Mr. Chuck arrived within 45 minutes, and we spent more time b.s.ing than he did working on my car, lol, which was a good thing because he works fast. And he fixed my problem and even went the extra mile.

Did an inspection for a car I wanted to buy. He said it was all good. I picked it up next day drive off 10 miles and it stalled on highway. I asked him If maybe saw anything unusual and if he could pass by check it out. ( I was willing to pay him again to help me). I Asked if I should tow it to seller or to his garage as I live in NYC. No response. If someone is stranded on a highway with cars flying, at least could just reply and lie and say " So sorry I am busy for rest of the day". I towed to garage and booked a night at the Hotel. The car breaking is not his fault, maybe cause there was something he could not notice during the inspection. However, being a former client, and in desperate need, could at least reply a text message the next day.

I MUST leave a review so others know about how both my back brake lights fixed by Mr. Chuck Williams, owner/operator of Chuck's Mobile Auto Repair! I woke up from a nap this evening and found him with a quick Google search. He answered my text/call right away and was at my home within 30 minutes with bulbs in hand! He was very professional and quick and went on his way within 15mins of arrival! His price was also reasonable, and I'd highly recommend him to my family and friends! Thank you, Chuck! This will not be the last time I use your services, and I appreciate you fitting me into your Saturday schedule at a moment's notice!

If you are taking your car to ANY of the major commercial shops-- you are a fool! Chuck was VERY knowledgeable as well as super efficient. He not only diagnosed my car issue (correctly) but took the time to explain and show me how to replace the part myself as it was an easy fix and he didn't want to see me overcharged for labor. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS and will be going to Chuck for ALL my future automotive needs.

Most mechanics I've come across are the worst to women because they think we're stupid LOL) Anyway, he's reasonably priced too! Charged $40 to come out and diagnose my car overheating and scan the engine light. Highly recommend his services 😊

SCAM! RUN! WARNING!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL Don’t waste your money or time! I had this man come to fix a passenger and driver window and put a door Handle on my car. HE CHARGED ME $300!!!! The driver side window STILL DOESNT WORK! And because he installed the door handle wrong….we now can’t open out driver door from the inside! He didn’t fix the driver window and he messed up my door even more putting the handle on! He also broke a piece of my inside door(photo below)HE VERY CREEPY! He even texted me and asked if my sister was single or not! These Baltimore private owners and wild! I reached out to him regarding the errors he made and I suggested that he return some funds or come and fix his errors. HE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME! WONT RETURN ANY CALLS OR TEXTS! I SHOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS ON THIS CON ARTIST! I BET IF I TOLD HIM MY SISTER WAS SINGLE HE WOULD COME OUT THE FIX HIS PROBLEMS ASAP! What an experience! I will try to get my money through small claims.

Chuck did a lot of work on my vehicles and my girlfriends car also. I have to take my vehicles to the garage because he doesn’t answer my phone calls or text messages. He repaired my 1990 Chevy Pickup and after that has completely ignored my phone calls and text messages. He’s a good mechanic and does an excellent job but doesn’t know how to communicate with people.

Prompt, courteous, good-natured, and absolutely phenomenal at what he does! I had the good pleasure of having Chuck out to our place to look at a few vehicles in varying states of repair. He was able to show up within 2 hours of first contact and diagnosed all three vehicles within 20 minutes of arrival. He was prompt, polite, good-natured, went right to work, and had all the tools needed with him. Afterwards, we even had a nice conversation. I could not be happier with the service I received and would say Chuck is easily worth every penny he charges. Some background: one of these vehicles had not run in years. I spent hours on it at several points, over the years, and Chuck had it running within minutes. I read a few of the best, a few of the worst, and sometimes a few reviews in the middle, looking for people who evaluate things the way that I do to decide who I'm going to go with. Reading the lower reviews on this business gave me a low opinion of the reviewers, before I even met this man (giving a mobile mechanic one star after coming to you and doing a good job, because he had a flat tire on the way? How much extra time would you spend taking it to a mechanic and waiting around for them to get to you?). After my personal experience with him, I give him top marks and further, he is now "our guy."

My car wasn’t starting and I wasn’t sure what the problem was (not a car guy). Mr. Williams came out right away, figured out it was a bad alternator, went to the auto store to get the parts for me since I couldn’t drive, and replaced it incredibly quickly. He also replaced my battery for me at my request. He charged me less than what he originally quoted as well. Quick, knowledgable, and honest. 100% going back to him for any future car problems!

Let me start by saying I am pretty mechanically inclined. I have several old vehicles that I keep alive. Usually I am able to fix their problems myself after a few youtube videos and consulting the service manuals. However I haven't had the time to deal with a particular van I own. It has been experiencing really odd issues over the past 2 years and after throwing money at it and not being able to figure out the problem, I decided to be lazy and call a mobile mechanic. Chuck came to diagnose a long running issue with my '96 ford e350. He went and bought the parts he thought would fix the problem himself, out of pocket. Unfortunately at the end of the day he was unable to fix the issue. That being said, he spent an entire day troubleshooting and trying literally everything possible and replacing multiple (expensive) components. After he decided he was unable to fix the issue he gave me tons of info about what the problem WASN'T and what it probably IS. At least I know where to start now. I asked him what I owed him for his time and for the parts he bought and his response was, verbatim, "Don't worry about it. I couldn't fix it so you don't owe me anything". This dude legit spent an entire Sunday trying to fix my vehicle and bought all of the parts out of pocket. He put the original parts back on before he left so he could return the stuff he bought but he still had to spend time ordering and driving around to pick up and buy the various replacement parts. Who does that for free!? At the end of the day I was bummed that he couldn't fix my vehicle. However he left me with invaluable information and a great jumping off point for what the problem actually is. He spent his time ON A WEEKEND coming out and trying everything possible to fix my issue. I can't believe he didn't want me to pay him anything for that. He even seemed hesitant when I insisted to pay him something for his time. People like this are few and far between. Seriously the most honest and patient mechanic I have ever encountered. He knew his stuff, and when it didn't work he tried everything else possible and pinpointed the likely issue (which was not fixable on his part - need to order a new ECU). All in all, Chuck is a highly recommended mechanic.

Showed up on time (despite last minute call from me - was the only local repair place that was available to help last minute). Possessed the required tools and knowledge to help but unfortunately could not complete the job due to unique circumstances with the car (newer model with built in safeguards). Friendly and professional - would not accept any payment for his time or services rendered.
