I've been taking my vehicles to Brown's automotive experts about I believe close to a decade now and always satisfied with their services. I usually go to the shop at El Rancho and always receive quality maintenance and repairs on all my vehicle needs. This time I took my vehicle to get serviced at Signal right off at I-25 which was more convenient for me. Excellent service and Thanks so much to Cheryl Montoya and the crew at Browns for making a great experience at that location I highly recommend.

Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!! Didn’t do what I requested and charged me for doing things I didn’t authorize. Please go anywhere else but here! They only want to make more money and don’t care how they do that! Dearholt automotive was the best, Browns is the worst. I will never go back!!!!

The cam shaft position sensor on my car went bad and rendered the car undrivable. Brown's Automotive was able to get me in right away, they did a thorough job of diagnosing the problems that needed attention, and they replaced both of the sensors. Plus they had recommendations that I already knew needed attention, because I bought the car used, and the previous owner didn't do a good job of maintaining it. They really saved me. My dad was a mechanic, so I am fussy about where I take the car. If you make my car run perfect, you have my business, and Brown's made my car perfect. I will be going to them from now on.

I have taken my cars to this shop before Browns took over. Recently, I brought my 1997 XJ6 in for fluid work, including the transmission and rear differential. Although they didn't need to remove the tires for this recent work, they did take them off during a previous inspection. I haven't taken my car anywhere else or had any other work done on it. Today, I removed the rear tires and noticed that the lugs on the right rear wheel were loose, and two studs were broken. I then checked the left rear tire, and the exact same issue occurred. For those who don’t understand, this situation could have led to significant damage to my car and potentially serious danger to me if the tires had come off while driving. I called the shop to report the issue, and they suggested that perhaps the wheels had worked themselves loose and broken the studs. While that might explain one wheel, it certainly doesn’t account for both. I also checked the front tires, which I had previously removed to service my front suspension, and they were okay because I always torque them to spec. I was surprised by their response, essentially denying responsibility. I would have been happy if they had at least paid $130 for ten studs or 12 a piece for the four they broke. I hope the carrier is OK and not stripped. I thought I had finally found a trustworthy automotive shop, but now it seems I need to look elsewhere.

Traveling from AZ to Midwest, paid $1,600 for a/c work in AZ 6hrs into road trip car’s serpentine belt broke immediate exit off to Love’s in Albuquerque, NM… and the games began! Mobile mechanic quotes $125 per hr, 4hrs serpentine belt repair incomplete, absolutely not paying $500 for incomplete repair. Goodbye! Next day car towed needed first quote $375 to tow 17 miles second quote $245 for exact same mileage. Brown’s Service Repair came highly recommended and I am very disappointed and will call the referring company back to inform them of my experience. Car towed to Brown’s Wednesday by 3PM ish they stated the air compressor had seized were closed on 4th but open on 5th needless to say was anticipating an call from Brown’s at less by 10AM with an estimate didn’t hear from Cheryle til 3 hours before closing . She was a nice double talker full of shyt! We were charged an additional $1K for work completed 4 days prior. Brown gave paperwork that does not itemize work was completed! Thus confirming our conclusion that businesses in ALBUQUERQUE are seeking a payday anyway possible. From small to big business they are playing on your vulnerability. what we had originally thought Brown’s Repair. Cheryle claims they have a respectable reputation is false. Billed an additional $1k on top of $1400 warranty claim paid Brown’s, all of this for a simple problem our vehicle conditioner was blowing hot air. Be aware of ALBUQUERQUE truly earns it’s name “city of ENTRAPMENT” May all those involved suffer the same fate 100 percent!

They charge crazy prices. I was very angry when I saw my dad paid over $150 just for spark plugs, on a 4cyl which would have taken no more than 20 minutes to replace, and would have cost no more than $50 for the plugs themselves.
