It took 4 days and half a dozen extra phone calls for them to tell me that they're unable to change my tire. I put on the donut tire by myself, but the repair shop wasn't able to put a new tire on its place?? Go anywhere else and leave yourself the trouble from dealing with incompetence, this place is an absolute joke

I was in on 10/8/24 to have my battery checked, terminals cleaned, and engine air filter checked. The labor for the battery check and terminal cleaning was $138.97!! If I was told in advance it was going to be this much, I would have left. There is still corrosion on the terminals, see photo. My air filter was clean. I was advised I needed an oil change, which I approved, but was not informed it included a tire rotation. I did NOT need this done. ( nothing is free) This was my first experience with this shop and was hoping I found a place for future services. Definitely not. I asked for an adjustment on the battery check and terminal cleaning of $138.97, but received no reply. ( I did send them a photo) My advice: Make sure you get pricing in advance!! UPDATE: 12/6/24 The shop reached out to me to correct my battery cleaning, adjust the labor price, and apologize. My battery terminals are now clean and protected and all parties are satisfied. I will return there for service. Unable to change star rating.

Matt and his team were helpful in resolving an issue with our van that 3 other locations were not able to! They were quick, professional, and great in communication on what was happening. Highly recommend them for any vehicle care!

I brought my vehicle in to have a pre-purchase/right after purchase inspection. They talked me into their highest tier version for over $300. I week later my passenger tried their seat heater and only the back worked, not the seat part. Called them back the next day and asked how this got missed. They offered to get it back in, in a couple of days, and check it out. I thought this was going to be something they were just going to check the plug and a quick diagnostic. I also thought this was going to be free as they missed this the first time when they assured they check and catch everything inoperable. Three and a half hours later it is ready to be picked up. Along with a $163 bill. I instantly spoke up and said this isn't right. I was under the understanding this was going to be something they were just going to look at quick. Not do two hours of diagnostics on something that is going to be fixed next month by the dealership I purchased it from. I had to argue just to get the bill cut in half. This is a shame, as they are close to my house and I was looking for a new mechanic shop I could trust. MAKE SURE YOU GET QUOTED WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THE COST FIRST! Don't assume when they say they will make something right, it will be covered under the last cost.

My motor was smoking. I wasn't sure what the problem I just knew is wasn't good. I called Centerway and I talked with Joe. They welcomed this problem. They spent a lot of time just to figure out the cause. They all came together like a team of surgeons getting ready to do heart repair. I met with many of them. They are very knowledgable about what needs to happen to fix a car right so it can get back on the road. Very eager to bring optimum results for whatever the trouble may be. Very calm and honest in explaining what needed to be done and the cost of repairs and the time it would take. I needed this. I needed to know. I trusted them and they did a fine job. They did things to make it the best! It is hard to find this character today. I found it! At Centerway Automotive. Thank you all.

They are caring pros that look out for the best interest of the car owner. I was there a few weeks ago and over heard them tell somebody not to put anymore money into their vehicle. They easily could've scammed them but they didn't. They did what's best and were honest. Good people.

Broke my new lug stem due to poor knowledge of how to take a lug nut off and then tried to accuse me of setting him up refused further service after they already tore my wheels off and then proceeded to put a 16in rim on the rear driver side and a 17in rim on the passenger side witch was not how it arrived at the shop and told me It was safe to leave when he knew that could do damage to my truck terrible boss even staff tried to calm the owner as he shooed them away terrible owner

Centerway Auto came to my rescue when my son’s car needed to be fixed. They didn’t try to tell me that I needed to fix anything except what the issue was so when I needed work on my car, they were my first call! I called Monday morning and got an appointment that Thursday. Within an hour, they called back to say they could fit it in that afternoon knowing my schedule and Monday was better! I highly recommend them for all of your auto care needs!

We take my car here everytime there's a problem and it's always fixed in a timely manner. They also fix up more serious cases and sell used cars when they have them available (or at least that's where i got my car from)

My car isn’t done yet, however the customer service I’ve received so far is phenomenal!!! Joyce is amazing and they offer you a rental if it’s taking longer than expected, they give you rides home and pick you up to get your car!!! I might be without my car over the weekend- Joyce offered to help me with any needs I may have while being without my car.I will most definitely keep my business here!! The guys are really respectful as well!!! They definitely haven’t made me feel belittled when it comes to car information!!! Thanks guys for going above and behind while trying to get my car back to me!! I am truly glad I chose this place for my cars needs!!

These people and the work they do are perfect examples of the kind of humans and services we need more of in this world! I'm like a traveling nurse, and last Friday I was on the 2nd half of my 2 day roadtrip back to the Pittsburgh, PA area from Fargo, ND when my cruise control quit on me and my brake lights wouldn't quit...at all. It was windy as hell on the highways, and with my huge cargo bag on the roof, my ankle was already killing me without my cruise control; and stopping was out of the question without killing my battery. I still had 9 hours to go. I'm not lucky enough to have AAA right now, so after some self-diagnosing, I started calling all over the place around 7am. Remember, I'm trying to get home to my bed after 6mos away, and I've got 3 cats in the Jeep with me. So time is of the essence, patience is thin, and due to my location where I know absolutely NO ONE, I'm completely at the mercy of strangers on the road who know I'm desperate to get home. I'd call 5-10 shops at a rest stop, get told that no one had time to see me, hit the road again and hope for the best a few towns away. Finally, someone who also couldn't help me told me to call Centerway in Janesville. The LOVELY lady at the desk put Matt on the phone, and after just a few minutes of listening to me and thinking about it, he told me to come on over. I was only about 15 minutes away at that point. When I got there, my brake light switch was already on order, so they waited patiently while I extracted all 3 cats in their carriers out of my messy roadtrip Jeep and Nate took it right into the garage. What really showed to me the caliber of human these people are was that they put their sweet, but gigantic, two office dogs into a closed room and even seemed to be trying to keep their voices down so as not to freak out my cats! They let me with my 3 cat carriers take up their waiting room floor while they interrupted their Friday schedule to help me get back home asap. Just amazing service and humanity from beginning to end. I wish I'd have paid more attention to timing...but I believe that within the span of 2 hours and with zero notice, they evaluated my problem, ordered my part and had it delivered, and repaired my jeep while so kindly accomodating us during our wait. Their pricing was incredibly fair as well! Without these wonderful humans, I very well might have had to spend money I didn't really have to stay in a hotel for the weekend, which would've meant, on top of the main repair, replacing my brand new battery after the non-stop brake lights drained it. These are honest, kind, and caring people who will take great care of you and your vehicle! They did it for me despite the fact that I'll probably never be in Janesvile WI to use their services again! Thank you again, to everyone at Centerway, for saving me tons of money and frustration that day! I sincerely hope that you're getting back tenfold the kindness that you showed me. You deserve all the best!
