UPDATE #3: All new brakes. I never get to see behind my wheels so I asked if I could stop by the shop while the work was being done. This is one clean shop. The workman was alert and obviously intelligent. And thanks to a generous COSTCO discount, I sincerely do not believe this work would have been done at the same price anywhere else. Before I switched to Cambridge, my yearly trip to the mountains of New Mexico *ALWAYS* included some harrowing incidents in the vehicle. Not this year. I *NEVER* felt safer. Thank you, Cambridge Auto Center. Thank you for everything. UPDATE #2: Installed two "Nineo II" LED headlamps two months ago. NO ONE has high-beamed me. NO ONE. Perfectly adjusted. And OMG, a waning crescent Moon in the country will never be the same. You have no idea what it means to me to have access to super talented mechanics and a fair-minded boss. It's a GREAT SHOP. Trust me. UPDATE #1: Cambridge installed a set of Baja Boss tires on my Xterra Pro4. The expression I used to describe the feeling at first was one of driving an “indomitable tank.” It drives like an entirely new vehicle. That’s not just the tires. There is a certain finesse to balancing tires and properly aligning a vehicle. That’s paying for someone proud of their workmanship instead of a kid who hates his job. I could just feel the jealousy oozing out of Jeeps passing by. My trust in the integrity of this shop makes picking up my repaired vehicle a fun experience. I consider that trust valuable even if it does not appear on my bill. The same technician always works on my car and never fails to do little things that make a difference. In other words, he cares. It’s a great shop. I can’t say enough for them. FIRST REVIEW I seldom pray. It is, for me, a powerful tool I only use when my life is threatened. But I had to pray about this after a different Costco automotive shop recommended a transmission fluid change less than a year after that work had been done. Service providers, contractors, and the like need to know that we are headed into hard times. They do one of two things when they conduct business. Either they add to the woes of a troubled people, or they bless someone simply by doing their job well and honestly. In the end, that is what it is about; the owner's integrity is always reflected in his workforce. I have not met the owner of this business, but I have met two of his employees. He is blessing the neighborhood and deserves all the business he or she can handle. The same young man did all the work on my car. That he was proud of his work was evident. He's sharp-minded and alert, and for the first time in ages, I am living a life in which the need to maintain my car is no longer a source of pain. It’s a blessing now. And for that, they charged me nothing. If you're looking for an auto mechanic (an SAE-certified technician, to be exact), take it from one of the most honest Google reviewers alive. I found mine. You can't have him. I'm keeping the name secret, but he works at this shop.

I was listening to the radio and it was the car repair show. I called in and talked to Terry about my problem about CK engine light. Terry said stop in and have a SMOKE TEST done. Today I dropped off my car and talked with Anthony about my conversation with Terry on the radio. Told Anthony I wanted a Smoke test and I had CK engine light on. I dropped it off at 11:30am and it wasn’t ready until 4:50pm. My bill was $155 for diagnostic charge. When I picked it up they only looked up codes and gave me an estimate for $9500 to fix the problem. I asked if a smoke test was done and they said NO. THEY only did the codes and not the Smoke test. They don’t listen to the paying customers. VERY DISAPPOINTING

this location and staff are amazing. Very good with communication and had my car fixed in a timely minor. I spoke with Anthony, he helped me a lot and answered all of my questions with no hesitation. 10/10 I will be coming here again.

Fantastic work on my 2010 Suburban over the years. Engine, a/c, battery, electrical, etc. This summer, Cambridge solved a complex air conditioner problem and it is blowing super cold now. Way to GO Terry T, Jr., and tech crew.

SEPT 2024... I will never recommend Cambridge Auto. Unfortunately I cannot give less than 1 star, or the comment will not post. Brought car for diagnostic ($30) of AC. While there, I was told EVERYTHING worked fine and there were no leaks. A further diagnosis ($179) was needed. Mechanic BROKE the blend door and said they would essentially charge 16 hours labor to remove the entire dash, and perform COMPLETE AC kit with evaporator valve and temperature day out. Total cost for that $3523. While performing prior mention, they suggested additional items totalling $940. (PHOTO ATTACHED) **I should note, car has NOT had AC since July 2023.** Fast forward ONE WEEK when the car suddenly stalls when car is decelerating. Not just once, literally 12 times in less than an hour....EVERY TIME the car slowed down, it stalled (not when it was stopped). As it was a holiday weekend it was difficult to find a place open. A mechanic NOT AT CAMBRIDGE AUTO heard the concerns, looked at the car and immediately identified the compressor was bad. The mechanic was shown the quote from Cambridge Auto, to which they replied HOW DID CAMBRIDGE AUTO KNOW ALL OF THOSE THINGS WERE WRONG WITHOUT REPLACING THE COMPRESSOR? The other location and mechanic replaced the compressor and the car hasn't stalled since, and the car has WORKING AC (for $1488). PLUS while waiting both in the waiting room and at home, every inquiry on a timeframe by me for an update with Cambridge Auto was "20 MINUTES". NOT ONCE did Cambridge Auto update me, bring me home, or pick me up with their "20 minutes" promise. I had to constantly follow up. It was horrible customer service both over the phone and in person. Lastly, no where in the office part of Cambridge Auto is their hourly rate chare for labor. It is not anywhere at the front desks, nor is it in their waiting room. Their quotes don't even list the hourly rate! How in the world can they claim "#1 Auto repair place in San Antonio"? Maybe the #1 means only one star review!

