Car-X Crestwood, Mo. is my location & wouldn’t even think about taking our vehicles anywhere else! They’re all very friendly, fair and extremely knowledgable! I’ve taken our vehicles to them for several different issues & it seems they can fix anything!

I work across the street from this place. I had a patient whose car wouldn’t start. Even after jumping the car. I first called O’Rileys who is also across the street. They offered NO help, even after I explained my patient was older, had no phone, and jumping her car wasn’t working. I then tried calling Car-X. As soon as I explained the situation, Junior, walked right over with a jumper box and helped get my patient over to his lot. He was so kind and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you so much Junior!

I am updating/editing my previous 1 star review that was written 3 days ago. I had an issue with how I was treated by the manager Phil. Although initially I had filed a complaint with CarX corporate, I can honestly say that they have exceeded my expectations by contacting me and offering me an apology, as well as a $373.00 refund. The owners of CarX showed me that not only do they care about the success of their stores, but they also value their customers, and are willing to do what's right.

I called before visiting, was given a quote on brakes, after waiting for a quote, he adds a bunch of charges, and states my rotary legally have to be replaced in order for themselves as a company to replace my brakes. I asked if the rotary could be resurfaced, and he told me that no one resurfaces rotates anymore. He lied to me. I internet searched resurfaced rotars, the maps shown resurfacing at the location I was standing next to, I looked over to see that OReileys was next door.ORelieys resurfaces rotars. He tried to say that he was the person that would be Giving me My keys My keys were never his to ‘give’ back to me. he repeated to me that he ‘told’ me that they don’t resurface rotars, and he exampled a violent fit in front of me, and people think I’m not fit….

Seem to be good honest guys. They helped me, a tech also, got cancer and needed help. Didn't tell them. So honesty check is good. Price is good too. Wish I could just rent a stall for myself. That would be sweet.

Walked in with a nail in my tire and no appt, walked out 30 minutes later less $25 and plus a patched up tire. There was even a coffee pot with powdered creamer (I passed on the coffee so cannot vouch for the quality). Everything I needed.

I needed an emission inspection and they got me in right away and sent me a text report with pictures from the inspection. The manager was very helpful and friendly, the store was clean and there weren’t any attempts at “upselling” which was appreciated.

Phil was awesome he took care of my gmas car and found 3 things in one of the tires and there was a nail and 2 screws and one nail and he said we had no leaks im very grateful for Phil and his team at car x without him we would have had to buy a new tire thankyou Phil 😀👍😊

I brought in audi a3 that was lowered 1.5 inches for safety and emissions they couldn't proceed to rack the vehicle due the rack being too tall. By the tech not manager I told them to use a jack to jack up the sub Frame in the rear to allow arms to slide under car to rack the vehicle. He rushed out and slammed the door going back to the shop side. Manager from kingshighway (temping for crestwood location) finally came to me said that they do not have a JACK in a mechanic shop. And proceed to tell me that they couldn't do it and where not willing to obtain a jack to jack vehicle up. This isn't also including waiting an hour. I did not have an appointment. They where willing to get in asap.

I was 12 hours away from home and needed to replace my brake light to safely drive home on a Saturday at 3:00 PM. Luckily for me I came across Phil at Car X. He couldn’t have been any nicer and I am so thankful for his generosity! He had me back on the road in no time!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I took my car in for a simple oil change & emissions test & tire check....left with 4 new tires, NO EMISSIONS TEST, and every single light lit up on my dashboard (check engine light, brake system failure, emissions failure). DO NOT GO TO THE CRESTWOOD, MO LOCATION! Management will lie to you...clear the error codes....and set you on your way. And when the codes pop back up...they will just clear them again.

Best experience in St. Louis, they recommended brakes, rather than letting me take their word for it, the manager Phil and the technician Jr. walked me to my car and educated me on why I needed brakes. And what all the parts do. Because of this, I will never go anywhere else! Thank you Phil and Jr.

Had an air leak in my tire so I stopped in to get it checked out. Phil was able to pull my car into the shop immediately and found a nail. Fixed it fast while I waited. Affordable and friendly service.

Had trouble coming back from vacation, got me in quick and diagnosed the problem, gave me a couple of solutions, and didn’t charge me anything. Without going into too much, I was taking a risk on the battery I had to make it back home, and they said to pick up another battery and in case something happens I could change it out. I took the risk, and they even let me have a 10mm socket wrench just in case, free. All that to say, they took care of me and my family, and if I’m ever in the area, I’m gonna try and get that 10mm back to them.

I go to the Carx store in Crestwood MO. Been going there for 11 years and for the most part have had great service. Phillip helped me get my car road ready for our SIL to take a 1200 mile trip to Laredo TX to begin his baseball season in the Mexican league. Rob was first drafted in 2009 by the Cardinals as a catcher but after 4 years in the minors the Cards wanted to transition him into a relief pitcher so in 2018 after being with 5 different teams, Rob made his ML debut with the Padres. Since 2021 Rob has been working to once again make the majors but now as a starting pitcher. So to Phillip, who gave me such great customer service, and to the technician/mechanic who made sure my car was safe and reliable, thx for helping Rob once again make the majors!
