I love their services. Loc provides excellent customer service, breaks down complex auto jargon into easy to understand terms, and performs work on my vehicle with great turn around times. I've referred relatives and friends to go see him since my first visit, and hope that anything my vehicle needs, Loc can fix. Highly recommend this location and their services to anyone who needs their vehicle maintained!

DO NOT… DO NOT… DO NOT… TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! Never had an issue with my cars but I go here for an oil change and when I leave my car is shaking terribly. Took it back and they wouldn’t even look at it. Was perfectly fine before going here and now have issues and they won’t even help. Supervisor was rude about it and didn’t care at all!! WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!

I had a great experience at this brake masters location. They were friendly, gave tips on how to take care of my vehicle, and seemed to give everyone in waiting room the same effort and attention. I would like to shout out Loc for his time. I will be taking my car there again!

These guys have pulled through for me more time than one. First they listen and they check my vehicle for all problems. They are honest too. I brought my car in for a weak battery. The cost was going to be 250. They took the time to check my history and I had the warranty. I didn't remember they could have taken me for 250 but I had the warranty in play they honored it. Kind caring guys.

*** SCAM ARTISTS*** I'll start off by saying I had brought my vehicle to this location 5 or 6 times for minor things (oil change, brakes, AC recharge, etc) and had nothing but fairly quick service with everything being pretty straightforward. This time I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation and made the first appointment of the day so I could get in and out of there, was quoted 30 minutes. I sat in the lobby, which has a glass window looking into the garage so you can watch the service happening. My car was the first car, closest to the lobby so I had a birds eye view of everything. The service ended up taking over an hour because the tech who was "working" on my vehicle never spent more than 15 minutes with the actual car but instead was talking to his buddies who pulled up to the garage, watching videos with other techs in different bays, and even ate a burrito all while "servicing" my car. After the hour the guy who works inside calls my name, says my car is ready but they found several "urgent" things that needed repair, over $4,000 in total work. One of them being the Rack and Pinion. The guy is trying to hard sell me that I "NEED" to get this done because it's "VERY DANGEROUS". I tell him I need to think it over because I'm not about to drop $4k on a whim when something just doesn't seem right considering I had just had the vehicle in there 6 weeks prior with no issues. I just ask to pay for the service that day and confirm the tires got rotated (I know they hadn't because I watched the entire time and my tires never left the vehicle lol). He tells me yes, of course they were rotated. Straight up lied right to my face. So being slightly concerned I made an appointment with a reputable mechanic in the area, just asked him to give the car a full inspection and then I would tell him afterwards what my concerns were. The new tech comes back saying I needed to change some filters and do a transmission flush but other than that everything looked good. I tell him about the rack and pinion ordeal and he asks me if they even drive the vehicle (which they had not) and said it's almost impossible to diagnose a rack and pinion issue without driving the vehicle and my car shows absolutely 0 signs of that because there is no lane drifting, bumpiness, or trouble controlling the steering. After reading through the reviews, it's seems I'm not the only one who has had Rack and Pinion "issues" at this location. ****STAY AWAY***

I would give a no star rating if I could ! I don’t know how many times my boyfriend had to take our car back just to fix when they “supposedly” fixed, 1000s of dollars worth, and the problem never fixed, ended up taking my car somewhere, please don’t go here !

Took my car to get an oil change, the attendant took my make and model of my car and quoted me a price. He later called me to have a new filter installed or cleaned. I said ok go ahead. He called me to let me know my car was ready. When I arrived to get my car, I get told a new price. Three times the price, I was quoted. The guy next to me paying for his car was having the same issue as they quoted him a different price as well. Will never take any of my cars to brake masters. Bate and switch shop. Horrible service.

Went to Brake Master for a simple oil change. While in the waiting area, the service advisor came to me and said, "I have bad news for you; your window broke and will not roll up; it will be approximately $500 to fix it." After arguing with them for several minutes that my window was working fine when I arrived and have been since I bought it new never having any issues; They said stuff happened, and it was not their fault all we did was roll the window down now it will not roll back up. All I came here for was a simple oil change. Brake Master ended by saying it was not their fault, but they would repair the window if I bought the parts instead of charging me for both parts and labor. I am still not happy paying anything since it was working fine when I drove up. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Customers beware! Took my truck in for an alignment as I had purchased new tires from Discount Tires. Originally was going to have Discount do the alignment but they needed a special tool for my truck. The alignment was slightly off to the right. Brake Master agreed it was slightly off. When Brake Master called to pick up my truck as it was completed, I drove home and noticed my truck hitting hard right now and returned to Brake Master to discuss the issue. They replied that their diagnosis was straight on. I responded that the truck was not even that bad and now it is worse and ask them to take a test drive for themselves. Brake Master agreed that the truck indeed pull right hard. They asked to leave the truck so that can figure it out. Two, three day’s passed by and we had to call them to see what the progress was. We were then told they could not figure it out and they were bringing a specialist. Two days later Lok called and let us know that the issue still persist and we’re trying a few things to get it resolved. A week later we called again! The manager Armando claimed that the rack and pinion was the issue. His position was for US the customer to take it to another Brake Masted or shop to diagnose the issue as his shop tried everything they could. I requested to Armando to take the truck to the dealership and get it figured out as the issue arised after the alignment was performed by Brake Master. He claimed that it was not the fault with the alignment and said they would not take it to the dealership. I explained to him that the issue came out of his shop and as a paying customer I demanded his District Manager’s name and number. He refused to give me his number and said he couldn’t do that. I said, I am the customer and I have an issue and demanded his number. Again Armando refused. I took two trucks in for an alignment and one came back to completely worse than initially brought in. Two and a half weeks and still not reconciled. What Armando’s job, as a Manager, is to figure it out at all cost to satisfy the consumer! All that was done was repeatedly give they same excuse. And to deny the customer, the right for grievance, and ask for a higher authority is pathetic and poor customer service. I am in sales and if a mistake or issue arises in my hands it is resolved at all and any cost, this is how I am successful in my industry. NEVER AGAIN WILL BRAKE MASTER HAVE MY BUSINESS.

