There are still honest businessmen out there. I have to admit, I am usually apprehensive about taking my car to any repair shop because it always feels like every time I do there is always something new that is found by the mechanic that needs fixing and if it’s not repaired, “you will run into problems down the road”. But not today. I had convinced myself that I needed new brakes for my car. For a week or so I had been hearing my brakes squeaking when braking. I took my car to CAR X located on Glen Este-Whithamsville Rd. in Cincinnati OH. I was expecting to hear from the mechanic that I needed new front brakes. But to my surprise, after the FREE brake inspection, I was given the great news that my brakes were fine and did not need to be replaced. I was told that the squeaking was most likely due to dirt in the wheels. I went home, thoroughly cleaned the wheels and the squeaking is gone. Thank you Lee and the rest of the team at CAR-X!! Not only you saved me from paying for an unnecessary expense, but you have somewhat restored my faith in that there are still some honest people with integrity out there. I will definitely be recommending this shop.

Torqued 2 of my lug nuts in the rear to over 180 ft/lbs. The Honda manual says it's supposed to be 90ft/lbs They didn't remove the old sticky weights on the tires when rebalancing. They then added another hammer on weight. Creating a counter balanced tire. Go somewhere else.

Had a tire go down on me during a long road trip. Called up this location at 5:30. Even though they close at 6, they got me in, found the leak, and had a new tire on in 20 minutes. They didn't upsell me on a better, higher mileage tire, and didn't try to sell me all 4 for a set. Excellent experience.

I got my car fixed here, everybody was very professional, very polite, and they did a great job. I've pretty much always gone to Car-X for vehicle repairs and I'm glad that after moving there is another Great location near me

I grew up believing that chain repair shops are usually more likely to recommend unnecessary repairs and charge way more than smaller shops. That may be true, but THIS CarX location has ALWAYS been more than fair to me and my family…we’ve been bringing our cars here for years and have always been treated well, charged reasonable rates for repairs and they’ve caught and fixed things that other shops couldn’t figure out. We’ll keep coming here as long as they are still managed by Lee Bailey, who always gives us great service. - Larry Wical

Please beware.. I took my daughter car in for a tune up. The car was running great prior to taking it to this location. Spent $300 and the car literally stop the next day. Towed the car back up there for them to tell me she needs an engine. They did something to her car. I had the car checked out a few days before I took it there. They are the worse car shop I’ve ever experienced. I use to visit the location on Reading Road years ago but I stop going cause of the problems I’ve created after going for 1 problem. I didn’t fight it cause I my brother told me not to take it there and for that this will be a lesson learned. I’m posting this cause I do not want anyone else to go through what I’ve just went through so please becareful. Go down the street to Tire discounters or Firestone.

Lee and his team have worked on all of our cars for the last couple years and have always done an outstanding job. He’s never tried to upsell us on anything we didn’t 1000% need, he always explains exactly why we need something or what can wait, and he always gets the work done as close as possible to when we need it back. With that being said, my fiance works on cars on the side and Lee and his team at car x are the only people he trusts to do the work he doesn’t have the time to do himself so that’s saying something in itself. I would recommend this car x to ANYONE that needs work done. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Typically always go here. Went to PA to visit my family and needed an oil change so I got one done. Found out that Car - X had bent my oil plug last time I was in for an oil change and didn’t say a word to me. Won’t be in ever again. If you break it, fine, don’t mess with my car, just tell me the truth and it’ll be resolved. Very disappointed in them. I’ll pay an extra $20 to get my oil changed elsewhere from now on.

Every detail I asked for was covered! Nice job! Even when I asked specific questions, the response was positive. Even had the opportunity to show a young technician how they had the model year molded into the taillight plastic (a classic car from the 60's was in the shop, too.

Quit smoking in your garage next to vehicles you're working on, my girl brought her Honda in for a tire replacement and rotation, and the men working on the vehicles smoke right next to the cars they work on, then proceed to test drive while absolutely reeking of smoke! Disgusting!

Wonderful service, fast and officiant. Walked in today to have tires installed, they were busy but got us in and had it done within an hour! Highly recommend.
