I took my car in to have a left rear clicking noise checked out. I was told that they I would need to have a mechanic ride with me so that they could hear the noise. However, they would be closing soon and could not get to it until the next day. I asked if I could have someone ride with me that evening and I could bring the car back first thing the next morning for repairs, to which they agreed. The mechanic that rode with me not only clearly heard the sound but narrowed it down to what it could be. His exact words were “it shouldn’t be that big of a deal”. I dropped my car off the following morning, assuming that the repairs would take place that day. When “I” called to get the status of my car I was told that 3 mechanics had driven my car, including the one mechanic that “clearly” heard the sound the day before, and none of them heard any sound. I explained to the guy that couldn’t be possible as the sound was there when I dropped my car off that morning and when the mechanic rode with me the day before. Although they were unable to detect where the noise was coming from, they did manage to determine that my turbocharger was leaking and needed to be completely replaced with an estimated cost of over $4000.00. When I picked my car up the noise started as soon as I drove off. The next day I took my car into a certified European car repair dealer. To my surprise, the work that needed to be done to my Turbocharge was $576.00 and the clicking sound was coming from my convertible hard top an easy fix! There’s an old saying that goes “everybody that’s talking about Heaven ain’t going”. In other words, don’t let the “Christian Brothers” name fool you.

I giving 3 stars because the first time I called regarding my car , the guy who helped me did such an amazing job giving me all the information I needed this was at the north central expressway location. Here’s where the 3 stars come in, the second time I called I was quoted $800 to replace my water pump versus to change a radiator they would charge me 787.00. The second guy wasn’t helpful at all , he barely got my car information before giving me a quote. He he third time I called was at a different location that’s still pretty close by she wasn’t helpful as much either & told me she had to send off my information & someone would get back to me in a few days.

It just wasn’t explained to me that the whole car was going to be examined because I’d only ask for several items to be looked at and that took longer. Also, I didn’t know the upfront charge was not refundable if they didn’t do any work on the car as other places, they don’t charge you $350 just to look at it. !

I was far from home when my tire sensor showed on my dashboard! I am disabled and while I could possibly stop and air my tires at a self serve gas station, I do not even own a tire gauge so I would be guessing on how much air to put in my two tires that showed low. I am a major worrier and tend to freak out over little things I have no control over. I have seen Christian Brothers Auto Repair (on the corner of N. Central Expressway and Forest Lane) before on my way to my doctor. I pulled in and parked and went in to the office and explained my situation. I told them that I would gladly pay to have the air checked in all my tires and to add air. I explained that I have never been a customer of Christian Brothers before because there is not one conveniently located near my home. I also explained that I had to be at my Doctor’s appointment in 29 minutes and would that be a problem. The very personable young man (I wish I remembered his name) at the counter informed me that they would not charge me for checking the pressure in all four tires and adding air where needed. Come to find out all four tires needed air! They asked me to pull my car up parallel to Bay 4 and just stay in the vehicle. Immediately after I pulled my car up, a very friendly, nice and competent mechanic named Teresa came out right away and asked what the problem was. I explained I has two low tire sensors showing on my dashboard. She checked the sticker on the inside of my driver’s side door to see the exact amount of pounds of air I needed for each tire. In no time at all Teresa said I was good and ready to get back on the road. Teresa also told me to go to my regular mechanic to have them check for nails or other sharp objects. I wish I had the time that day to let them do it! They probably wouldn’t have charged me for that service either! I took out some cash to tip her for her fast service and she informed me it was not required or necessary. I informed her it necessary for me when I receive excellent service which I did! I’m thinking next time I need an oil change I will make an appointment on the same day I have to see my Doctor ( that is just happens to be right down the street from my doctor) because I was very impressed with their employees, their friendliness (especially since I wasn’t getting a service that did not have to be paid for) and their outstanding competence! A wonderful positive experience all the way around! I will definitely recommend them to other friends and family.

Made an appointment and they always get my car back right away. Always nice and very helpful. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of or being upsold on things I don’t actually need for my vehicle.

Mr Hugo my mechanic is great. He fixed my Chevy car., He drove with me before he fix my car to see and listen my car issues, then Hugo rode with me after my car was fixed for test run. The price is reasonable. Mr Brandon the frondesk is Great for explaining to me the situation of my car. Christian is great for picking me up. You are great and honest people. I highly recommend you to friends around. God bless your commitment to help your customer.

This Christian Brothers location has superior customer service! The best of any business I've encountered in a very long time! My 2014 SUV needed a HID headlight bulb change and they were able to service it quickly, efficiently and at a much lower price than a competitor charged to change the other headlight bulb about a year ago. Their waiting room was extremely comfortable and I appreciated the Christian music they had playing. I will definitely be using this location for any future mechanic needs.

My experience here was great. I got in right at open and was immediately taken care of . They took just under 3hrs for the repair and paid for my transportation both ways to get back and forth to the shop. Service was great as well.

Not only did the team have to keep my car for extra days because they broke a different piece of my car during the repair and had to replace it, the state they returned my car to me in was so poor. I take pride in trying to keep my cream-colored interior and leather clean and I’ve barely had this car for a year, so for it to come back to me covered in black handprints, smudges, stains and dirt was so incredibly sad. They also did not reassemble pieces of my dashboard correctly and now the windshield runner on the drivers side gapes. One of the floor mats in the back seat was found wedged under the seat and folded in half while one of them in the front had something spilled on it. For the amount of money charged for this repair, I’d at least expect my car to be returned in the state I brought it i, if not at least clean up after the repairs were made.

Please do yourself a favor and read the 1 stars review here. All of them have one thing in common: lack of attention to detail/incompetence and overcharging customers. I came here because the majority of their reviews were positive and had a pretty negative experience. 1. Asked them to change my oil and use full synthetic. Came next day to pickup my car and noticed that they used a blend (sticker said it). They also told me it was “fine” and wouldn’t damage the vehicle. I asked them to re-do it and they did. 2. Asked them to diagnose my car for a noise that it was doing, they charged me $110 to check the breaks and suspension (a bit expensive in my head but I agreed to it) 3. They sent me the estimates for the repairs they recommended. $1600 to replace rear brake drums/shoes and shocks. Yep you read that right. I called PepBoys (also well known for overcharging customers) to see how much they would charge me and they quoted me $1000 for labors and parts. Also, before they use the “We only use the best parts and offer warranty…” card, I searched online all parts and the best brands were way below the price quoted by “Christian” Brothers. 4. I ended up taking my car to a mechanic that a family member recommended. He installed the shocks and told me that the brakes( shoes and drums) could last me 1-2yrs more depending on use and that there was no need to change them. I went back to the store and returned the parts. The mechanic, whom also works in a shop told me that it is a very common practice in a lot of car shops here in DFW. They say you need to change your brakes because no one wants to "risk it" .. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
