Took a couple tries to get someone to pick up the phone, but I explained that I had a nail in my tire and was told to come in right before they opened the next morning to be helped between scheduled appointments. I arrived about 10 minutes before opening and was helped at the counter nearly right away. My tire was patched and the car was ready for pickup about an hour later.

I am writing to express my frustration regarding my recent experience at your location. I had a 6 PM appointment and waited for an hour and a half, only to be informed that the technician was unable to remove my wheels due to the lug nuts being over-tightened. This is particularly disappointing since I’ve always had my car serviced by Costco Tire center team and they are the one that over tight the wheel Lugnuts. Not only did I waste my evening waiting, but now I have to take my car to another Costco, which is incredibly inconvenient. This lack of professionalism and the overall poor service I encountered is not what I expect from your brand.

Really helpful. Love having a tire leaking air with a massive nail in it parked right in front of the empty auto shop only to be told there’s nothing they can do. Thanks guys.

Disappointing Experience at Costco Tire Center (Houston, on Ricmond St) I've been a Costco member for over 30 years and have always had positive experiences. However, my recent visit to the Costco Tire Center in Houstonwas very disappointing. I brought my car in for a routine tire rotation. After the service, they informed me they couldn't put one of the lug bolts back on and that I would need to take it to a mechanic. Since they were the only ones who touched the car, I expressed my concern. Unfortunately, they had me fill out a form for an insurance agent and basically denied any responsibility due to my "lack of evidence." Feeling frustrated, I took my car to another shop. Not only did they find new tires for a better price, but they even offered a mobile service that came to my house to complete the job. Overall, this experience was a hassle and left me feeling unheard. While I'll remain a Costco member, I will definitely avoid the Tire Center in the future. If you're looking for tire services, I recommend considering other options.

Even if this place is associated with Costco brand, it doesnt deserve even a star. The two stars are for the Costco brand. I have tried this place several times and eventually lost my trust. All the times the flat tire is not repairable and needed to be replaced. This time I had to spend 3 hours waiting in the warehouse and realized how tricky they are. I scheduled a tire repair appointment and got there 20mins earlier. After 1 hour they called and said the tire is not repairable and all the four tires need to be replaced. It turned out they didn’t even take the tire out for inspection as they don’t even have the locking lug nut key. I missed the call and had to wait another one hour and half for replacing the tire. Only then they asked for the key to the locking lug nut to take out the tire. I have to say the tire repair promise is a joke and a pure waste of the time. I don’t trust them any more.

Pulled up 15 minutes to close with a tire that needed to be plugged bc losing air. 3 people standing around doing nothing. They said not enough time to fix even though plugging a tire takes only 10-15 mins. I said please the tire will be flat in the morning. “Don’t you have a spare?” Was the response. So instead of just getting it done you’d rather stand around, do nothing and have me pull my tire off and put on a spare in the morning? Trash human being, trash customer service.

I ordered my new tires online and scheduled my appointment for two weeks later. My appointment was at 10am on a Saturday and they called to tell me my car was ready at 11:45am. Smooth and easy process

5/5 price - got a great online deal on the Bridgestones and had them delivered here 5/5 quality of product - I’m no expert but my car drives much better after replacing my old tires 0/5 service - no one answered the phone when I called. When I showed up in person for my appointment, they said it’d take 1-1.5 hours to replace 4 tires and they’d give me a call when it’s ready. So I had some food then shopped around. 2 hours later and no phone call, I walked back to the desk. He said they had “trouble finding my tires” and it’d be at most another 20 minutes. I shop around some more. 30 minutes later and no phone call, I check in again and he says it’s ready and gives me the keys. No updates ever, poor communication, took almost 3 hours when I was told 1.5, not the Costco standards I expected

As a woman, men in this industry tend to speak to me like I don't understand anything. I've tried to avoid coming to this location because of this, but found myself having no other choice at times. Some of the employees are kind. Others are not so warm. I would like to be treated with respect and kindness regardless of my gender when it comes to the maintenance of my car. The service here seems to be a hit or miss. And don't expect to have your car done on time. This staff needs to be retrained on customer service and hospitality. Kindness can go a long way.

