I was very disappointed with my experience at Brakes For Less on O’Neal. We brought in our 2017 Honda Accord for routine maintenance, specifically to replace the timing belt and spark plugs. What should have been a one-day job turned into a 4-day ordeal, during which we had to constantly call and physically check on the car because they were having difficulty completing the work. When they finally informed us the car was ready, they mentioned it had developed an “electrical problem” that wouldn’t allow them to turn the car on - an issue that was nonexistent before we brought it to them (remember this was routine maintenance, nothing wrong with the car, just replacing parts). Less than half a mile after pulling out of their shop, it stopped in the middle of the road. They had not even checked to ensure the car was drivable before handing it over. I was able to wheel it into a near parking lot & called them immediately, which was right as they were heading out for the night. A few mechanics met me there & after inspection they admitted another mechanic had failed to properly tighten a component connected to the computer. After tightening the component, they told us we're good now & they drove off. When we began to drive away a few minutes later, the car started jerking, and all the check engine warning lights came on. Since this happened on a Saturday night, we had to wait until Monday morning to bring it back. Using a code reader, we discovered one of the cylinders was misfiring, indicating an issue with how the spark plugs were installed. When we returned on Monday, they admitted their new mechanic had installed a faulty part. After the car was finally repaired, we politely requested some form of reimbursement for the inconvenience and stress this situation caused. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted rudely. They grudgingly wrote us a check for $100 on a $1,000+ job. When we pointed out that this was insufficient, they blamed us, ripped up the check in front of us, and refused to offer any resolution. This shop lacks professionalism and accountability. They were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to own up to their mistakes. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this place and take your car somewhere more reputable.

I happened upon this shop while relocating to the area because I had an emergency brake situation. The staff immediately diagnosed the issue and had space for me to make an appointment the next day to get it fixed. Prices were SUPER reasonable. The work was impeccable and extremely fast. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable! They can fix literally almost anything, and if they can’t, they know someone who can. I have definitely found my new mechanics! Keep up the great work.

I recommend Brakes for Less for any of your auto needs. I was trying to get a new battery and a parts store and they broke both my connectors. Chad and his crew came to my rescue, replaced the connectors immediately and put my new battery in. Now thats SERVICE!! LOVE this place!

I recently went to Brakes for Less for an oil change and to get my brakes and alignment checked. They gave my car a full bumper-to-bumper check free of charge. They found an issue with my rear brakes and let me know right away, so I got that fixed too. The mechanic, OP, was great. He was respectful and professional but also funny and personable. They really made me feel at home and taken care of. They did all the work I needed, plus the extra stuff, really quickly. 10/10 would recommend, and I’ll definitely be going back in the future.

A mechanic I can trust. Brake Job for 2020 Toyota Camry. Mechanic showed me why I had uneven brake wear. He said and showed the evidence that who ever did my brakes didn’t properly grease the slide pins. I told him it was factory brakes first time getting serviced. I trust this place previously had brakes done on 2006 Chevy trailblazer

Great service, was able to take the truck immediately and had it done in roughly two hours. They up-charge a bit for parts more than usual, but the service was worth it. My only complaint was that the place was an absolute mess, and smells like a dump from the outside. Trash and old fast food cups/bags all over the place, especially in the office. Otherwise, I appreciate their work!

My family has visited this particular Brakes for Less for service for an import sedan and a 3500 dually. I am impressed with the level of service and expertise provided by their team. Great price and service. I came in requesting breaks and possibly rotors. Took the time to check before writing up quote, explained thoroughly to me before starting work, work was quick and professional, paid and left. They even greased the guide pins for me! Back tires were also checked and noted as no work needed. I will happily recommend and return for future work.

I was recommended to come here for my rear wheel making noise after a flat on my Wife's Mercedes. I was expecting the worse when I dropped the car off but by the afternoon I got a call saying come pickup my car the problem was the heat shield was rubbing and he fixed it at no charge!!!! Wow! Very honest and straight forward, they have my business from here on out!

Trust,I now have trust in a company again!! My car was just parked for couple of weeks,the brakes sounded like they were grinding. Brought my car in,they checked it for free and told me my brakes were fine,just dirt accumulating on rotors. Awesome news to me!! That's honesty!! Thank you!!

first off, this location is under new management!!!! if you used them in the past, give them another try. they are now owned by a lovely couple, who understand that people are struggling. I had to get brake pads/rotors all the way around on my 2015 Hyundai Sonata Sport. I called several places and the quotes I got were roughly $700. I decided to try Brakes for Less to see what they would do. They inspected my brakes, took me out to the work area to show me the problem. I then went to the counter and his wife then worked up a quote. They offered me $50 off and worked with the prices on the parts to get me the best quote possible. I paid under $500 for everything! I definitely will return.
