Absolutely amazing! These guys have been working on my families cars for years and they’re the only ones that haven’t tried to overpriced the work or add in extra things that don’t need to be done. Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with a mechanic/auto body shop.

Got my car battery changed at Crown Auto Service and these guys were amazing! Fernando was super honest, super sweet, and really knew his stuff. He didn’t try to upsell me or push anything extra, just straight-up great service. The whole process was smooth, and they even made sure everything else in my car was running right before I left. Honestly, the nicest and most professional mechanics I’ve ever dealt with. Highly recommend them!

Got recommendation via NextDoor back in 2018 or 19; have had my older hybrid serviced there a handful of times and have had excellent experiences each time! Top-notch repairs at reasonable prices; no funny business (ie, upselling or pushing unnecessary work); very friendly and helpful staff, especially Fernando himself and Yvonne in the office! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

They are amazingly honest and great place to go. They have taken care of my daughter’s car so reliably and fairly. After a particularly trying night of suspect tow truck drivers and anxiety producing noises they took care of us and even returned the car washed! They go beyond to be fair and honest.

I moved to LA in 2011. I have been taking my cars to Crown Auto ever since a neighbor recommended them after we moved in. Crown are honest, thorough, and overall—know what they are doing. It is family owned, with generations of "Fernando" working there. If you are looking for an "honest mechanic" in West LA, this is it. I will never stray from this place when needing anything done to my car, mechanically.

My first time here and definitely not my last. Fernando took care of me so well, it felt like he treated my car the way he would for one of his kids. Family owned and run for 30 years. Fernando is the mechanic I want to work on my car for the rest of my life. Called LA my home for nearly 40 Yeats. I found Crown Auto through a friend. I have never trusted any mechanic as I do for Fernando. He does the job and more. He has a great staff of professionals who know their jobs and have worked for Fernando for as long as they have been operating. Quality work and service. I will recommend Crown Auto to all who are looking for automobile repairs. You will not regret this choice. Thank you Fernando and Crown Auto for keeping my car alive and running like new. Dropped off my car for a free diagnostic service Thursday afternoon so they would have it all day Friday. I go by Friday around 3:30 pm to pickup my car because I needed it for the weekend and I go to the location and I see my car parked on the street 1 block from their entrance with my window down and keys in ignition and car running! They tried to explain to me that they were moving cars. I had to get in my car and drive it myself to the front of their shop. Are you kidding me? This is LA with car thefts and you just leave my keys in the ignition with no one around??? How could you trust them to work on your car when they leave your car on the street with window down and keys in ignition? After all that Fernando didn't even tell me what is wrong with my car. You spent 7 hours having car and you can't even spend 1 minute to tell me what happened after 7 hours of you having my car? Don't waste your time here.

The reason I’m giving 1 star only is because this place couldn’t fix my car. I had a cylinder misfire issue the engine didn’t get the power needed in the freeway and hills. They fixed the issue only temporary the light goes off and after I drive my car for few days the same issue came back again so they changed some stuff like spark plugs and ignition coil and again I came back more than 3 times for the same issue and I gave up at the end and wasted lot of time and energy . I got my refund for the spark plugs and coil ignition which was $470 however I believe the labor is way too expensive. I fixed other things like my brakes and AC also the suspension and total cost was over $2000. I wasted lot of time and my car didn’t get fixed at the end . Another thing I want to say is that the owner of the shop is rude and lack customer service, he didn’t like the fact that I came back for the same issue over and over like it was my mistake, it’s your mistake I gave you the car I paid for the service and you didn’t fix it so you need to know how to handle situations like that if you can’t control yourself let someone else deal with customers or you will lose them, the other staff are fine . If you have misfire cylinder I don’t recommend you to come to this place don’t waste your time and energy like I did not worth it . I will never come back to this place .

I’ve been coming to crown auto for 5 years now and Fernando and his team have always provided honest, quick, and friendly service. We have two cars, both a bit older (2014 Prius and 2004 Sienna), which have needed various work over the years. Everything from an axel replacement to brakes to, most recently, rodents chewing through critical wires… Fernando always assessed the problem, gave us options (replace with new or used parts), and estimated costs that never strayed far from his original quote. He was communicative, kind, understanding, and professional. His mechanics do excellent work and the staff are all very personable and helpful. I’ve recommended crown auto to at least 4 friends who all agree: they consistently give you the best quote in town, do excellent repair work, keep your car clean (often much cleaner than when we brought it in!), and are respectful. Highly recommend this team for any work you may need.