Google review from customer Paula Mann: This location is a newer location and the waiting lounge is very clean, open, and comfortable with big black reclining chairs to sit in. Large screen tv to enjoy as you wait. I went in for a lug nut change that was damaged by Discount Tire. The manager and service manager Loc were very nice, professional, and accommodating. They walked me out to the car to show what future repairs may be needed regarding the wheel alignment. The team were very nice and appreciate their professionalism. I will return for future car needs. If you have to wait there are eating places in the same plaza, Wendy's, Chick Fil A.

I'm sure this store is fine for basics (oil changes/brakes)-I had one good experience with an oil change. My issue started when I took my Subaru in for what I figured was some sort of suspension issue-jerked hard if turning hard either way. Long story but they had my car 2 times-they decided it needed a right front axel shaft and then they aligned it. Both times as I was driving out of their parking lot...it was obvious that they hadn't fixed the problem. So, they didn't even test drive the stupid thing either time...or just figured this stupid woman wouldn't notice? I called an independent Subaru shop in Tempe (SubiWorx) at this point and OVER THE PHONE they basically diagnosed my problem and suggested I return to the dealer as it would still be covered by the original warranty-which it was...problem fixed. The issue was the front differential. I was disappointed in Brake Masters for a few reasons at this point. So I attempted to contact their corporate folks via the main web page. After phone calls, emails and me sending them the dealers paperwork-I had to REPEATEDLY call and email the guy who was supposed to be helping me. This drug on for over a month. Final offer? A partial refund... Had I known it wasn't a suspension thing, I wouldn't have taken it there. I won't return for any service obviously. There is no shame in saying, "hey, we don't know what the issue is-maybe you should just take it to Subaru" . And a shout out to SubiWorx in Tempe-you guys didn't even touch my car but you diagnosed it over the phone....for free. Beware people!!

Armando is a great guy there at the Brake Masters. He took time out of his busy schedule to take a look at a vehicle. He was honest and I did not feel pressured into anything. Will definitely be going back!! 5 stars!!

This place is a shammm. They have no problem lying in your face. Not once but twice. Went to get a transmission fluid check. Was told fluid was fine and full. 2 months later transmission is slipping. Pull in to have fluid checked again. Once again I was told fluid is full must be an internal problem. Taken it to another shop put the car on the lift in front of me and checked the fluid. Fluid very low. Added fluid and transmission is working properly now. Get a second opinion. I don't recommend this place.

Went in for a oil change, later that day it started I noticed a leak from the drain plug (NEVER HAD A LEAK BEFORE) . Took it right back. They put a new drain plug. Come to find out they messed up the threading on my oil pan . So not only will I need a new drain plug , I’ll now need a new oil pan/ gasket. And on my truck it requires the motor to be lifted . Thanks guys. Pennies today/ dollars tomorrow !

Went only for brakes yesterday and now my car broke down. I've had no issues prior, we use a different company to maintenance my vehicle but decided to give these guys a try since they are closer. My car was serviced last month and came back with a clean bill of health. Now one day after coming to this place and my car start sputtering and squealing and now I'm stranded. I have no clue what they did but my car was fine before they touched it.

Armando and Jesus were fantastic! I came in with a cooling fan issue and after about 20 minutes, they gave me a quote. 3 hours later, I was back on the road. Glad I came here. Will definitely be returning!!

Top-notch service. My vehicle had warning signals and making weird noises -- I was apprehensive to drive to a repair shop. I initially called my dealership and they advised me to get the car towed in. I called this Brake Masters location and spoke with Jesus. He offered to pick up my vehicle to run diagnostics! He then called back in a few hours with the cause for the issue, their fix for it, as well as the cost. Additionally, he offered to run their complimentary check-up since my car was already in their shop. Once everything was done, he called and offered to pick me up (I was planning to walk in this AZ heat!). Unparalleled service. Very happy with how everything was handled. This place is HIGHLY recommended! Thank you!

This place is a hidden gem, and it's a new location. Armando, the store manager, went above and beyond to help me with my brakes. The brakes were making some sounds after I got them replaced, so Armando personally checked them himself and put in different brakes. Armando went out of his way to help me, I'm blown away from the service that he provided me. I've gotten my oil changes and alignment done there. I highly recommend this place!

I've visited this new location 3 times, to be welcomed in by the Store Manager Armando. The service has been simply outstanding consistently every single time. I'm greeted with a smile, positive attitude, and a genuine willingness to help no matter what my need is. I did have an issue the third time I visited after service, and Armando asked no questions and took care of it with no problem. I manage a local large bank and I know how clients can be and having patience to treat clients with respect has become a lost art. This establishment has a great one in Armando along with the team he's assembled. You're now officially a staple in the South Mountain community. I will continue to recommend others and take my vehicles there. Big O, Firestone, and others can't come close to the service this specific Brake Masters provides at 24th St. & Baseline.They own their work and it seems to be of the highest quality. I've been there for several different services in the past 8 months. Their staff and services are very professional and time efficient. The waiting area is decent accommodations as well. Job well done and I highly recommend.
