I want to thank Christian Brother auto for their professionalism. I had my Radiator changed at Premier1 Auto instead of Christian Brothers Auto because Premier1 quoted me $200 less. However, when I received my vehicle back it was leaking radiator fluid excessively. Premier 1 claimed it was a water pump leak and tried to lie. I headed over to Christian Bros. to get a second opinion and they verified that the hose/clamp was loose, which was an easy fix. I thank them for their honesty and professionalism and will come here for all my vehicle needs from on.

This shop was helpful and honest for my brake and mount issues. They got my car in within 10 minutes with no appointment and it was done the next day. They sent a detailed report with pictures and descriptions of services they were suggesting with an easy option to approve or deny each service. The employees were polite and patient.

My Nightmare began 9/20/24 the day I dropped my vehicle at Christian Brothers shop at 15301 San Pedro San Antonio Tx. My SUV is a 2014 GMC Acadia with 59,000 which I bought new. SUV has been garaged and maintained properly. My reason for stopping was a brake squeak inside the cabin which has been there for years. I thought it strange at the time when they asked me to complete the online survey before I picked up my SUV. They proceeded to tell me the owner of this location wanted a 3rd location and needed 5 star reviews in order to be granted another. While there I decided to have other routine items completed such as drive belt replaced, cooling system fluid replaced and power steering fluid replaced just so the vehicle was current on maintenance. They determined my squeak was air leaking from my master brake cylinder so I said great replace it. A few days later I was notified my vehicle was ready. I paid the $2, 075.45 invoice and attempted to drive away only to pull out into traffic with almost no brakes. The pedal went to the floor. luckily I was only a block away. I thought a test drive after a repair was SOP? Shop manager said he either had a faulty cylinder or it was the wrong one. Said the one he wanted was going to take a few days to arrive. I had no problem waiting on the correct booster so they kept my SUV for another week. 2nd booster was installed. I drove my car 5 miles home only to have my brakes seize completely. Shop had to tow my car back to the shop. A few days later "3rd booster installed "I’m told to pick up my vehicle and my brake problem had been resolved. The shop manager proceeded to tell me the correct booster cost them an extra $800. but they would wave the extra cost. Lesson here is the shop uses cheapest replacement parts not best parts. I said thanks and drove home only to find the retracting plate behind my steering wheel had been cut on the top and the bottom. I returned to the shop and they tried to glue it back together. After two days they called and said my SUV was ready. Unfortunately the problem was not fixed. After 6 weeks of trying to get my vehicle back and repaired I contacted “Roff” shop owner of this location and one other location. He proceeded to tell me my car was 10 years old and the plate was probably brittle or maybe it was broken before I brought it in and I had not noticed. I was shocked that Christian Brothers would not accept responsibility even though they did try to glue it back together. Coincidently the top and bottom would break at the same time. I have no doubt in the search for the squeak in the cabin of my SUV they cut the openings to oil or grease the brake pedal. It’s hard to miss an 8x4 gap in the plate behind your steering column. Roff said he would talk to the shop manager and get back to me. Of course he did not return my call but his shop manager did. I have been prompted 4 times to post an online review of their work however I was hoping they would do the right thing and repair or compensate for the damage done. My attempts to reach anyone in Christian Brothers leadership has also been unsuccessful.

I went and took my car in to get check for a power steering leak. Had a 9am appointment. Told me it would take a few hrs. They could drop me off. No problem. Then I asked about the diagnostic of $89 would that go towards the total cost of the repair. They said no. Everywhere I've been they put the diagnostic cost with the total cost of the repair, not separate. So I changed my mind I go back to my car(now mind this whole process was about 15 mins) to leave and my car smelled strongly of cigarette smoke! Now understand, I don't smoke. I got my kids dolls and other toys in car, car seats in the vehicle. I hate the smell of cigarettes! It makes me gag! That was very disrespectful. He didn't know I was taking the car right back. So I guess he thought the smell would be gone when I got the car back after repairs. Smh

This Business is an asset to the Community. They keep my vehicles in top condition so I, at 79 years can be safe. Many accolades for their professionalism, caring, reasonable prices, Christian Morals & Values. I will NOT go to any other automotive shop. This is the PLACE to go.

This is my second time taking my car to CBA (Christian Brothers automotive)after I found out Herman was working there. I have known him since 2008, when he worked at car pro with Roy. He is very knowledgeable about cars, more importantly, a genuine, helpful and honest person. The staff are friendly. Your car is taken care of by good mechanics. Any issues with your car. I recommend CBA@san pedro and Look for Herman.

As a single woman I hate car repairs! However, All their employees were very nice and helpful. They gave me a quote, but I could not do it at the time. When I called back and told them i needed to go ahead and have the work done, they took my car in and fixed it right away. I rate them 100+!

My first visit here. And, based on this experience, this shop is now my go to place for most auto needs down to a basic oil change! It is a full service shop. They told me to bring my car in the same or next day. The folks working up front were congenial, well informed, and prompt, spending considerable time explaining my options for repair, and associated costs. Eric is knowledgeable and straightforward, and he’s honest! His quoted cost for repairs is what I paid. And, the work was done within several days. Zach, who works up front, was also very helpful! The waiting area is clean and comfortable, And, they provide a courtesy ride home. Their location is easy to find and to get out of. This experience greatly surpasses my previous experiences at the dealership and one other auto shop, and the prices were much better!! Since my vehicle is getting older, finding CBA at Hill Country Village equates to finding a “gem in the rough.”

To start. Very nice respectful staff. Took my car in for issues. Quoted me before doing anything. Completed work in a timely fashion. But after taking it home found our things weren't completely fixed. Took it back in. They fixed all things without charge and fixed other issues. Running great now. Will definitely take it back.

What an extraordinary shop! The guys were down to earth and friendly. The prices were just right as compared to other expensive mechanics. And their communication via text was actually really great- neat system they used. I will never go back to any other shop in San Antonio!
