Tony is awesome! Brought my vehicle in the other day for service and as usual the staff was very professional, Tony made sure to keep me updated on the process as well as making sure I was aware of any other issues that would keep my vehicle running at its best. Took my car in for check engine light, mechanic also did a safety check and found several things that needed replaced. I was very satisfied with their work and my car now runs beautifully. I’ve already recommended their shop to a few family members and friends.

I brought my car here several times. The first time I was very pleased and felt they did a great job. Which made me go back. Big mistake from there on out. I had to have my car towed they’re because the check engine light came on and I couldn’t get it to accelerate. Get it there and it turns on and goes. They turn off the check engine light and gave it back after they drove it around and couldn’t get the check engine light to come On. I then drive it around and wow the check engine light comes on again. Same thing they turn off the light and can’t get it to do it again. Give me the car back and this time I drive it and you guessed it my car stopped accelerating. On a very dangerous road with zero shoulders and 4 children in the car. I called and left them a message FURIOUS. Brought it to a new place and guess what they figure it out day one and have the part on order to fix the problem. I told them after the second time I was not pleased they CONTINUED to just turn off the check engine light and fixed nothing. Just sending me on my way with a car that they never fixed.

Patrick is so helpful & they are great mechanics! I don't go anywhere else, they make sure I understand what's going on with the car and offer fantastic service. Update: A year later, they are still the only shop I will step foot in. The way this business operates has set a standard of excellence for auto repair shops, not only for mechanical knowledge and ability, but also professionalism, kindness, and honesty. I've spent a chunk of change here, but I know these guys have and will continue to go out of their way to make car issues less of a hassle for me. Their 30,000 mile repair warranty has saved my behind a couple times now. Not because anything was wrong with their work, but because of faulty parts. I seriously cannot say enough good things about these people. Especially as a young woman, they explain things to me in a way I can understand without it feeling condescending, which I so much appreciate. When I first started driving, I didn't know anything about cars outside of Top Gear. After coming here for so long, I've learned a TON about how cars work. It gives me so much peace of mind, just to know "oh, that's just the noise when it switches gears," etc. Plus it makes watching old episodes of Top Gear way more fun. My car is old, 2002, and they've kept her purring somehow. If you're on the fence about where to bring your car, GO HERE! You will not be disappointed. The one-star reviews are from people who don't understand that every car has quirks, and these guys can't just send your car through an MRI to see what's wrong with it. Labor costs money, good tools and parts cost money. Support the trades.

My husband brought his 2016 VW Jetta into this shop in July of 2021 as the AC was not working. CarSmart “repaired” it to the tune of $2,400 (which we have since paid interest on since it was financed). To my husband’s dismay, the AC never worked. It blows cool air, but not cold. It definitely cannot keep up with the heat in the summer. After a few months of noticing the shotty AC, he brought this to the shop’s attention. They told him there’s nothing they could do (even though the parts were under warranty) and his complaint was not documented, so we have no “official record” that there was an issue within the first 12 months. Fast forward to present, I’m cleaning up paperwork & find his original invoice for the repairs. It quotes a 36 month/36k mile pro-rated warranty (which my husband’s car fits the parameters of) and tells us to go to their website for full terms and conditions. I pull up the warranty on the site which happens to be the NAPA 36/36 warranty (see photo). This warranty states that covered services (of which the AC systems is considered eligible) shall be replaced at NO EXPENSE to the customer. We brought the car in, they determined it’s a faulty compressor that they installed in 2021. They wanted to charge us another $1,600 for the repair. (When pressed, they said they could take off $300, but that’s it). When I directly quoted the NAPA warranty to them, they said they would “do more digging.” They came back and said that the NAPA warranty “likely did not exist in 2021” or “was the same as their pro-rated one” when we had the repairs done, and that the shop pro-rated warranty stands. When explaining we contacted them within the 12 months, they simply said they didn’t have record of it and wouldn’t honor the repairs. Additionally, when asked to produce a copy of the alleged 2021 NAPA warranty that was “in effect” during the time of our repairs, they could not do so. We called NAPA and explained the full situation. They said the compressor should be covered in full since we are within the 36/36 warranty; however, we have to take it up with the original repair shop since we are within 25 miles of the shop. They have absolutely refused to help resolve the issue without charging us another arm & a leg even though the parts they installed were admittedly faulty and not functioning properly. When asked to refund the pro-rated amount of the original repairs (which is also an option listed under their so-called shop warranty) they refused to do so because they said it was “their discretion” with how they resolve the problem. In their eyes, they “offered to fix it” (to the tune of another $1,300-$1,600). But since our financial situation is “not their issue,” they would not refund the pro-rated amount so we could seek services elsewhere and at least recoup some of the money we’ve expended. Overall, the management here is not to be trusted. They price gouge people and take advantage of them. (We had another shop quote us only $700 out the door for a new compressor installed). They refuse to honor NAPA warranties and essentially say that their own warranty “trumps” the NAPA facility warranty when NAPA says otherwise (and when they couldn’t produce evidence of whether NAPA warranty they claimed was in place at the time of our repairs). I would never recommend this facility to a friend for repairs and will certainly never pay them another dollar for repairs. Furthermore, our car suffered significant hail damage while sitting at the shop during the storm over the weekend, but the shop didn’t even think to let us know as a courtesy it might have been damaged. UPDATE 9/10/24 : I find it very ironic that since we brought the NAPA warranty to the attention of the shop owners that they have since removed it from their website & replaced it with their limited warranty information. Seems shady that their limited warranty should “supersede” NAPA’s even though they are a certified NAPA repair center. 🤔 Reported to the Better Business Bureau and are currently in the mediation stages, although I’m not holding my breath.

