I searched for a great mechanic for awhile and found one with Collins Auto. By far the best mechanic and shop I’ve been to. Just today I picked up my car where they not only found and fixed the problem quickly they really prevented a bigger problem down the road. I absolutely recommend and trust this shop.

Brought my daughter’s car in due to some noise in the front in. Expected the worst, but after an inspection Collin found the front right brake calipers wasn’t tight. I had just had all four brakes replaced from another brake shop and they only finger tighten the caliper on the right front. I was only charged for the inspection and the sound is gone. Honest and reasonable. Highly recommend.

Colin's Automotive is the absolute best! The owners Colin and Jules are great people and incredibly knowledgeable. I am in the medical field, and I am so impressed how Colin treats each car as if it were his "patient" - he is thoughtful, incredibly thorough, and most importantly HONEST! My Jeep Cherokee was a huge mess, and Colin helped me through the process of diagnosing the issues and providing excellent recommendations for service. I will only get my car serviced with Colin in the future!

Collin has been my mechanic for over 10 years, and has worked on all of my Jeeps and my Buick. I trust no one else with my vehicles. Collin has never tried to upsell me and has always given me all options and choices before I commit to a repair or replacement. Both he and Jewels are knowledgeable people and will you give you the best pride and service around.

Collin and Jewels are really good people. Collin is a very knowledable and skilled mechanic. They are very fair and honest. We have been taking our vehicles there for many years, He takes the time to go over everything that he's going to be doing. If multiple services are required, he will discuss which ones are a priority, and works out a plan to get things done. He went through our motor from top to bottom, replaced hoses and belts and much more. The old girl runs like a dream. He also did some bearing and brake work that was way overdue. Collin and Jewels are such friendly and helpful people. We have an older car that is considered our metal family member. Collin took care of the power steering problem with skill and was reasonably priced. Honesty and integrity define this auto shop. I would never go anywhere else. As an example, I took my car in because of a vibration. Within five minutes, Collin diagnosed the problem. In addition, I had been told my front brakes needed to be replaced. After inspecting the brakes, Collin said the brakes did not need to be replaced. Jules also works in the shop, and besides being very friendly, she is extremely helpful and knowlegeable. If you are looking for an exceptional mechanic who is smart and reliable, this is the automotive shop for you.

This shop is probably the best ive been to. Ive hopped around a bunch of shops in sacramento in the few years ive been here and by far these are the friendliest and best service. Ive found my go to mechanic for sure. I love being able to support a local business.

Very rude to my Indian wife. She had an appointment for 730 they do not open until 8 according to the voicemail. She called to see if they were open because there were chains blocking the drive . Well no one answered on the first call so she waited down the street an called again around 735 jus to be met with a very rude lady who felt she can yell at her because she called twice. She was refused service because of this and to be honest I don’t think we would want to have business with them.

~*~RECOMMEND 100%! ~*~ When my Battery & ABS light turned on during my long commute home (and after AAA told me that it was more than a battery charge issue), I knew Collin's Automotive would be able to get to the bottom of my car's problem. When Collin figured out what was wrong, he explained what was malfunctioning so I was able to understand why my car reacted the way it did and the best part... when I got my car back it was running even better than when I bought it! (used cars... right?) THANK YOU SO MUCH COLLIN'S AUTO!

It doesn't get any better than this. I took in my old gen 1 Ford Lightning and didn't hear the usual " I can't work on this because I can't plug in a sensor to tell me what is wrong with it". Collin is a true mechanic with skill and craftsmanship. I couldn't be any happier with how the ol Lightning is performing now. A staff you can trust and be proud to go to. Like I said, it doesn't get any better than this
