After 12 years plus of outstanding service, I had a mechanical issue with my truck's 'cap.' Looking for a referral, one of the guys grabbed a couple of tools, installed a couple screws, and it was done. Giant kudos for the care that accompanies excellent service!

I got my tires installed in Costco and got referred to Brown service to do the alignment. Scott- the gentlemen notified me that my alignment is fine and charged $60 for examination. I am impressed by his honesty. Positive experience and I am grateful.

I've been a customer at Browns alignment for about 3 years now. I now consider Brian, Scott, and Allison friends of mine. Browns services our familys 3 vehicles, and we always get an honest assesment of whatever service is/not needed. I wouldn't consider getting my vehicles serviced anywhere but at Browns. Friends of ours turned me on to them, and I am grateful for it.

If I could give a zero I could. Rude and unhelpful. The vibe is that they are busy and I was just an inconvenience. Surprised by this because of all their 5 star reviews. Now I am wondering if they just didn't hire a marketing company to write them... I walked out.

Brian is incredibly helpful. I have had issues with my cars check engine light and brown’s alignment was able to get things fixed. Reasonable prices, time efficent, and kind folks!

I cannot give a higher review for Browns! They have worked on both our cars and are always fast, efficient, honest and a job well done. Our most recent experience they went above and beyond by staying open after hours to help us remove a nail and plug a tire late on a Friday that we discovered in our way out of town! Brian is always more than accommodating and a true example of incredible customer service in a time where to most places you are just a #…..I will continue to send them all my business and referrals. Brown's is the best! My wife and I have five vehicles and we take them all to Brown's for all regular maintenance. They have maintained two of my vehicles for years, each has over 250,000 miles. There's a reason why they still run like new - excellent service. We get our tires there as well. If you are looking for a high quality, honest automotive shop -- you've found it! 5+ stars

Excellent service, price and great communication. We live in Charlotte- our daughter is a student at NCSU. She was unable to get her car to start - we had no idea where to send her- she was given a referral to Brown's. They were great in assisting in her with a tow and taking care of the repairs within a few hours - thank you so much !!

New to NC. Had to get wheels aligned with new tyres. Brown's didn't have an appointment during my tyre change and had to get it done at Firestone. Alignment was still off and Firestone wasn't able to figure it out and said it was alright. Then, I brought it to Brown's. They are the experts, they were able to feel my complaint of pulling to the right. Understood the issue and fixed it and explained me the issue. Very satisfied. They really are good with alignment and customer satisfaction.

We discovered Brown's when we moved nearby a little over a year ago and cannot say enough about how amazing they are. They've done our inspections, oil changes, replaced a wheel hub, tire patch, and more. They're incredibly honest and kind. I come from a family of mechanics and it was hard to trust anyone after moving 700 miles away over a decade ago, so finding Brown's was quite the gift. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend them!

If you are looking for an experienced, trustworthy and competent car care business in the downtown Raleigh area, this is the place to go. I have been here frequently over the past 6 months to have regular maintenance as well as repairs done to my 14 year old (foreign) car. I've been taking my 25-year-old Land Cruiser to Brown's for years. They are always courteous and responsive--and most importantly, they do great work at a fair price. They have done some significant repairs for me and I've never had any problems. They give good referrals for work they don't handle. They never try to sell me on work that I don't really need. Can't imagine going to another mechanic.

Short version: They seem to be an honest shop with down-to-earth folks. Long version: We were a walk-in without any advance notice. After explaining the issue (some vibration when accelerating past a certain speed after having recently gotten new tires), the lady at the front desk said she knew one particular mechanic who would be good for checking it out, but he wasn't available until next week. This could be a bit difficult, as my partner used this car for her job and was afraid to use it in the meanwhile without knowing whether it could get worse. Upon explaining this, they were able to get another engineer to perform a quick test drive on the spot. He confirmed that there was some vibration but gave us the assurance that it would definitely not be an issue to drive on it for a few days until they could look further. This assuaged a lot of our immediate fears about the situation. When we turned it in next week they quickly followed up shortly after the appointed hour and said the vibration was within reasonable bounds and not evidence of an issue that would require further work. They could have easily used our lack of familiarity with the situation to upsell an unnecessary service, and we probably wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. We ended up only having to pay a basic diagnostics fee, plus an oil change which we had also asked for. Even though our experience can't say anything about the quality of their repair work, it definitely is a good sign of their integrity. It may seem like I'm writing a lot for such a relatively minor event, but I had been looking for a trustworthy mechanic in the area for some time. This was for my partner's car, but if I ever see issues with my own I have definitely been convinced to also take it to Brown's.

Be prepared to have a bunch of greasy finger prints deposited all over your vehicle and interior. They don’t bother washing their hands when entering your vehicle nor do they have the simple courtesy of placing down a paper floor mat. I had to spend an extra $150 to have my interior steam cleaned. If they cut corners on simple courtesies like washing their hands, what else are they skipping out on?

My brakes locked up on my trailer. So I took off the brake assembly, took it to Browns, and they fixed it right away! Was able to get my trailer back working again. Thanks Browns!
