Richard and crew are the best. This is a family owned business that's been around for a long time.They take pride in their work. They are honest, good pricing and know what there are doing. They fixed my wife's Lexus NX sunroof and Richard was nice enough to patch some leather damage for free. It looked fantastic.Thanks Richard.You just don't find great family business in the bay Area anymore. California Cover is one of them

Absolutely excellent service. Had my seat covers done and I am so so please. California Covers is the tops in my opinion. My sister also had covers done on her bike for the veterans parade. She took it in to have some detailing done before she rode. She got nothing but raving compliments from all of the technicians. This is a go-to if you are looking for the best! Really well done headliner fix! Only reason it is not a 5 star is the estimated price went up on picking up the car after the fix. Not sure if that is standard but felt a bit odd.

Replaced convertible top. Reasonable price but shotty work. You get what you pay for. I would not recommend this company unless you dont mind damaged car. Guy who replaced convertably top tore insulation and damaged paint and said I brought it in like that. When I brought it to Owner worker got aggressive and combative. Owner said he will replace damaged parts but its been since October 2022 going on 4months and no call. Take pictures of your vehicle before dropping it off there. And they didn't put my cover back right completely. Now after I leave truthful review he says come by for the rubbers but the top wasn't put on completely either, don't need the rubbers, got my own just need good business practices by competent business employees not owners who can't see the elephant in the room when it's their employee. I did get mad, I'm sorry but who wouldn't when their car is damaged by the shop and then tried to be convinced they didn't do it. Not good customer service or maybe my skin color was too Dark to be believable or even acknowledged. Never again. Peace & Blessings anyway.

THE PEOPLE YOU WANT WORKING ON YOUR CAR. They did a killer job repairing my roadster top after a break in, and I just took them my classic to have the window tracks serviced/restored. They are professionals who take the time to do it right, going to bring them every attention-to-detail/finish-work project in my garage

Highly recommend this business! Hector really came through for me with my seat repair and did it for a very reasonable price. I had visited a mechanic, who told me to go to a body shop, a body shop who told me to go to a car upholstery shop, another car upholstery shop who told me it would be a very labor-intensive job... I was beginning to think that no one was going to take the job on, or that they were going to charge me an arm and a leg to rip out the whole inside of my truck. Long story short, Hector and his guys were able to fix my seat quickly without even removing it, and saved me a headache and potentially quite a bit of $ too. Thanks!

Simply the best I have had two Services completed here one was putting on a new convertible top and the second one was fixing a burn in a seat that I received when I bought a vehicle online. They did a really nice job on a custom re-carpet of my car. They achieved a really good look when I told them I wanted to respect the era of the car. Would definitely recommend for interior work on a classic car or treasured machine.

I found this place via other reviews. I have a vintage Mercedes where the drivers seat was shot years ago. The padding was almost non existent and the tilt mechanism was broken. Cal Covers used my existing upholstery and repaired my seat better than new. This is definitely my go to place for any car interior issues!

I've bought two tops from him over the several years I've been with my e30 (the first one was ripped by a tow driver), and both times his shop's work has been beautifully done for a fair price. The last time around, he also covered the seats (including reconstructing foam) and re-carpeted the cabin, and I'm glad his shop did the work.

Rick was wonderful and handled the interaction with my insurance company. The dealer sent the wrong color and Rick had to order the correct one which was not his fault. He called and apologized and kept me apprised every step of the way. I highly recommend this company.

I needed a written estimate for an insurance claim to replace carpet in my 1992 Lexus. I called several auto upholstery shops and had no luck. They either said the car was to old the carpeting couldn’t be matched, it was no longer available thru the Lexus manufacturer.... My husband called California Covers. We took it by and I believe the owner’s name is John, came out and took a look the car. Not a problem, within two days I a written estimate. Maybe it’s because they do restoration work on vintage cars. Whatever the reason I really appreciate his prompt service.
