I discovered them through Repair Pal for my CarMax warranty and they have been the absolute best! They do great work and always get it done in a timely manner! I had an issue once and CarMax wouldn’t honor my battery warranty, I called Kathleen and she personally took my battery up there to CarMax and worked everything out for me. She has always been willing to answer any question I have and she’s proven that they are a shop that is willing to go above & beyond! My go to shop now!

I recommend Classic Auto. When I moved to the Richmond area 2 years ago I was having difficulty finding a reliable, professional, and consistent shop to bring my car to. The owner Kathleen has always been pleasant to work with and is always trying to take care of the customer. I called the shop one day asking for a referral and with no hesitation or anything in exchange she was able to recommend another reputable shop to help me out with a cracked rim. My experiences have been timely and they typically post coupons and cost saving opportunities if not mentioned to you in person, posted on their website. Classic Auto has become my go-to auto repair shop!

Could not be happier that we found this place! my partner found this mechanic after a different mechanic started yanking our chain with $1800 tune ups when we went for an inspection... Needless to say classic car auto gives you a thorough but fair deal. They tell you everything your car has going on and how urgent it is to fix, but doesn't give the wrong impression about expense. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Great people at this shop! Mechanics you can trust to give you honest advice on what to do for your vehicle. Kathleen is very understanding and always willing to help. Highly recommend the GDI fuel cleaning service! Didn’t even know what that service was before they explained to me how it would help and it fixed a few things I had been noticing with my car. Got a trip check done before a huge road trip and car ran great there and back.

I have been taking both my cars here for years. It's a small non-franchise shop and they remember who you are. I have had them fix things that other auto shops could not and I've had them tell me I do not need expensive services that other shops have said are "emergencies". I most recently had them check a new vehicle purchase from carmax (everything checked out great) but I feel a lot better knowing I did not buy a lemon. Thank you for being a dependable shop Kathleen , Charles and crew.

Classic Auto has worked on our trucks for the last 2-3 years after we asked them for a second opinion on a truck we had at another repair shop. We dropped of a truck that the other shop said had a blown motor and it would be over 7K to replace. Classic called us back the next day with the news, The idler pulley had seized and broke. To my surprise I asked a few more follow up questions. After I felt confident with what they were saying we decided to have the repairs done. Two year later that same truck with the same motor is still on the road! Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle or fleet to these guys!!

I came to CARS on a recommendation from another local shop that was top busy to handle my request. I'm thankful for their recommendation. Kathleen and Charles were excellent with communication and very accomodating, and I felt the pricing was very reasonable. It's very difficult to find people that care in the current climate of business in the country, and CARS is the epitome of quality over quantity. While I hope I don't need auto repair again soon, I will be returning in the future for preventative maintenance and as needed maintenance without hesitation.

Trustworthy, Reliable, and Compassionate Business. I would give this mechanic shop more than 5 🌟's During my experience I was taken care of by Kathleen. As a woman, I felt much more comfortable talking to and establishing trust with another woman to help me resolve my concerns. I had been told by another mechanic shop in another state that the issue causing the loud noise was that I had 2 bad engine mounts (right side and bottom mount). Thankfully, the day that the repair was supposed to be done at the shop in Indiana, none of the mechanics showed up for work. I had a gut feeling that something was fishy about their diagnosis. I had initially told the mechanic shop in Indiana that I was driving down a steep gravel driveway when this noise started and I heard some rocks shoot up into the underbody. Even though my gut initially told me this was the problem, I began to doubt myself when the other shop told me it was faulty mounts. I'm so happy I met Kathleen at Classic Auto Repair! She proved to be committed to true automative expertise and professionalism, as well as compassion and care for her customers. I can tell that Classis Auto Repair does NOT take shortcuts or make "repairs" to car parts that were not bad to begin with. I trust Kathleen and I'm thankful she helped save me (more accurately, my car) from "rock bottom" 😅😍 Thank YOU!!

Very happy! Classic Autos team of professional technicians made my old Chevy Truck run like brand new. I've been through a lot of mechanics that act like they're listening but really aren't. All the way from the front end of the process to picking up my vehicle was purely positive. I highly recommend this team!

I had an incredible experience with Classic Auto Repair Service. My Jeep had stopped working on me in the middle of Powhite which was terrifying and obviously stressful. My Jeep was under warranty and I had to use one of their preferred vendors. I wasn't at all familiar with CARS, but I am now! My Jeep was towed to their shop around 5pm that day and they were very communicative to let me know when it had gotten their safely. They got to it the very next morning and were able to quickly diagnose the issue and stayed in contact. Since I had been an anxious wreck, they made it so much easier! Unrelated to the reason the Jeep stopped working, there had been a strange noise from the driver's side wheel that I had been dealing with for months. I'd had four different mechanics take a look and they always swore nothing was wrong and dismissed it as "well your Jeep is just old and loud"...it's only a 2016 but whatever. Classic Auto Repair found what was making that sound immediately and fixed it - now it runs like a dream. As for the warranty, they took care of all of the logistics behind getting that processed. I didn't have to make a single phone call or dig up any paperwork or fight with the warranty company. CARS made the whole process completely effortless. So very thankful to have had my car in their care!