This is the place you want to go to get your car fixed. They do it right the first time. In the past years of going to probably nine different garages I would never go anywhere else but Car Smart they're actually better than a dealer. They fix it they get you back on the road my car has 410,000 miles. My car runs better now than when I bought it 7 years ago when it had 140,000 Mi on it. I do Uber I do Lyft and I transferred students for the city of St Louis Public Schools show my car has to be in tip top shape which it is due to car smart

New to St. Louis and needed a trustworthy mechanic. I received an oil change coupon in the mail and after checking out their reviews, I decided to get mine done there. Patrick was great and so very helpful! They go out of their way to serve their customers. I’ve been back for a few things and they’re always so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend them! Plus, if you have to leave your car they take you home and pick you up when it’s ready. Thanks Patrick and staff!

I’ve been taking my GTI to these gents for 5 years now. They are always up front with the costs, always ask for approval before work, and keep me updated with texts and pictures so I can make the decisions based on my budget. They never upsell me and get the work done quickly. It’s easy to make appointments via the web! Great neighborhood mechanics!

For a Year Now I Have Been Taking My 2013 BMWX5 To Carsmart, First Experience Was Very Helpful, Patrick Helped Me Out With Financial Suggestions That Were Approved, However, I Did Notice That Im Leaving With Other Problems, My Sensors In The Vehicle Wasn't Programmed Back My Sit Belt Funtions Were Off Giving Me A Malfunction Alert, Called Them About This The First Incident, They Wanted To Charge Me. Excuse Was It Could Be A Sensor Problem, The Problem I Found Out Recently That Every Time You Touch A Foreign Car The Sensors Must Be Programmed Back They Fixes The Problem I Come In With But Leaves With Other Problems They Created And Pretends Its Another Arised Mechanic Problem, SMH..I Have To Pay. The Company Have Used This Excuse More Then Once And Constantly Over Looks They Have To Reprogram My Sensors That Was Thrown Off During A Repair. I Just Spent 1500$ On A Started Repair, With This Company, Which Initially Started Off As A Push Botton Problem.They Repaired The Started But Not The Push Botton, Which Should Have Been Working Once The Started Was Replaced And Guess What My Sensors That Controls My Trunk System Its Not Working Properly Do To The Sensors Not Being ReProgram Properly, Just Another Way To Charge Extra Repair Money, It's Terrible! Leaving With More Car Problems Is Ludicrous And The Courtesy Service Is Out The Door, Spent That Kind of Money And my Truck Wasn't Vacuum, I Felt Like I Went To A Shade Tree Mechanic, Imagine That, It's Sad. Everyone Seems Nice And Helpful, Then Theres Is Alot Of Dishonesty Can't Keep Making Money Off A Under Paid LIVING WAGE PAID FAMILY BY NOT REPROGRAMMING THE SENSORS ITS NOT RIGHT TO COME IN WITH A PROBLEM THEN LEAVE WITH ANOTHER ONE, I WAS TOLD BY BMW DEALER, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH PLACES LIKE THIS, THANKS FOR ADDING TO THE DECEITFUL MORALITY OF THE BROKEN ENOCOMIC SYSTEM OF LEARNED LESSONS, WE PAYING OUT OF POCKET SO IT WILL DO ME GOOD TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER, CONSUMERS BEWARE.

I came for service after almost losing control of my car. I was able to be seen and giving complimentary service with a ride home while repairs were made and a ride back to accept the services rendered. The repairs were completed over two days and I also received a loaner car for no additional fee. Please come to this place for all auto repairs. They are courteous and professional.

I have now had the pleasure of working with Patrick and the team at CarSmart twice. They were able to diagnose the issues with my vehicle quickly and efficiently and repaired them with quality parts and service. Patrick is really awesome and attentive to customers and their needs. I had gone in for my safety and emissions test and was completed. That test ending up expiring due to the State of Missouri taking way to long to process my paperwork, I was able to be seen again and had it taken care of again!

Took my vehicle in for tire repairs and it has not functioned the same since. I had to take it back two times for additional repairs because of something that they did incorrectly. Tried to reach out via email but to no avail. While my car was in their care, my windshield was cracked. They stated that they were not at fault. The cracked windshield caused other issues due to the electrical system. It's sad because when I called, I was told that they were able to fix my vehicle (BMW). Then they ghosted my calls and emails.

After going to this shop for years. I needed new tires and had them order and put them on. When I got home and looked at them they looked old and very beat up. When I called the shop and mentioned they looked old they said that tires will get scuffed up in the warehouse. A friend of mine showed me where to look at the origination date of the tires and sure enough several of the tires were years old! Needless to say I insisted on new tires! I never said I wanted cheap old tires. I never went back, I would never trust them again. After over 10 years of going to this shop and tried to scam me. What business owner would do that to a long time customer.
