Took my 6.7 in for a diagnostics and they told me it needed an Injector. Had the injector replaced & the truck was having the same issue. Was then told it needed 4 new injectors so had him replace all for new ones. After 7k of repairs the problem was still not fixed. Decided to take my truck in to another mechanic and had it diagnosed again but this time it came back for a lifter job and cam. Explained to my new mechanic what had gotten done and he explained to me that there was no reason for the injectors to be replaced for the issue it was doing and that any good mechanic should have been able to diagnose it the first time for lifters and cam. Finally had the right job done and now my truck is fixed and running great. Would not recommend to go here unless you want to pay money for no reason! (Updated after Response from Business) This the copy and paste from the notes on the second Invoice "Diagnose noise, and miss fire. Found codes for 4 more cylinders contribution. R&R 7 injectors. Engine still makes noise. Found noise is less frequent after engine is warmed up and with higher RPM. Changed engine oil and took sample. Started engine. Now only #3 is effected by noise in power balance test. #3 now has another contribution code. Cut oil filter open. Found oil filter is clear full of metal." Its weird to say I didn't want to change the oil and filter even though I brought it in for a diagnostics and it clearly states on the invoice that it was done. When I initially had brought in the truck you had diagnosed it with an Injector. After you changed the injector you called me to let me know my truck was done. I picked my truck up and drove it to the maverick around the corner from your shop and it was doing the exact same issue I had brought it in for. After I brought it back you diagnosed it with 4 more injectors needing replaced. You suggested replacing all the remaining 7 injectors due to mileage. The you called again after replacing all Injectors and notified me that my truck was acting the same way. After seeing first hand that your shop was incompetent on performing a proper diagnostics I decided to take my truck else where. Should have walked away after the Initial repair was done and the truck acted the same. Below I attached the Second Invoice and once I find the first one I will update it with an Image as well. Beware of this Bad company!

This has to be the best diesel shop around! Very knowledgeable, very professional. Had trouble as we were passing through town and they worked us in. Would highly recommend this shop.

Colby and his team are FANTASTIC. I called after making the mistake of putting DEF into our diesel truck's gas tank. Instead of laughing at my mistake or making me feel worse, he walked me through the options and possible outcomes. We had the truck towed to the shop and Canyon kept us updated every step of the way. The repair was not cheap, but it also was not as costly as I was afraid of. They had to put alot of time and work into getting it back up and running, but I am happy to report that several thousand miles and a few months later the truck is still running smoothly. I highly recommend Colby's Diesel Shop for your diesel repair needs. Thanks!

If you’re looking for a great diesel mechanic in the area, Colby is your guy. I am a full time RV’er and needed an oil change on my Ford F350. While talking to Colby, I mentioned I had a small oil leak from the pan and how much Ford wanted to reseal the pan. In our talks, I could tell Colby knew his stuff and he offered to reseal the pan for significantly less. It’s been about 5k miles towing my 17,000 LBS RV over some big mountain passes since he resealed the pan and I have not seen a drip of oil since. I would highly recommend using Colby for any diesel repair needs you may have. He’s honest, trustworthy, knows his stuff, and has really fair prices. 10/10!

This Diesel and Automotive repair shop was a fraud. Please be aware when taking your vehicles to this shop because he will try to get money out of you. This review doesn't even deserve a one star.

My GMC diesel van broke down on Memorial Day as we were driving through Utah. Lucky for me, Colby and Kenyon were working on the holiday and could help me! The issue was a tricky, random electrical issue, which they found after meticulously evaluating my engine over about 12 hours in total! They fixed the problem, and my van has since driven to Texas and back (from California)! I was so grateful that Colby and Kenyon 1) were working on a holiday!!!!! 2) were super friendly, and explained everything they were doing clearly and succinctly 3) the cost was super-reasonable 4) they used their care and skill to diagnose my weird engine issue and get me safely on my way! Thanks again!!!!!!!

