Hard to find, but awesome place run by a single mechanic, able to work on a variety of issues. Discuss your issue with the mechanic first to see if he can work on it, he's also willing to help you figure out a good solution depending on what he can do, or direct you to other quality mechanics or tradesman who are able to help you. Great resource, great place, great service.

We have had Paul do some work and on our car a few times in the past few years. Never been disappointed. Always happy to answer any questions so that I fully understand what is wrong at the time and how I can prevent similar problems. I am grateful to have auto checkpoint in my address book for when I need an honest opinion regarding any type of car repair I definitely recommend auto checkpoint to anyone in need of car services

I had the pleasure of meeting Paul today at Auto CheckPoint. I first called because my check engine light activated due to a dead battery that was jumped. I first called and expected to book an appointment but instead Paul let me know I can come in right away to diagnosis the issues. Once I got there, Paul was so personable and helpful. He cleared the engine light issue and even added air to my tires all complimentary. I was so impressed by the positive experience that I told him he just earned a new customer as I will now be returning to Auto CheckPoint for all my auto maintenance needs. Thanks again Paul!

So, "if a mechanic takes his car to a mechanic, then you have most likely chosen the correct mechanic", I think Socrates said that. I just finished putting a lift on my Subaru Forester and needed a mechanic that could perform a "not your average 4 wheel alignment". I talked to Paul and he checked all the right boxes. I brought her in and she was not kind to him, he had to get out the big guns and really break a sweat, but he got it done on time and on budget. How does it drive now? Straight as an arrow and smooth as silk! He's the real deal!

Auto Checkpoint is fantastic! I've brought my car here a few times, and have been immensely satisfied with the experience each time. Paul (the head mechanic here) goes above and beyond to make sure you understand everything going on with your vehicle. I've been to a number of other mechanics in the Sacramento area, but none of them come close to Auto Checkpoint in terms of customer service. Hoping to continue bringing my cars here for years to come!

I have had a multitude of services completed at this shop with nothing but ease and complete satisfaction. Everything from an oil change, alignment, headlights replaced and more and there seems to be nothing Paul can’t do. His prices are honest and fair, work is done in a very timely manner and my car always drives out looking and feeling better then it was going in. If your looking for a talented, honest mechanic, look no further - Paul is the man!! Had another service at auto checkpoint - amazing!! Went in for a bumper to bumper check up and repair. My car has never driven better. Got tires, alignment, fluids and belts (and more) done all for a very reasonable price. Friendly, fast and professional. Paul knows cars, and really knows how to fix them!

I pulled into my parking space at work this morning, across the parking lot from Auto Check Point. Paul came over to let me know that I had brake lights out. He took my car and replaced them, at no charge to me. What a great guy providing a great service. Nice to know there are still good people like him around. What a great business neighbor too. Friendly services, amazing prices and Paul the owner takes his time to explain to you what's wrong with your car and what's needed so you do not incur unnecessary costs. I went to Honda and they were going to charge me almost 700 for a service that paul did for 150-200. I would absolutely recommend. Support small private owned businesses and Paul is the absolute best. Amazing work ethics. Wouldnt trust anyone else to take care of my baby.

I was referred to Paul by family and he's awesome! He was quick and very thorough. I was able to observe as he checked my car and he was able to tell me I needed a wheel bearing, brakes and a catalytic converter. He even went online to see where the parts were for the cheapest price. He's intensely fast and efficient, patient, detail oriented, friendly and professional. He even showed me what parts on my car looked bad and would need replaced in the future. I will be trusting him with my car in the future again. P. S. Hes got an English accent 😉

Paul is the only mechanic I feel comfortable taking my car to. He's been honest and fair with me since day 1. I've been taking my cars to him for 2 years now and have never had anything to complain about. I highly recommend.
