Got there 45 minutes to get my state inspection 35 minutes after it should have been open. The inspector pulls in. So yeah, ot to happy with this place.

I arrived at Dale City auto care, to get 4 new tires put on my car. I needed them mounted and balanced and an alignment. Ricky took care of everything. we even had an issue with my wheel lock . He took care of getting a new one ordered. Ricky was amazing and has great customer service>. I will be back to see him

My experience with this repair shop was a discrace! I took my car in for a diagnostic for a code and was told it needed a front catalytic converter. I questioned their assessment because I found the flexpipe cracked and was told that wasn't the issue and my car needed the front cat and I approved the repair against my better judgement.. when I picked up my car they were closed and I found that they replaced the rear cat and not the front one as they advised what was to be replaced... as I had already ordered the parts to replace the rear cat with the flexpipe, I never would have approved this repair because I planned to do it myself... I approved the work on the front cat which is what they diagnosed was this issue. They were helpful with helping me try to complete the drive cycle so the car could have its emmissions test but this was unsuccessful and nothing else was done to this date... with this said I can no longer recommend this garage to my family and friends which I have done so for years.. I am still and a cross road on my options and if any further action should be taken... something has to be done to make this right as I paid $1100 for a job that I didnt approve and was not the cause of the issue as they advised me on.........

I had an inspection done at this gas station, and I was very impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of the staff. The mechanic shop is clean, and the team was very helpful. I also had an oil change, and they did a great job.

Impressed with this Exxon once again! I have been coming to this Exxon/Dale city Auto for years for routine maintenance and inspections. I recommended it to my husband when he had a major repair as well. It’s always been great, although a couple years ago, I noticed that almost the entire staff had changed. The visit was fine, but I didn’t feel the same loyalty without the familiar faces. Well, today I took my car in for a safety inspection and oil change. All new faces again, and this time I was made to feel very comfortable. It gave me the same feeling that I had at the shop for the decade prior to the previous management change: they are trustworthy, professional, reliable, and with a high level of expertise. The gentleman who completed the inspection and gave me some terrible news did it in the best way possible, pointing out some very clear issues that required repair. The shop manager, Ricky, was intelligent, personable, and sympathetic. Whatever he gets paid, he should be paid more. Between the mechanic and the management, I am back to enthusiastically recommending this location to everyone I know - especially my female friends, because I was treated with respect. The work was completed quickly and I feel like the car has a new lease on life!

Beware! This shop is simply looking to take your money for repairs you don’t need!! I took my vehicle here for an inspection. They told me it needed rear brake pads and rotors and wouldn’t pass inspection and gave me an estimate for the repairs. I asked them to put a rejection sticker on it. I had just had my front brakes replaced and my mechanic had told me the rear brakes were perfect! I went to my fathers mechanic, mine wasn’t available, and he took both rear wheels off and told me he could find absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes. Rotors were in great shape and the pads had over 3/4 left. He said I can’t find anything to warrant even thinking about replacing your brakes. I took it to another VA Inspection station and told them what had happened. They did a complete inspection on my vehicle, passed it with no issues, and said they saw nothing wrong with the brakes when I asked. The brakes had zero reason to be failed.

I recently used Dale City Exon for an oil change and to have my brakes checked (thought they were occasionally making an odd noise). Ricky, the guy I think runs the place, was fabulous. He was friendly, welcoming and professional as were the mechanics. Ricky arranged for an Uber ride home for me. Two hours (no joke) later he called to say my front and rear brakes were inspected and in great condition, nothing needed. The oil change was complete and an Uber was on the way to pick me up. Professional, HONEST, fast, great customer service and a fair price. You can't beat that!