When paying they announce they add 3.5 percent for credit card costs. No other business does this. Took more than twice the time of their longest prediction. Had that been realistic I would not have waited there.

I came in for several maintenance items, including wiper fluid nozzle replacement and and oil change. They also needed to replace the wheel bearings on one wheel. They said they’d have it done by Monday. It took until Thursday and they ONLY fixed the bearings. No oil change or nozzle replacement, which was the main reason I brought it in. No explanation as to why they didn’t fix these things since they were listed on the ticket. Edit: I had to take my car back in because I thought there was an issue with the bearings. The staff was able to identify the real issue and advise me moving forward. Although my first experience wasn’t great, they owned up to their oversights and were very helpful. They also fixed my wife’s AC in a timely manner.

I was visiting San Antonio and as soon as I arrived and checked in my hotel on Friday, my AC stopped working. Keep in mind it's weekend, very limited on resources since I am from Houston and don't know anyone I trust to fix my truck. I used Google to find Cambridge Auto shop and next day on Saturday morning, I drove there. I was welcomed and the gentleman working there diagnosed my truck perfectly. I was lucky that he deals with the same warranty I have which is Carshield. Called them and connected him with my warranty and in less than 2 hrs, he got the parts, fixed it and AC is working again. Needless to say that Hummer H2 are difficult to find their parts. I was not looking forward driving 3 1/2 hrs in the heat, but they made it happen. This is what I call an excellent service!! By the way, the cost was $415 either no warranty but I only paid deductible $100. Thank you Cambridge for fixing my truck, I truly appreciate it.

This was the first time Cambridge Auto Center performed work on my car (Sadie) and they took superlative car of her!!!. Anthony kept me informed of their findings and walked me through the repair work that needed to be performed. He was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. Everyone that I encountered at Cambridge Auto Center provided excellent service ( thanks for the courtesy ride, the popcorn and the car wash) very much appreciated!! Cambridge Auto Center will definitely be my go to place for automotive repairs.

Best mechanic shop in town. After having at least 5 different "mechanics " work on my 2016 F150 and leaving worst than before, I found . They will. be the only shop ( including the dealer) that will work on my truck. I highly recommend them. Juan J

If you’re looking for an auto company with customer service, this is definitely not the place will start off with their office manager, Lily who treats you unprofessionally. I took my car here to be fixed and they treated me terrible. Lily needs classes in customer service . If you look under the Better Business Bureau, they have a D rating for a reason 👍

Cambridge Auto Center is an amazing repair shop. They fix my vehicle in one day. The staff was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. This was the best automotive shop I’ve ever been to. And a big thumbs up to Anthony he’s awesome and very helpful!!!

Cambridge auto center is the go to auto shop in San Antonio. I was vacationing to San Antonio when I began having car troubles. Went by Cambridge auto center and they got me right and on my way in no time. The people there are real and helpful, shoutout to Anthony he’s awesome.

I appreciate Uriel and Terry taking care of my Crown Vic. It was long overdue for maintenance and had some problems that, if not taken care of, would escalate. They completed the work and exceeded my expectations. My Crown Vic drove smooth and it felt good on the road. Terry and his staff are pros. Friendly. Patient. I won't consider any other shop for my automotive needs. Cambridge Auto Center is the place to go.

I heard what many people dread - meowing under my car while I was driving. This was the closest place, so I pulled over immediately and checked under the car but could not find the cat. The folks at Cambridge were so helpful, even though I showed up only minutes before closing. They put my car up on a lift and found this sweet kitten, alive and unharmed. We took the kitten home, found its mother, and gently reunited them. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE AT CAMBRIDGE!!

I’ve gone to Cambridge for years but they’ve changed the past few years. I went in 2 weeks ago, telling them what my car was doing. They mid-diagnosed my problem with something that would have cost $2300. They did not even tell me about the ABS problem. I got a second opinion (thankfully), got the ABS system replaced and spent only $1400. Apparently the original diagnosis by Cambridge was a complete lie!

The guys at Cambridge were very good helping me with the tune up on my car despite the fact that finding the right spark plugs proved to be a challenge. Despite that problem it went fairly well and I was nervous that I wouldn't get my car back on Saturday because I need it to drive to my job in Austin on Monday but it all worked out. The fact that they were busy and only had one mechanic for the day kind of upset me but they came thru after I mentioned that I needed it back today. I did talk to Terry Toller and praised the team for doing a great job and like the fact that Cambridge offers such a good warranty for their service and what I've heard about them on WOAI radio is why I went with them in the first place

Went in for a vehicle inspection and was taken care of by Anthony at the front desk. Overall everything was straight to the point, was in and out of there in under 30 minutes. Will definitely be going back!
