Travis and his entire team are a great group of people. Very personable. Each time, I've gone to them for service, they've been upfront about all services needed, the turnaround time, and the pricing. No hidden charges at checkout. They even offer great coupons online. I feel very comfortable leaving my vehicle with them. I've witnessed their interactions with other customers, and like my own vehicle, they took great care and work as if they're working in their own personal vehicle. I've been taking my cars to Carfix on Hillsborough street for about seven years, but no more! My 2008 Subaru Outback recently developed a rattle that was most noticeable when accelerating and at certain speeds. Carfix told me the rattle was caused by a faulty catalytic converter, which would cost more than $1,000 to replace. I thought this was odd since the car passed inspection in the same visit, so I sought a second opinion and discovered the rattle was caused by a loose heat shield and a hole in the exhaust pipe, for a total cost of $200. I no longer trust the mechanics at Carfix to give me an accurate assessment.

Brought my Audi A6 in for an oil change and service. I received exceptional service from Kit and Ron. In addition to the oil change I needed additional services provided. They were very flexible in scheduling that around my needs. They were very transparent in pricing and in giving me alternative options. They also arranged for Uber rides to and from my home while service was being done. Their pricing is extremely competitive compared to the Audi dealership. I can highly recommend CarFix for anyone else and will most certainly be bringing my car here for future care!

I was very happy the job Carfix did replacing my spark plugs and checking my motor system for any issues. They were prompt and fairly priced. The car is running great now. I will go to them again in the future. Very happy with the job they did.

I've gone to Carfix ever since I moved to the area and I haven't regretted it. Great service, reasonable prices, and whenever I ask for an explanation of the work they're recommending they explain in plain terms. On my last visit, I spoke with Kit and Ron and they were friendly and fit me in on short notice. When I remembered I needed to get an inspection for the year they were able to add another repair I needed and the inspection on for me.

My wife was traveling from out of town and had car trouble. We called the closest auto repair shop which ended up being this one and had a great experience. Kit was extremely courteous and offered to do a FREE diagnostic on our vehicle immediately! Full disclosure: we decided to do the repair at our local mechanic due to logistics, but I would have no issues having my car repaired here due to the excellent service we received.

CARFIX - excellent service, as always! Got me in, provided an Uber ride to my nearby office, did a thorough assessment, and promptly got me rolling again. Even better - CARFIX let me know that they covered the repairs 100% because they warranty their work for 5 years!!! I had forgotten that they had replaced that part 3 or 4 years back. They stand behind their work!

I had a fantastic experience with Carfix in Raleigh. The team was incredibly transparent and easy to work with from start to finish. Just moved to NC from out of state and needed somewhere to take my car for a routine oil change & tire rotation. An exhaust shield also needed to be replaced. The original car dealership struck out three times on trying to replace/order the part correctly... the Carfix crew simply used a large washer to re-install the original shield that had fallen off (HEY!). Took a little longer than I expected but Kit took care of me and overall I had a solid experience.

These guys will give you a fair deal. I brought my car in for an inspection because my check engine light had been going on and off. They did a full inspection on the vehicle. When no issues with the engine were found, they gave me a full vehicle inspection report and did not charge me since no maintenance was required.

This location has Superb customer service each and every time I step through the door greeted with the same energy, smiles ,laughs and outstanding performance on cars. Very detailed for a woman to understand in breakdown a problem to a car( gerber). The person that locked me was Steven. He has now went to better positions but he left the store in the best of Hands. I feel secure coming to that location where the he is there or not but God knows I love to see Steven sent from the customer service Gods themselves. He is the Thor of customer service. The team at that location is the Avengers! They are all my super heroes. Keeping me moving when my business is based out of my car daily.

Been coming to the original location for almost a decade. Started coming to this Raleigh location the last couple years. They have vast experience with different types of vehicles. They done my C5 Corvette all the way to my wife's Honda Odyssey. What makes Carfix different is they are locally owned and operated. They have great staff especially Ron and Kit at the counter. You get a list of the work that needs to be done via text and decide what you want them to work on. Because they have your history you can just come back for future work/maintenance. Carfix has more of a personal touch versus a dealership and they listen.

