I can’t begin to say enough about the thoughtfulness, care, and excellent work CARSTAR Chilton Nob Hill gave me. Many thanks to Rica who set up an appointment for an estimate, and patiently walked me through the procedure she’d be taking with my insurance company. After agreeing to everything I dropped my car off expecting them to keep it 4 or 5 days, but to my surprise the job (fender bender) only took 2 days. Texts were sent to me keeping me informed of the progress. My car looked brand new when I picked it up! Thanks to Rica, Alex, and the entire team!

I used this shop for body repair a few years ago, and it was great. But now I have another repair to be done. I made an on line appointment, but days later I got email saying appt was cancelled and I should call. So I’ve been calling but no one answers phone or returns messages. Apparently this is happening to others because the mailbox is now full. This is actually the second time this has happened to me, I had tried about a year ago and was also unable to get appt or speak to anyone. I wouldn’t bother trying so hard with this location, except it is very convenient for me and they did do a great job years ago. I don’t know what is going on, but I give up.

My car was sideswiped by a hit-and-run while parked. The body work completed by Carstar was fine, although communication was less than stellar necessitating constantly staying on top of them. After the work was completed, I drove out of the shop and immediately got a warning light about the rear seat belt. I drove right back in and had to schedule time for them to fix what they'd missed. The body shop proceeded to prove they know NOTHING about electronics. By not properly shutting them down before they did the work, they blew out the electronics that operate the front airbag and seat controls. Then after failing to solve the problem for days and days, they said it was not their fault because the hit-and-run damage was in the rear, and they were therefore absolved of all responsibility. The seat wouldn't move. The airbag warning was on all the time. The dealership determined that the problem with the seat was that the body shop had blown a fuse, removed it, and FAILED TO REPLACE IT. That's all it took to fix the seat, after I drove for weeks with my knees pressed against the steering wheel. The airbag, however, was another story. The dealership found that a locking tab was now missing and the seat belt assembly was possibly damaged from their errant work. Estimate? Between $950 - $2500. The car is only worth $8000. I sold it instead of doing the work or I'd be taking these folks to small claims court. Run from this shop.

Very nice people; the work seems to be good. It pains me not to give 4 or 5 stars, but the delays (I was told numerous times that they're 'short-staffed today', they've 'got a guy out', they had to be out of the office on a certain day) piled up and they matter. I would totally use this facility again, but with the knowledge that I'll be without my vehicle for longer than I had hoped.

My vehicle had a minor accident and I just wanted this repair process to go smoothly and quickly. Rica was super kind and helpful. Paperwork was straight forward and communication was very clear. My car and I were well taken care of from all the employees here! I got my car back in a week like they promised and received text updates along the way to show the progress. Thanks so much for your assistance. My car looks like nothing ever happened.

I was directed to them via my insurance and initially went there for an estimate. Everything went super smooth and Alex was great at responding to all of my questions! Came back later for the job after estimate was approved by the insurance and again the experience was so effortless. One thing that I was impressed with was that they managed the car rental drop off and pick up to their shop which made my life much easier. You never hope to go back to a body shop but if I have to, this is the place I'll go.

Chilton was amazing to work with when I messed up my side mirror. Rica was so knowledgeable and helpful and got my new mirror in right away for me and replaced it in the same week. I was quoted over $250 more at other local auto body shops. I highly recommend this shop and will be coming back here again for any car issues. 10/10 service! Thank you!

I found this place through my insurance, after a tree fell on my car. The original dealings with them were great - the staff was super friendly and responsive. Unfortunately when I picked up my car, the replaced bumper was completely crooked. I tried to bring this up and got a lot of excuses and reasons why it was done right and couldn’t be better than that (even though it was LESS crooked before the repair, after a tree had been sitting on it for a week). In particular one of the mechanics was extremely aggressive and rude. However, I insisted and they said they’d try again, and later that day it was repaired and straight. Now the car looks great! They do a good job, just make sure to check the work and don’t let yourself get bullied if something doesn’t look right.

I was pleasantly surprised how my experience went in a very good way. I brought my car to Chilton Auto Body because my rear bumper was damaged by being rear ended. The customer service was great, the staff is friendly, welcoming and kept me informed when I would get my car back. The repair work is fantastic and I recommend anyone to Chilton!

The employee Sean G was very communicative from beginning to the end. The estimate date reflected the actual day of pickup. I was very impressed with the repair and the service done to my vehicle. I hope I don’t have to ever return, but if I have to I would chose this place again.

Took my car here after my catalytic converter got stolen. Everyone was very nice and professional. Even though my cat was on back order for months, they somehow got ahold of one within a month. Very efficient, super satisfied.
