Made an appointment for an oil change online on Saturday. Received a confirmation (email and text), reminders (1 email and two texts). Got a call on Monday morning, an hour before the appointment time informing me they were overbooked and I must re-schedule. No thanks, I'll go to Jiffy Lube.

“Do unto others as you would have them do to you”. I’m sure everyone would say out loud that they subscribe to this, if asked. However, when life gets busy and “the rubber meets the road”, it’s more challenging to put this into practice. Christian Brothers Automotive has held true to their moto. After having car issues with 3 vehicles in mine and my family’s households, we had the opposite of “do to others as you would have them do to you” with dealerships. In choosing these gentlemen at Christian Brothers, after being put on a waitlist for over a month at the dealership, we were extremely pleasantly surprised with their honest work and have decided they will be our go to for future vehicle services. A Call to Christian Brothers: Fix Your Policy, Fairness First Christian Brothers, I’m calling you out on a practice that isn’t just frustrating—it’s flat-out wrong. Refusing to service my car simply because I sourced my own part at a lower price than the one you were offering is not only bad business, it’s an unfair way to treat your customers. Let’s start with the basics. We all know car repairs can be expensive, and that’s why many of us do the responsible thing: we shop around for parts, compare prices, and try to get the best deal possible. It’s not about cutting corners—it’s about being financially prudent. So when I found the same part you were offering for a fraction of the price elsewhere, I thought I was doing my homework and saving money. But instead of helping me with the repair, you rejected my business entirely, just because I didn’t want to pay your inflated price for the part. Here’s where you’ve gone wrong: there’s absolutely no reason to refuse service to a customer who’s simply trying to save a few bucks. Mechanics aren’t just in the parts business; you’re in the service business. Your job is to repair cars, not force customers into overpaying for parts. Have been taking my cars there for seven years, mostly for oil change. Last October their "free check" told me my battery was failing and needed replaced. I got that battery from AAA about a year ago. They came out to check it and it was fine. Last week I took my mini van there for an oil leak. They gave me a quote to fix it, then when I called to check on status they told me there was another leak and the cost was an additional $1,000. I asked if it was critical and they said no. The leak is now worse than it was before I took it there. Very disappointing!!!

I worked with Greg Saenz as my service advisor. Very pleasant experience as he kept me up to date on vehicle repair status. I had basically a new suspension put into my 2005 4Runner. The price was fair and the vehicle has stayed good. Greg explained to me in detail what was done. I appreciate the time he spent with me. The 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty, which ever is longer, is a game changer in my eyes and why I will be back for future repair work. Highly recommended. I just had CBA install a 2 inch lift on my 2005 4runner and it came out great. First of all, the vehicle was actually ready before I expected it. Second, you get a 36 month warranty on the work. Crazy good.

It is unfortunate that I ever trusted this place, ever! I have been taking my car here for years now. Spending thousands of dollars to make sure my car is maintained and well taken care of. Only to find out 4 months after taking it in for a routine diagnostics, that my transmission needs to be replaced (quoting me OVER $7,000!). After asking them why my transmission was never looked at the last 3 yrs I have been taking my car here. The guy who answered the phone got pretty defensive. All they could tell me was... there was never a light on indicating the transmission needed to be looked at? Isn't that what the diagnostic testing is for?????? To prevent any lights from coming on???? Once, I got back to their shop to pick my car up. They just proved to me more that they messed up! The guy with whom I was speaking to, literally said the CBT transmission Nissan uses is very well known for the transmissions to go out? So if they knew that Nissan was notorious for this? They should have definitely been checking my transmission when I brought it in for MANY diagnostic testing. I feel very taken advantage of. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone ever again and I will NEVER go back there. They are out for money. Nothing Christian about this place. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Excellent service the repair was not what we thought and they found that by their diagnostic team. They kept us informed by text and phone. It was less money than we had anticipated. They were courteous and very helpful also having the shuttle to return us home and then back again to pick up our car was a relief as we only have that vehicle definitely will use again definitely recommend thank you Christian Brothers we appreciate your service ...1/16/24 I can't seem to write a new review so I will edit this review from 4 months ago we once again had to use Christian Brothers as our engine light came on they got us in quickly found the problem and had the car back to us the day before they promised UPDATE. 10/25. Had to have catalytic converter replacement Christian Brothers did it expertly and on time .As always they kept us updated by phone and text. It is a great help that they give us a ride as we only have one car. I highly recommend this shop the customer service is outstanding..12/8 my older Element needed a new power steering pump. Once again Christian Brothers did the job. Easy to communicate with the staff and the rides to and from are wonderful . Thank you again for your service.01/09/25. We are continuing to keep our 22 year old Element going strong. Christian brothers is doing that for us, Just had engine and transmission mounts oil pan gasket front and more replaced .These folks are so courteous, patient and honest. They transport us back and forth if needed. .I am so thankful for them.