I'm thankful I selected CarFix Auto from my Google search choices. What drew me to them was the number of years of experience and the numerous good reviews. They weren't wrong! Ron and Kit were beyond GREAT! It's like going to a restaurant and being greeted by a sour hostess. The experience has taken a negative bump. These guys are friendly as soon as you walk through the door and talk to you (me being a woman 😀) in terms I could understand about my car so I could make an educated decision. If I could give more stars I would!

Very disappointed with this establishment! My daughter took her car there for a "quick tire patch". She was quoted $50 and said car would be ready in an hour. The car was not ready and so we had to wait until the next day only to find out they wanted to charge her for 4 new tires, an oil change and a multitude of other items. The car was taken in to fix ONE flat tire. They tried to scam her. The business is not ethically sound. *GARNER LOCATION

A1 services definitely a auto service location I would recommend to everyone. The detailed vehicle diagnostic inspection they provide is a winner to help you understand what is needed to keep your vehicle running. The agents are professional, friendly, and full of knowledge. They explan every services that your getting or need and why. The informational and interactive vehicle health report link they send you is the best. Especially it has video links that show how the services are performed.. I couldn't have ask for a better experience.

I get consistency great service here without pressure to add on many other services. They notify me of manufactory recommendations and inform me of the benefits of having them done. They have maintained my vehicles for many years without any issues or concerns. I highly recommend CarFix

Carfix was able to see me on the same day and help figure out what was wrong and got it fixed by the next day! Kit was so nice to work with and explained everything so well and was so helpful. I will definitely be going back for all my car needs.

I had my car towed to them overnight (Oct 2nd) and when I called an hour after they opened the next day (Oct 3rd), they said they were already in the shop working on it. They got back to me maybe an hour later and told me the issues, said they already have the parts ordered and would have it done before business close same day. I felt the brakes and rotors were a bit expensive, but aside from that, they were very honest and patient when I called them back with questions about the engine light codes. They said they don't like replacing parts that don't need them and the mechanic was very thorough and kind over the phone as well. They send you an online view of your car, pictures, the codes, diagnostics, issues, etc and then once done, send you the itinerary of what they did with the billed receipt. They got that car in and out! I really needed a vehicle for next day. Fast, efficient, honest, and careful in their work. Got my car on the road. If they can get it done that fast with careful hands, it's worth the price you pay for it! :) Most other shops take forever and sometimes the whole business day to do one thing. Or they try to sell you things you don't need. Getting your car towed is already stressful enough and they made it so much easier. Thank you for your hard work on my Ford!! You are appreciated. 🫡🤗 EDIT :: I'm going to update this from a 5 to a 1 star. It's been probably a day or two since it was brought home, driven home once by my boyfriend. When I get in the car today (Oct 5th), suddenly the engine starts clicking, it refuses to reverse, and then when I turn it off and back on, it won't actually turn on anymore and will continue clicking. It came back worse than when it went it. At least it ran and it reversed and wasn't clicking. Now there's an even bigger problem with yet another engine light and they left a green screw driver under the hood. I expect to be compensated. I haven't driven my car since the 2nd and now it's not running and in worse condition than when it went in. I have the mileage before and after it went in that proves no one has tried to drive it until today.

IMO a SCAM of a business where we no longer will be frequenting or recommending. CONS: - They DO NOT HONOR COUPONS POSTED on their website. I understand the state inspection but that was less than 1/14th of the total. - INEFFICIENT. They did not check the vehicle after the work was done. - INCONVENIENT. Initially didn’t register state inspection, so had to go call AND physically go back the next day to have corrected. Time is money, and that was an additional hour on another day we had to put in, but they “apologized” for their oversight. - OVERPRICED. - COURTESY SHUTTLE. I get it’s a courtesy, but almost every shop offers that so would be nice if was reliable. PROS: - pleasant and nice, but not worth it IMO. We’ve been coming here since they bought the previous business (which we were customers for years). Overall close to 10 years, with them taking care of our 2-3 vehicles annually and as needed. Each job was no less than $700 (that’s a light job). Since this past experience unfortunately will need to find somewhere else, highly dissatisfied. There are many shops in the area, I would recommend any other ones.

Ron from Carfix went above and beyond. These guys are thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and walk through all costs and recommendations before making you commit. As a bonus, I learned a few things from Ron for a cross-country move I am making, just because he is a helpful, nice guy! I would recommend these guys over anyone in Raleigh.

Super helpful in explaining what was wrong, helped & found an aftermarket part that saved me around 500 or so dollars. Very nice polite people at both n west location and Hillsborough st.
