CarX located at 7424 S. Stony Island, Chicago completed a masterful exhaust upgrade for me today! Rob McGee, Master Technician, along with Manager Travis McClore worked with me to find a solution for my 90’ BMW E30 325i rusting muffler clamps, bracket and hangers … and the result was truly amazing 🥳 A classic like mine needed extra special attention and that’s exactly what I got from these guys!!! Nicely done Gentleman ♥️

Got an oil change in the fall, 20$ additional charge on bill for 'fluid top off' I didn't ask for. A week later my windshield wiper fluid ran out. Adding random fees and they aren't open to debate that it wasn't a service I needed (guess I donated to their business). The comment before mine implied this is a pattern for women customers.

Women , beware! I had work done on my car. It was suggested I get a new battery and struts. I paid for this and was pleased until I heard a new noise. Went today to same store and was told I needed new sway bar links. Price quoted $610.00. I asked trusted auto mechanics and was told this price was too much. The desk person who waited on me was impatient and very disengaging. His frustration with limited personnel was evident. However, I needed service not his attitude. I do not recommend this location for service. I got service done at another location at a cheaper price. Beware of this store!

Car x played me for the foolery on some real crap. They told me my breaks were fine a lie . That there were no issue with my truck after pa ye jig for a wheel alignment and oil change on Groupon . To me not being able to get an alignment due to my tires . X cxx but told me ecrtuhg lol everything looked great lies lies lies false report

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. My time and trust were completely disregarded during my visit. I scheduled a same-day appointment and was assured that the service I needed would be available. However, when I arrived, I discovered that most of the mechanics had already gone home, leaving only one person available. This led to significant delays and made me feel as though my time was unimportant to them. Additionally, I was told in advance that the tire pressure sensor I needed was in stock. Once there, I found out it wasn’t, which added to the frustration. The overall attitude of the staff only made things worse—they were dismissive and rude, showing zero consideration for me as a customer. If you value your time and expect to be treated with respect, go somewhere else. This business doesn’t prioritize its customers and certainly doesn’t deserve your business.

I went to the location the day before Thanksgiving and was please with the service. The guy at the front desk, Tim, was very helpful and kind. I needed an oil change and there was a couple of people ahead of me and it went quickly. I've often driven pass there but never stopped in. I will be going there for my car needs. Thanks Tim and crew! You guys are amazing!

Poor experience my time & money thrown out the I honestly don't think it's just this location I had issues with the 54th pulaski location as well came in for a simple wheel alignment and wheel balancing neither was done correctly in my opinion I don't believe they did the balancing at all I purchased brand new tires had suspension work done. First off I had to take a Uber from and back to the location drive off had the steering wheel straight but my truck going veering off to the right secondly I get on the highway get up to 60 mph i felt vibration in the steering wheel and my seat mind you i had work done to front end also brand new tires so I doubt they even did the wheel balancing first and last time coming to this location

Car needed two new battery terminals which was installed. Few months later car battery terminals stop providing power to the battery suddenly. The battery was good. Oh well it's okay.

I must say, the service I received on my vehicle far exceeded expectations I was able to get in and out expeditiously. The fact that the entire team including management Travis & Timothy are always available and extremely knowledgeable about what services their location can provide, standing on business. This was my second time at this location, and I’ll definitely be returning along with referring business their way. Give this crew every tool available to be even more successful (LED overhead lights) would be an overall good look like the Homewood location, and a better aesthetic for people waiting (some more plant's and better ventilation). Great Job!!

Scheduled an oil change for 9am, got here on time. Spoke with the front and was told to just sit and wait. But of course the women who come in get all the niceties. Sitting for almost an hour and car still hasn’t even been taken in. Might as well just go to the dealer or work on your car yourself if able.

Great job team 74th and Stony Island CarX..the turn around time was fast.they drop me off at my house and delivered my truck back to me repaired brakes alternator and battery.I appreciate how professional Travis, Bernard and AC treated me. Thanks again to the mechanic getting me back into my truck.

This place is probably great for oil changes, repairs and tires, but it is listed as a emissions test site. I called and the person that answered the phone gave me an appointment. When I got there, the staff person told me they used to be one, but they no longer do testing. PLEASE have Car-X at 7424 S. Stony Island removed from the list. I'm not happy that I went after getting an appointment just to be turned away. Whoever is answering the phone, have the right info so people don't waste their time like I did.

The service was terrible from start. I arrived about 15 minutes before my scheduled time. The associate at the counter did not acknowledge my presence to busy listening to a zoom meeting(didn't catch name , he never addressed it , no name tag). Once 8 am struck he went to turn lights and music on in the work area, that is when I noticed another individual. It may not happened exactly in this order, but he asked for my keys only to toss to the other guy and it hit the ground. I bought that to his attention his reply" your key not broke or damage". He appeared irritated that I was asking questions from start about how long the oil change/tire rotation was gonna take. I'm spending my money I have right to know what's going on with my vehicle. At some point he stated " I can have him pull your car". You can go somewhere else! Yes that's fine and you are absolutely right!!!. People wonder why one don't do business in certain areas.... Customer Service is KEY to satisfaction......

Got an oil change here a while ago. I showed up at opening time and nobody was there. After 20 mins, the mechanic showed up, but said he couldn't start because the clerk was nowhere to be found. Around 30 mins after scheduled opening time the clerk showed up and they got started, and finished around 2 hours after I got there. The mechanic left the peeled-off old mileage sticker from the windshield on the floor of the car and a grease smear on the windshield where he applied the new one. At the end, he test drove it and left the steering wheel coated in a layer of grease. They got the job done but I was not impressed with the experience.

Took my car there twice to get flats fixed, fair price and friendly guys at the front desk! Be flexible though because they aren’t always the fastest but they’ll get the job done

They open at 7:30 AM… I pull up to get air for my tires today 7/7/23… Manger( Heavy set African American) sitting in his truck in the parking lot… I go in to do business and no one is there.. Just a empty store.. He then gets out his truck and comes to the counter and ask could he help me.. I said I need to get some air in my tires… He then proceeded to tell me he has no one there and they don’t get there until after 9… What kind of mess is this??? It’s business hours yet you are not doing business…. You guys could never work on my vehicles 🤷🏾‍♂️😳

They told me I needed rotors. However, I'd just gotten rotors. I went back to the dealer where I got them and my rotors were fine.
