The hype is real. Genius, honest, fair, patient, upfront, helpful, direct, compassionate, hilarious, great energy. They need to clone this guy and open a chain of daily automotives. The crazy thing is that he shouldn’t be the unicorn that he is. This should be how all mechanics behave. Since when did it become the norm to expect to be treated like a dollar sign and not a human? If he isn’t taking new clients it might help if you offered to pay via bank transfer. I noticed the credit card fees he gets charged are pretty high! Honestly it’s worth it to pay double just to have the right person work on your car. Especially if it’s an electric problem and/or a mystery that other mechanics can’t solve. It’s worth it to offer him more money because Chris CAN solve the issue. Great shop. Believe the hype. Can’t imagine a better shop exists anywhere.

Been going here for years now. Always professional and as timely as he can be. Unlike many he will also tell you what DOESN'T need to be fixed, that way you save some money. He isn't currently taking on new customers as he tries to catch up, but once he does I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants quality work.

They are very friendly and professional, and up front about what you really need If you can't do all the repairs at once. They'll give you estimates on what can wait so that you can plan for it in the future. I was referred to them from a friend when I purchased a 14-ft box truck. Chris helped me get it roadworthy without convincing me to fix every little thing at once. He let me know what was going to need work in the future and how to maintain the truck until then. He's happy to explain what he's doing and why! I totally recommend them! 💯☺️😍

This is now my go-to mechanic. It is such a relief to finally find someone I can trust to do it right, and take the time to shop around for parts to save me money. Chris is amazing, and runs a tight shop with low overhead... Which means it's the mechanics doing the communications, too. A little slower on response times, as a result, but worth it because you're immediately talking to who you need to. They're backed up, and do it *right*, so plan ahead. It's slower than other places, but you get what you wait for!

We started using Daily Automotive several years ago when our regular mechanic could not identify what was causing fuel issues in our older truck. Chris and his team figured it on the first visit and we have been going back ever since. They seem especially adept at figuring out electrical issues. Each visit I walk away feeling safe in my car, like I paid a reasonable fee for the services received, and that I know what service is needed next as part of our regular car maintenance.

Truly the best experience I have had at a automotive repair shop in the Portland area!! The owner is a hands on mechanic extremely knowledgeable and above all one of the friendliest, honest people I have ever met in the industry. He values customer retention and loyalty. Chris the owner is a very knowledgeable mechanic and he is very honest . Being a former mechanic myself I know what goes into a lot of the work he and his team does . His prices are very fair and he is super thorough on his work . I just had 4 new shocks installed on my truck and his prices was almost 200 bucks lower than anyone else . Very impressed. I will be bringing my truck in for more work! Thanks Chris

Daly has been my mechanic for the past 3 yrs. I have a 2004 Nissan Altima, Daly Automotive has replaced hoses, radiator, brakes and even an oil change. Chris takes time to show you the actual problems, and doesnt price hike parts or labor. Always been timely efficient work. Thanks for all your genuine service.

Chris was awesome! My LMT recommended me to him and I'm so happy she did. Outrageous audio installed an automatic starter & stereo system on our 1999 TL Acura, however they did a hack job (no surprise) which caused the car to cut off while we were driving. Chris was able to diagnose the issue with an hour of taking everything apart and removing the automatic starter system for us. We'd already taken it to another mechanic that claimed nothing was wrong...when something was clearly wrong when you car stops on the I-205! He ordered the part and was able to fix the same day for a fraction of the cost other places would have charged me. It's not too often you find someone who doesn't want to dick you over in the car game. Happy to say "he's my mechanic"