Needed a sensor replaced on my truck quickly. Colby was able to diagnose, install and perform all tests in one day. And the price of the part and labor was reasonable. He kept me informed of every step. Highly recommend this shop for diesel work.

Colby diesel is the best, Ford dealer wanted to charge me $6000 for repairs. Colby charged me less than 1/6 of that including added repairs. I will go to Colby for all future repairs and you should to! Thanks Colby!!

There really should be more than 5 stars and Colby deserves them all. After breaking down with a new-to-me skoolie, he saved the day. Not only did he fix the bus, he was thoughtful and caring with my situation. He is trustworthy, reliable and professional. I would drive hours to have him work on my vehicle. I don’t usually post “Google Reviews”. Colby and his team are outstanding! We broke down south of St. George on our way home to Canada while hauling cattle. He replaced all the injectors in our truck and had us on the road in less than 24hrs. Wouldn’t use anyone else in that area.

I wish they had 10 stars to give because I would give him that. We came thru St George on 8/23 on our way to yellowstone when we had turbo issue with our f450. Not only did Colby help us but he stopped most of his day to fix our truck and get us back on the road. After replacing a turbo hose and finding a clogged sensor the truck was still blowing the turbo hoses off. Colby rode with my husband in the truck where it then broke down on the freeway. Colby did the repairs there on the side of the freeway, even had the needed parts delivered to him on the freeway. He was able to trace the problem down to a bad sensor wiring harness. So very appreciative of the work he did for us. If I lived in St George he would be my go to mechanic.

I'm leaving this review because colby and Kenyan are very nice and knowledgeable. They gave me a great deal on my TIPM and a front axle and were able to get the job done same day. After my excellent experience with them I won't go anywhere else for repairs. Thanks again!

Colby and his team did a great job at fixing the cam phasers on my F150. They did it in a way shorter time period Then was expected, and they were almost $1000 cheaper than the local Ford dealership. They are friendly and easy to work with and they even helped me out with my warranty coverage. Highly recommended

I’m so glad I found Colby’s business page when I googled diesel mechanic, when my truck broke down almost at the end of the day after a long day if mowing lawns, I texted him after hours and he responded within minutes, man, I’m so grateful Colby is around, I had my truck towed to his shop and after letting him know how important it is for me to have my truck running so I can get to all of my costumers for lawn care, He took it in and worked on it the next morning and Had it ready by 1pm, I picked it up and was able to go do my route. I had bad experiences in the past with other diesel shops but Colby has made me believe that there are still good and honest people out there. I also wanna mentioned the guy in the office was very welcoming when I walked in and that says a lot of how great everyone is at this shop. Thank you so much Colby and staff. My wife and I were traveling from San Diego to Yellowstone in my 1995 Ford F350 Power Stroke Diesel, for a long awaited camping holiday. The truck died a few miles north of St. George. A good samaritan called Brackens Towing Service and they towed us back to their service station. This was on a Sunday morning. On Monday morning Brackens service manager called around town to see if any diesel mechanics were available to help us with our problem. Colby's Diesel and Automotive Repair made room in their busy schedule and was a blessing in disguise. In short order they determined my mechanical fuel pump had failed and despite many other vehicles in their service bays made it a priority to get us back on the road by the end of the day. The entire experience was amazing. This is a family business. They treated us like family! Mom, Dad, Son and close friends provided a personal service that goes beyond just five stars. I can not thank this skilled team enough for the best service, fair price and confidence in workmanship I have ever experienced. I highly recommend Colby's and know they will be in service for years to come.

We were so lucky to have found Colby when we were visiting St. George & discovered our truck had a fuel line leak on the Fri before 4th of July weekend! He spent a great deal of time trying to locate the parts for us & finally found them 3 hours away, so we rented a car & went & picked up the parts. While we were gone, he got our truck ready for the new lines— we returned at 3pm and he had it completed by 5pm!! Truly unbelievable customer service! And he had an extra car that he let us use & if it didn’t have the “check engine” light on, he would have let us take it to go get the parts!! And finally, his prices were very fair! We can’t say enough great things about Colby!
