Had a great experience working with Vu Ly. He conducted a thorough walk-thru of a vehicle I brought him. At each point of this inspection he explained the cost breakdown while building up my confidence to accept his estimate. He doesn’t come off as a person trying to hustle me into signing any contracts. But a person truly genuine in providing me with excellent service. Highly recommended that you bring your vehicles here for their services.

I consider myself a humble person. I left the ding on my car to remind me that I'm not perfect. It finally got to me because "my not perfect moment" was a profoundly idiotic move. I was parked too close to a huge cement pole that was very easy to see, and I crunched my driver's side door. The dent wasn't bad, but the white paint transfer was a badge of dishonor. Soooo, I decided to get it looked at. My friend used the little body shop at 10th Street in Oakland for years, and I guess they got bought out by this megalithic body shop conglomerate. Guess what? They still give awesome service! I went in to get my shame evaluated, and Vu said he could get rid of all that white paint for. . . Wait for it . . . FREE! And sure enough, he did! I can live with the small dent. I need to remain humble. Thank you, Vu!

Went and got my car repaired here after East Bay Paratransit hit my parked Mercedes. Vu Ly was extremely helpful in helping me communicate with East Bay Paratransit's insurance company and was able to get the repairs done very quickly. I got a rental vehicle from Enterprise on Embarcadero in Oakland and Crash Champions even let me leave my rental car there when I picked up my car and took care of the return of the rental for me. I highly recommend this autobody shop for their excellent customer service.

Made an appointment over the phone. Had my car towed over, at which point they refused to accept it, saying they were at capacity. What’s the point of making an appointment then?

Crash Champions on 10th street is AMAZING. The team there is all very helpful and kind, and the process of getting an estimate and then fixing the car was very smooth. Renee was the absolute best. She explained everything about the insurance coverage and kept us up to date on the progress of the car. I would highly recommend Crash Champions!

These are the champions, my friends. After visiting five other repair shops, I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness and orderliness of this garage. I was received promptly at the time of my appointment and Vu Ly was friendly and efficient in examining my Toyota Prius, which had been sideswiped while parked on a public street. I was permitted to keep my car, which was still drivable, until needed parts came in for the repair. The work was finished in four days (earlier than they had estimated and weeks before the competing shops could promise), my car was washed inside and out, and I was called to pick it up with plenty of time before closing on a holiday weekend. Vu even offered me a money-saving solution for some additional cosmetic work that would improve the appearance of my aging vehicle. They furthermore managed the relationship with my insurance company beautifully. I’m really fortunate to have chosen Crash Champions, wish them my best and have respect and appreciation for Vu Ly, whose customer service was excellent.

When I am leaving George Arth, I always tell them I hope never to see them again, and they smile and wave and say they'll be there if we need them. These friendly, competent folks are my go-to for the assorted scratches, scrapes, and dings provided by the roads (and drivers) of Oakland. Their body work has been impeccable, and (as important to me) their communication, too. They haven't always been able to deliver on the planned timeline, but they've been so diligent about letting me know immediately if a part is delayed or something that it's much easier to manage and plan my life around the hiccups. This experience is worlds apart from shops I've used in the past where I feel like I'm constantly calling for updates and still never get a straight answer, even days after my car was supposed to be done. This shop has earned my repeat business with their consistent performance. I still hope I never see them again, but I'm really glad they'll be there when we need them. 🙂

I am very impressed with Crash Champions. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They have an automated system that provides text messages that keep you up to date on the status of your repair and estimated completion date so you aren't left wondering when your vehicle will be ready. Hopefully, I will not need their services again, but if I do, I won't think twice about calling them. My vehicle looks perfect again!

I would not recommend this place. The body work that was done was as it should be but everything else was terrible. My original estimate was 30 days for repair, on the 28th day i was informed that they had to order parts and it would be another week. Why didn't they prefer those parts with all the others? Days into that i called to check in my car and was told I'd get a call back that day. I didn't. I called back to discover that it was going to be another week. I called asking about a wheel that was scratched during the accident, was told they'd check and call me back, they didn't. Didn't repair the wheel either. When i finally did get my car back it was dirty inside and out. There were smudges and dirty hand prints on the white interior of the car, my saved seat settings were changed to reclining (why was anytime playing with the seat?), and the front motor compartment was completely covered in dust. There's a layer of dust on the windshield that won't come off in the car wash, which means there's a coating of dust all over the car. I need to pay to get it detailed now. I've filled out two surveys and no one has contacted me. Apparently these people don't care about a poor customer experience, and they are terrible at returning calls. The body work is as it should be but the car is dirty and customer service is bad. I would not recommend Crash Champions.

There’s a reason this is a 100+ year business. I needed a bunch of work and haven’t had body work done before - the shop super kindly helped explain the process with insurance to me. And after, when I brought it in, texted me regularly to keep me updated. And when we realized we needed the car back a day earlier than expected, they made it happen! AANND it ended up costing half what it was projected to. I mean, wow. Just never been treated so well ANYWHERE let alone a shop. So 100%, go to this place. It’s a gem.

My experience with George V Arth & Son is one I'd expect to have if I had first vetted it with a man who knew about cars (we all know the stereotype), except I've only ever visited this shop on my own. I trust this shop with my Infiniti as much as I trust the Infiniti dealership! The team is well knowledgeable, always friendly, and they're great at tailoring their communication for people like myself who don't know much about cars. Great value - super fair pricing for an always high quality service, and they always add a cherry on top. I also appreciate the transparency in consultations - I know they'll be honest with me if they think I'd be better off going to the dealership for a fix. I totally missed my window for the carwise review but I just wanted to say thanks again to Brian and team!

Overall great experience hands down. Renee and Brian are the only 2 I communicated with but HANDS DOWN TOP NOTCH! My vehicle looked as if nothing never happened. Kudos to this experience. I without a doubt will recommend anyone and everyone here.
