I highly recommend this location. Why? Bob. This is one of the best auto places I have ever been. Bob is why. First, he is extremely professional. He is knowledgeable and his expertise shows. He is great with people. I sometimes wait at the shop and I see how he has established a well deserved rapport with the customers. He is the reason that site does so much business. He is the reason I go. The staff is equally knowledgeable. They take my vehicle and within a short amount of time I know what is wrong with it and how much it will take to repair as well as the cost. Phenomenal service! I was able to drop off my car in the morning and it was fixed by the early afternoon! I had several problems and they were able to fix all of them within the same day. Very honest and fair people especially Bob! The total cost was cheaper than what other auto shops quoted me and they honor first responders and teachers with a discount. I will be going back to be serviced by them again!

Bob was so helpful. We received incorrect tires online from a separate company and he called us to help get them returned. He installed the correct tires in a timely manner. We will come back if we need any other help.

I’ve always had great service in the two years since moving to the neighborhood but today was outstanding! I had stopped in to talk to Bob yesterday about a tire with a slow leak and a possible battery issue. I was going to schedule an appointment for Thursday (three days later) when I got home. The next morning my car wouldn’t start. The 12 degree temperature was the last straw for my battery. After AAA jumped it (and told me the nearest shop available was in Skokie) I decided to take a chance on Car-X. Not only was was car looked at within ten minutes, within 30 Bob (I believe he’s the owner) called me with an estimate and two hours later I had my car back! I can’t thank them enough! Highly recommended!

Steven is the best! There was a misunderstanding with the all season tire I asked for my BMWX3. He corrected the issue and didn’t charged me anything anymore. I would still consider going back to this shop for any car maintenance that I’ll need in the future.

I’ve had a lot of work done here- oil change, brake pads replaced, fuel line replaced, bearings replaced- and they’re always professional, fairly-priced, and fast. 5 out of 5! Big ups to Steven and Bob and their team.

Possibly the best experience you can have. Costco made me go through two appointments spanning about 6 hours, and they never even touched my car. Costco really doesn’t care if you are inconvenienced or upset (Costco Tire on Clybourn, you can see the reviews). Here, I was late (my own doing) and they still changed my tires in about 30 minutes. I had two ask twice , as I was in shock by the speed. It’s very easy to talk to these gentleman and you’ll get good service. Quality service is rare now a days, so stop by this place and get quality service.

Came in for a quick oil change and I got caught up in traffic to pick it up later in the evening. They stayed open a few minutes past close to allow me to pick it up. Great guys and they are very quick to respond.

I love this place and the guys who work here, but apparently I can no longer call the garage directly! I used to call and say “when can I come in?” Now I have to go through this baloney answering service to make an appointment. I did that, but when I showed up, the guys didn’t even know I was coming! So this answering service thing is the worst, but the actual guys who do the work are still the best. Please put it back how it used to be so I can call the place directly!

Cannot say enough good things about Bob and his colleagues at this Car X! They're fast, efficient, communicative, very reasonable (to the point of often not even charging for minor stuff / issues that turn out to be nothing). I keep returning to them again and again, and each time I'm reminded of why I like them so much! Highly recommended.
