Misdiagnosed vehicle. Mechanic needs to be retrained. Management needs to do better. Easy to diagnose. Had pictures of the leak where it was coming from. Don't think I personally would trust them anymore. Not try pay for something that isn't leaking.

From Loyal Customer to Lost Trust: Why I’m Done with CBA I was previously committed to being a lifelong Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA) loyalist. My experience at the Scottsdale location was outstanding—accommodating, honest, and thorough. Their inspection felt trustworthy and reliable, leading me to leave a 5-star review. Unfortunately, my experience at the Southwest Fort Worth location was completely different. I came in for a standard oil change, requested a tire rotation, and asked for an inspection. They mentioned the inspection was free, which sounded great. I left the shop with a $140 bill, including a $35 charge for the tire rotation—fine, whatever. However, as soon as I started my car, I noticed an issue starting it that had never occurred before. My car, a 6-year-old Lexus with 67k miles, has always been reliable. I contacted CBA about the issue, and they suggested I bring the car back if it persisted. A few days later, my car wouldn’t start at all. Frustrated, I called CBA, and they arranged for the car to be towed back to their location. They inspected the car and quoted me roughly $2,000 for repairs, including $1,117 for an alternator part alone. Shocked, I researched the part and found it for about $600 online. The Lexus dealership nearby also quoted me closer to $600. I called CBA back to ask about the markup, and they admitted they charge more to “make money on parts.” I obtained quotes from two other local repair shops, which confirmed the $600 range. When I shared this information with CBA, they lowered their price to $800—still more expensive than all other options. They justified it by saying they offer a warranty, but all the other quotes included the same warranty. When I pointed this out, they brought up the tow cost, which I thought was free. They didn’t have a clear answer. When I went to pick up my car, they tried to charge me a $92 inspection fee, which was never disclosed to me. After speaking with the manager, Angela, and requesting to review the recorded call where I allegedly approved the fee, she handed me my keys without charging the inspection fee. For that, I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1. They get credit for helping with the tow and transportation, but the overall experience was disappointing. The significant markup on parts felt like they were taking advantage of the situation, and their lack of transparency eroded my trust. To make matters worse, the starting issue began immediately after the oil change, which leaves me wondering if something went wrong during the service. Sadly, CBA no longer feels like the honest, small-business-oriented company I once believed in. I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere.

This is a place where you will get easily ripped off. The front desk lady seemed very deceptive in saying that my vehicle can only take a specific type of oil(never been a problem for over a decade). $267 just for the oil EXCLUDING the labor fees! UPDATE: Doug was very kind, generous, and straightforward about the miscommunication that occurred about what options were available and was willing to make amends.

This was on December 2023>>Serious, professional and courteous service.Nice waiting room. >>>>>Today Dec 27th,, Something went wrong but fortunately with the help of the manager things ended up working out. Thanks to the owner Mr. Crawford for getting involved, that tells me that there is a great commitment to the customer.

I can't help but feel like I was scammed. They repaired a part above market value then AFTER it's done, they told me it's better to replace said part. Why didn't they say that from the beginning?? I lost 2 days of work because they took so long on what was supposed to be a 4 hour job. Such a shame after all of the past positive experiences I've had before. I may not be coming back. I'll also edit this review again if I start having car issues soon, it will be obvious EXACTLY why. Guess it's just a hit or miss depending on what tech you get. Btw, I’m also speaking for Morris C, that’s my family member’s account. We don’t put our real names here because we don’t want people misusing our information. Actually have found a much better mechanic than y’all.

Chris was the one that helped me, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!! Anyone could have repaired my car, but the customer service at this Christian Brothers is what made the major difference. The comminication was transparent, the prices were competitive, they had a free shuttle that took me home and picked me up from work, they work quickly on your car, they send video proof of the issues and its not just you having to take their word, and I just felt like they sincerely tried to do whats best for me. They offered additional service options due to their inspection, but there was no pressure to get them. They did not make me feel my car would break down if i didn't get them, and I loved that. The overall quality was PHENOMENAL, and it was such a refreshing experience!!!!