This has been my go-to auto shop for years. They are transparent with the way they do repairs, ensure some of them with warranties, and even deduct costs when repairs are simpler than originally quoted. They'll keep me as a customer as long as they keep nailing the repairs on my vehicles. I recommend them to all my friends in Albuquerque. The work they've performed over the years on several of my vehicles have not been small simple things. These guys are very professional, efficient, and honest.

I went in for a 65,000 mile oil change and tire rotation. Included was a complimentary general inspection. The car was ready within an hour, coupons received in the mail were used to reduce the overall cost and then the tech reviewed my inspection. Using a computer screen they showed me pictures of numerous systems that were inspected- brake linings, battery terminals, shocks, struts, air filter - in all about a dozen pics of the car - all inspected and none requiring service or replacement ! I have never had a dealer or independent shop do that. That and friendly faces as well. This is an excellent shop and I recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Christian Brothers were super helpful and quick to get me in on short notice. I moved here from KC and my friend recommended them. They were able to update me and my dad who lives out of state on the status of my car. They’re straight forward and have reasonable prices. I recently went to Christian Bros on Paseo because I wanted to get a quick transmission drain and fill. I usually do at home but I have several inches of snow at my home in the east mountains and I’ve been busy so figured I would try them after I was referred. I took it in, dropped off, and after a couple hours was told over phone that they don’t feel comfortable servicing my vehicle because they found metal flakes in the fluid. I was confused because I don’t know how, and even if there was I understand the risks, I just really need my fluid changed. They wouldn’t offer me or suggest next steps, just that they needed me to pick my vehicle up by end of day. I ended up getting to it today myself, and found no sign of any metal, debris, or contaminants, and also no sign that it was even attempted. I understand that my closed transmission system in my ford might be different, or if they were busy and decided I wasn’t worth it, but I’m frustrated that an auto repair place would lie considering they pride themselves for being trustworthy. 2 stars for customer service and offering transportation, but as any auto repair place, you are at your own risk.

Took in my F-250 to replace the crankcase ventilation filter. The work was done on time at a fair price. I was even charged less than the quoted price due to material cots. How often does this happen. Very happy with the services I received , and they did a great job.They have the cleanest waiting room and the work shop. Went in for front end alignment, but safety inspection revealed steering problem that prevented the alignment. We agreed to replace the control arms and that plus the alignment was completed on the same day. We’ll done as usual

Worse place of business ever! I took my vehicle to them, got it back within 30 miles the check engine light came on, now it's a whole other issue that the technician failed to find with the first time. He guessed on the repairs. The owner, was very rude and didn't think his technician was not at fault and refuses to give me my money back for a mistake they made. Do not take your vehicle here. It's not worth the stress or money. I am out 1700 and my vehicle is not driveable.

For the past two years, I've been paying for the correction of errors in work done by Christian Brother's. I am removing my positive rating. They replaced my brakes and caused me to have to have my truck towed to them for the release of the parking brake. They didn't reimburse the tow. The parking brake hasn't worked well since then, and a competent repair just discovered that parts were put on backward. This is just one of many issues that have had to be corrected. I regret selecting them for a major restoration. Another problem was them replacing my starter and then me having intermittent trouble with it continuously. I was stranded because of the issue. CB told me that i would have to leave the truck with them until the issue happened in front of them for them to replace the starter. Instead, i just paid a GREAT mechanic to replace the starter, and the engine always turns over. CB cost more, and their mechanics make too many mistakes that CB doesn't own up to. Bad choice for car repair.
