Listen no one likes bringing there car in to be fixed but the people at Carpenter Lane Garage are top notch. From the woman who works in the office, who is always super pleasant and helpful to the mechanics, who do a great job. Special shout out to Mike the Mechanic...hes a professional who does a fantastic job

Very honest. A place in my area said I needed almost 2,400$ of work to pass inspection. My car had been inspected with minor work needed in September in NC , and looked over in April by the same top-rated auto place in Durham, NC, and again was essentially ok to drive to Philadelphia. Carpenter Lane Garage pointed out things to keep an eye on, but passed my car for the cost of the inspection. I appreciate their honesty. It's essential to always get a second opinion.

Went in for an inspection and emissions. My appointment was for a week out. That's fair, it was not an emergency. The day of, I dropped my car off right at 8am and by 1:30pm, the car was back in my possession. Shop might not be the cheapest, but the convenience of being close to home as well as dealing with a honest, local business makes it a no-brainer. Good communication and a friendly attitude goes a long way in my book.

Extremely nice and reasonable owner that has some of the best technicians working under him. Highly recommend taking any type of vehicle to them as they know it all. Wouldn't hesitate throwing any job their way! 100% awesome business to deal with.

These guys are great! They fit me in last minute and called before they did any additional work to my Jeep. Told me the price up front. They really saved me! Can’t recommend them enough!!

This place charges insanely for labor! I went for the first time to have my inspection completed. I asked them to call me if there was any work that needed to be done. They called me about front rotors and brake pads. I looked at the bill and they had purchased expensive brake pads and rotors. They charged me $250 for labor and my car was done in a day. I'm a teacher and I don't even make that much in a day! Insane!

I have been using Carpenter Lane Garage since the current owner's father used to run the business. They are honest and reliable. If you live in Mt. Airy it is very convenient because you can leave your car in the morning for an inspection or oil change and just walk back home and wait for them to call you when the job is done. When I need to service my car I stop by a day or two before and make an appointment. This way I can drop my car first thing in the morning.

Awesome customer service. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Had a problem with my car and wasnt from the area and found this place online. They were underatanding and went out of their way to get me back on the road safely. Highly recommend!
