Chris and his guys did a great job on my 17 expedition. Had a fuel injector problem annd a few other issues and had it fixed in a day. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend him and his staff. Will be using them again in the future

I had a good experience with Chris he is an excellent person and mechanic. On December 3 I was doing a travel from Maryland to México and had problems with my car the pulley of compresor was doing a horrible noise. I looked on internet a mechanic and i found him i stoped on his address by 3 a.m with cold and snowing i wait for him on my car to him open his shop i had luck because him went to out by 6 a.m. i saw him and talk about my problem. was an angel for me he went to help me and replased that part he worked like 4 hours hard and and puted my car againg on the roud and i keeped driving now i am in México thank you for help me and to be a good person i recomend this fantastic mechanic a 100%. My husband and I had a lovely experience here today. Our car broke down on a roadtrip and we weren’t familiar with the area so we started googling mechanics nearby. Chris was extremely accommodating and was able to fix our car so quickly. He’s very warm and honest. We feel quite lucky to have called him and have him fix our car today. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Chris was the only person that knew exactly what was wrong with my car without even seeing it. He asked the model, year etc over the phone and knew right away, just from me explaining the noise and what it was doing. I had traveled to Tennessee from FL, and even though he was booked out he managed to get my vehicle in so that my daughter and I could get back home to FL. Cannot sing his praises enough! He truly went out of his way to help us. And has the best prices! Thanks so much Chris.

Wow. Easily the smoothest process my husband and I have ever experienced with a mechanic. If you're mechanically challenged, this is the place to go. Honest, trustworthy, and he has a cute dog. Brought my car in for stupid GM problems, he fixed that but it was a larger issue than we expected. He kept us informed, everyday. Everytime he touched my car he let me know. Super super super reasonable prices. HIGHLY recommend. A local business who knows their shit. He was even nice enough to show us exactly what he did, test drive it, and kept the old parts to show us the problem. Will forever take our vehicles here, no doubt.

I had my 2012 VW Beetle 2.0 liter TSI Turbocharged four-cylinder engine towed to Carroll's Automotive Repair Services. Chris called me within a hour telling me that it had a very sick water pump. He quoted me a price for the parts and labor. In which he was reasonable because it's hard to find a professional experienced, good & honest mechanic willing to work on Volkswagens other than a VW Dealership. In which they're very $expensive$ and they will screw you over every chance they get. VWs can be a pain in the butt and a headache to work on/repair. However, Chris ordered the parts, got all the repair work done. Including a oil & filter change that a VW dealership was supposed to have done in May, 2024 but, obviously did not do. I'm very pleased and happy with the honest awesome professional quality of work & service that Chris & his team done. I highly recommend Carroll's Automotive Repair Services.👍🏻

My 2017 Corolla has been good for 154,000 miles no issues whatsoever but of course it finally breaks down. I had just moved here a couple of months ago so I had no idea who to take it to luckily I called Carroll’s automotive. After running every diagnostic possible he finally found it was to much water in my gas if it were anyone else he could of easily lied and gave me a crazy bill and I wouldn’t of known any better I am eternally grateful and can’t recommend him enough.

Very friendly and helpful. We had a pre purchase inspection done on a vehicle that we were looking at. They seemed to be thorough and they were able fix a couple of existing problems quickly. We had several scheduling conflicts that caused us to keep cancelling and rescheduling on them but luckily they were very understanding and worked with our schedules. We live 1 1/2 hrs away but I would gladly make the trip there in the future if we need any work done on any of our vehicles.

Chris is very nice and knowledgeable, he seems to try and find out what is going on with your vehicle. He gets you in and out very quickly. We have had terrible experiences with auto mechanics in the past,but with Chris I think he can be trusted to do the very best to try to find the problem and get it fixed as quickly as possible...they are wonderful to work with I would not think of using anyone else

Hottest days of the year and our AC is not working. Checked with a couple of shops that could not help before next week, so I went to Carroll's. Chris was very busy but said, "I'll check it out and give you a call." He found the problem, called back, gave me a quote, fixed it that day and was very reasonable for what he did. Good mechanic. Honest. Likeable. Reasonable. And defender of our country. I highly recommend him.

I cannot say enough about Carroll's. After a disastrous experience with another mechanic, I called Chris about leaking head gaskets on my very old, very loved Subaru. He spent time explaining problems, pros and cons, replacing the engine vs. repairing the head gaskets, and prices. I agreed to drop off the car on Friday, was warned that he had 2 cars ahead of me, but would get back to me on Monday. Within 3 hours of the drop-off, he called to say he'd found the leak. His price and time estimate was in line with what I'd heard elsewhere. May take up to 2.5 weeks due to sending out for machine work. He then messaged me with an itemized quote, followed by another call. My car is over 21 y/o, and due to age, will most assuredly need the timing belt and water pump worked on if they have not yet been done. Since he had to take apart the engine anyway, he could do those if I chose. No extra expense for labor which was approx. 12 hours already. I said yes, signed the new, extremely reasonable quote. Nine days later I received a call that the car was ready, and I could come get it. In the interim, he'd noticed a headlight was out and fixed it, added coolant to my empty, leaky air conditioner, and checked with me about my 7 y/o battery, which was ready to die. When I arrived, he showed me the head gaskets with the leaks, and used a UV light to show me possible places for the air conditioner leak should I want it fixed later. He also used the time as a teaching moment for the other mechanics. This man is knowledgeable, reasonable, honest, and it's obvious he loves what he does. While the shop is a bit hidden, once you find it you won't go elsewhere. I certainly won't. It was worth the 4 other mechanics I went through to get to Chris. I am so grateful for his help.