My family has a membership and we get our tires handled in the Sugar Land location. However, since I live in the city, I tried this location. I took my car to replace a tire with a hole in it last Thursday. I brought the car in, they told me it would be a 2 hour wait, so I said cool I will work on my laptop in the food court. After 2 and a half hours, they called me saying that they don't have that tire in stock and I would have to come back in 3-5 days. Pretty unfortunate for them to tell me after I waited for so long. I received a call 3 days later that the replacement tire was here, so I called back and they told me the next appointment would be Tuesday at 4:45. I leave work early, drop off my car at 4:20, I hear nothing from them. So I check in after an hour, and I found out they have not brought it in. That it will be another 30 minutes. So i have waited over 90 minutes for an "appointment". This experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. A huge waste of my time which is only worse considering 1 new tire will cost over $200. I cant recommend this place and wanted to share this with others and management.

Please. If you want tires, DO NOT come here! I'm serious, we patiently waited and waited for 2 weeks, just for them to tell us they can't give us our tires AT ALL. We went in to replace a tire, and they took in the specifications for the vehicle and placed an order. NO communication AT ALL of when the tires would arrive, until I drove there and asked them in person. They ABSOLUTELY DO NOT answer phone calls and there is absolutely no one at their desk. Went back, dropped off the car, only to find out they messed up the specifications and they couldn't fix my car at all. This is absolutely pathetic and I dont understand how a specilist, or even an amature or a beginner technical can mess up this much. Absolutely pitiful about this establishment and please if you want tires, do not go here. Usually Costco has very high standards, but Costco Tires just is not it...

Update: They stole the tire pressure cap from my tire when adding air (see photo attached). Original: The Costco Tire Center team is either unethical and/or incompetent. Paid to have the tire team replace 1 tire that had a nail in it on Sunday, July 31st, 2023. Received a new tire only to find out it was overinflated. The car sensor didn’t pickup the overinflated issue until we drove off. Had to come back and waste 1 hour (not including the drive) to address the issue. It was a waste of everyone’s time. The tire team failed to put in the appropriate amount of tire pressure and showed that they cannot be trusted to do the job themselves. Was assisted by Jackson M. who failed to disclose that his team was going to make me come back the next day.

Walked in with a flat tire and talked with one of the mechanics (regret not getting his name) who was very easy to talk to and was very up front about my options. I took his suggestion to drive home on my spare and let them call me after taking a look at repairing my tire. They called me and said it was not a good candidate for repair, but they were able to replace my tire and install it on my return to the tire center.

I called to make an appointment for a tire patch, I was told there was no appointments till the next week. I was told that my best chance to get in-and-out within an hour was Friday morning as soon as they opened. I brought my car in Friday morning and they told me it would be about 1.5 hors. 2.5 hours later they had not gotten to my car and had not given me an update. When I inquired they told me they still had 3 cars ahead of me and more appointments coming in so basically they were not going to be able to get to my car for many hours. When I asked if they were planning to call me and tell me this the guy just shrugged. I ended up leavi g amd having to take my car elsewhere. Very disappointing service.

Not sure why the review was so low. Am super grateful of Jose and his colleagues. Tire got “nailed”. Popped in without appointment around 7pm on a Thurs evening. The staffs despite being occupied, were friendly and came to my aid. Jose checked all 4 tires, before checking me in (the tire shop is outside Costco, check-in counter is inside Costco). His colleague gave a succinct description on the cause at pick-out. Friendly and professional all the way. Tire check and repair work was done way before the communicated time. I was in and out in 40 minutes. Thank you for taking great care of me.

Booked in for a tire rotation. An hour later they call to say they can't rotate the tires for safety reasons. Quoted an outrageous price for 2 small tires. Checked tires they were both above tread indicator. Took another half hour to get the keys back and$20 refunded for the rotation whilst Im there with a cart full of perishibles. How about being upfront before wasting people's time? A disgrace to the Costco brand. Won't be back.