Really bad service l take my truck to fix a brakes line and ended up with a lights on the dash that wasn’t there wen I bought it in, the technician comments was we can check the lights but you have to pay for that diagnosis again, l can believe they robbed me like that….

Here’s my honest review of CBA: 1. Labor Price – Seems fair. 2. Parts Price – Outrageous. They marked up basic automotive parts by 400%, which feels like a total rip-off. I get that they need to make a profit, and marking up parts is part of that, but a 400% markup is excessive. 3. Knowledge Level – Low. - I spent $900 based on their advice, but the issue wasn’t fixed. Turns out, my original $120 diagnosis was right all along. - I dropped the car off with no check engine light, but when I picked it up, the light was on. - I requested a tune-up, and they only replaced the spark plugs without recommending the ignition coils, which led to misfires. After returning the car, they suggested replacing the ignition coils. - I also asked them to check the suspension due to excessive bouncing in the rear at speed—they recommended front struts but assured me the rear struts were fine. Just four days later, I brought the car back due to a rubbing noise, and now they recommend replacing the rear struts. 4. Confidence in the Shop – Very low. Because of all this, I can’t, in good conscience, recommend Christian Brothers Automotive to anyone, given their inability to correctly diagnose problems and excessive pricing.

I brought my car here to get a few things tuned up and replaced but, I just wanted to say how great the customer service has been every time I have come here. Bob and Chase have outstanding customer service. Bob really made things happen and I am so thankful for his customer service and care! It feels good to know I can trust people to take care of me and my vehicle.

I have been a customer of Christian Brothers for more than 15 years. My wife and I bring our automobiles to Christian Brothers every year for them to conduct the annual inspection to get a new windshield sticker registration. The staff at Christian Brothers are, not only, very knowledgeable, they are also, are very polite and professional and, graciously, will even check the tire pressures on our cars and provide whatever amount of air is needed. We have brought our cars to Christian Brothers routinely to find the cause of observed problems and they efficiently and effectively repair anything from engine oil leaks to more technically demanding tasks to ensure that our cars are fully functional and safe. I have the utmost confidence in Christian Brothers being able to provide and accurate cost estimates for parts and labor in advance of performing any service on our automobiles from replacing windshield wipers to ensuring that there are optimal levels of brake fluid in a very timely manner. More often than not Christian Brothers has made all of the necessary repairs in advance of the original projected timeframe. Over the years, I have brought a variety of different automobiles to Christian Brothers from a Mercedes E-64 AMG to a Subaru Outback wagon, and Christian Brothers have always been successful in diagnosing problems and making repairs in a very expeditious manner. The facility is always exceptionally clean and has very comfortable seating, as well as, providing coffee, candy and reading materials. Additionally, they will provide ‘limo’ service for people that need to get back home before the work is initiated on the automobile or truck. In summary, I would not hesitate to recommend Christian Brothers to anyone seeking an excellent company providing a wide variety of automotive services. Bill Holt

I've visited this place twice for a state inspection. The first time, my car didn't pass due to a check engine light mysteriously appearing, and when they used the OBD2 scanner, no code showed up. I returned a week and a half later with the light off, but my car failed again. When I asked why, they couldn't provide a reasonable answer—no code was showing, and they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. The technicians seem inexperienced and lack knowledge. CBA took $25 and did not get the job done. I won't be returning. Please, take your car elsewhere.

So had check engine light on due to a turbo issue with kia optima. Told them this and ask how much said couldn't say until they did a diagnosis on it which turn out to be $183. I said had limited money, they said we will let us know. They cam with a $3300 to fix issue said part was $2300 which had a $1000 on top of what I found the part for. On top of that said wouldn't rebuild wastgate which is very cheap to fix I brought to another mechanic the issue is fixed for $435. On top of this, my car was dead on arrival they have done something to my car and now it is dying often. I URGE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM HERE Not good practice

Horrible experience. I actually cannot believe how incompetent and or underhanded they were. The short of it is that they mishandled our insurance claim and held our car for almost a month to let us sort it out. Then overcharged so much that we couldn’t complete all the repairs and also ended up paying them extra out of our pocket.