I have never given a negative review. I talk to the shop about getting a diagnostic, told them I had it plugged up and it was showing shift 1-2 solenoid codes or something in that nature I read it off a print off at the time and the check engine light was on, and I was trying to get to the root of the issue I would schedule a repair I just really wanted to get more clarity on the issue, he said he could squeeze me in the following day (Thursday) for a diagnostic I called back later that day and he had to change the day which was fine because I hadn’t dropped the car off yet and he said if I brought it in first thing in the morning, Friday he could have it done for sure. He was very busy and catching up I understood, I said ok I would bring it in early in the morning Friday. I spoke with him 3 different times the second time we spoke he said my car was next (a little before 12) and he would have it done by end of day he informed me they were busy but would definitely get the full diagnostic done. I called again a little after 3:30 to ask if I could come pick up the car, he said sure we got behind but I will get the full diagnostic by the time you are here and have it ready to go. He said what time I said between 4 and 4:30 I show up a little after 4 he said he didn’t have a chance to do the full diagnostic. I still had to pay the full diagnostic fee and he said he would squeeze it in sometime the week after next…. I’m very dissatisfied with the service because I called three different times and was assured it would be done I was never rude or demanding and had I been informed it couldn’t be done today that would have been fine things happen but instead I got a code scan and a lot of uncertainty because he wasn’t able to finish and couldn’t finish for several days. There was several chances to let me know it couldn’t be done today, but instead I got charged a full diagnostic fee with a promise to do a full one next time in several days, so I paid and left. A big part of buisness is honesty. If you can’t get it done you can’t, but I was continuously told it would get done. Only to show up and be extremely disappointed and then be told I said I’d try and squeeze it in…. No you said that the first time I called the rest of the times the phrase was “we’re very busy but we will get it done” now I can’t trust to bring it back for a full diagnostic because the trust is already broken. I paid the money because I requested a service even though I didn’t get the full diagnostic because at the end of the day I’m honest. I feel mislead and lied to people depend on there vehicles all you had to say is it can’t be done today and I could have paid someone else and not wasted my time and my money. I know by this review the shop will know I’m the owner of the HHR. I’m just warning people about my experience. I won’t be back because to many times the option to be honest was passed up including the part where you charged full price. And then proceeded to say it would be not next week but the week after maybe Tuesday or Wednesday I don’t know if it’s safe to drive….. for all we know it might not run until then so what good did my 127$ get me? Nothing. I didn’t get the full “hour” HUGE LET DOWN.

Chris was able to diagnose the check engine light on my 2015 f 150 as well show me the live data on the issue the truck was having. *Update, 7/3/24 - Chris replaced my f150 3.5 Ecoboost valve cover gasket and did an excellent job!

I tried Carroll's after seeing reviews. My son's car had a few issues, so I called them and made an appointment. I took the vehicle in on a Tuesday morning, and got it back on Thursday afternoon. For all that had to be done, I was very pleased not only with how quickly everything was completed, but the cost was much less than I anticipated. Chris communicated with me along the way on the repairs needed and the cost before moving forward with the repairs. I will definitely be bringing all my vehicles here for repairs.

Last year I went to 3 different auto repair shops to have my truck serviced for a popping in the front end with no success. While in Tn on vacation I decided to give this place a shot after reading the reviews and friends telling me it was a great place to go. I showed up with no appointment, Chris got me right in, diagnosed my truck and I was pulling out 10min later with the issue fixed. Quality of work is superb and prices are beyond reasonable. Would more than recommend sending anyone to this shop and if I need any future work I will be going back again.

Carroll's Automotive is a local veteran family owned business. I had a problem with my Jeep. Chris got me in that morning. He diagnosed the problem and completely walked me through what would be required to fix the issue. His pricing was more than fair. He ordered the parts on the spot and within an hour my Jeep was back on the road. We just moved to Bristol and finding a local honest mechanic is a blessing. Thanks Chris!!

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition. It has 190000 miles on it, and although I have taken care of it, the original parts will only last so long. I took it to these guys to have some extensive front end work to it, and they treated me right. My car is alot safer to drive, and the price to have it done(in a very short time) was very reasonable. Thanks for taking such good care of my needs.

They did a full inspection, tire rotation, and diagnostic as well as an oil change. They did not charge me for the diagnostic and the whole ordeal was incredibly affordable. They also took the time to talk to me about my car and teach me some things. Great experience.
