Danny's Auto Repair is thankfully the wonderful and reliable service that used to be Dan's Automotive Repair on 58th and Sandy. We have taken our cars to this owner for decades and we are so grateful we found him again after he was bought out of the Dan's Automotive building. We will be going here for more decades to come as they have ALWAYS provided amazing, thoughtful, and careful service. We will follow this current owner wherever he goes!

I hit a pothole had my car towed to him he did Diagnostics on it charged me $300 then I had to tow my car from there he didn't fix it took it to a battery shop and it was a dead battery took it to another place and it was a dead battery to get to a battery shop I gave you $350 for nothing I shouldn't have given him anything because I basically have to tow my car to another place which is the battery place and then I got a new battery there so that was another $100 I should have never given them anything I don't recommend this guy to anybody

I needed a clutch replaced on a manual along with a few other parts that needed replacing with it and he got it done in a few days. Prices were fair and he was very communicative on everything that had to be done and was kind. My car has never driven so well for as long as I've had it so the damage done must have been extensive from a previous owner. I'll definitely be going here again and and definitely be pointing people his direction for car needs!

I was able to call this shop in dire need of getting a repair done. I called and Danny was able to give me a quote over the phone and the total was near what he quoted. Got the car in yesterday morning and was able to pick up 24 hours later. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

I’ve taken my car to Danny for AC, gas mileage, tune ups and other services and I’ll never go anywhere else. Danny’s always gotten me in within a day or two, works quickly, communicates well, and has extremely reasonable rates. He is also kind in explaining things and doesn’t make me feel bad for not knowing about cars.

I’ve used Danny on 2 different occasions, a/c recharge and having my catalytic converter replaced. On both occasions the work was not done properly and had to take it to another mechanic to resolve the problem. Consequently I’ve paid twice for issues. I’ll never use this business again.

Took my Toyota Celica in to Danny the other day let’s just say the condition I brought it in was pretty pitiful and sad, he told me the list of things that was wrong with it and how much it would cost… I gave him the ok to fix the problems and let me tell you my car runs like it’s brand new thank you very much danny for bringing life back into my car and I promise to take better care of it.

I live in Everett, WA and needed a trustworthy mechanic for my son's car fast in Portland, OR. Mr. Danny came to the rescue and had my son's car back on the road in 24 hours at a great price. Mr. Danny is currently servicing in the Army reserve and being a Vet myself, I was very impressed! I very rarely write reviews but Mr. Danny is amazing!

Had some engine noise and a hard start issue. Danny offered me an over priced engine flush or suggested a new engine. I paid $250 for an engine flush, didn't help anything. They also didn't bother to change the oil filter after the flush which is a must, so I changed the oil again myself and his mechanics over torqued the drain plug so much I needed a breaker bar to get it off... Terrible... Never again

My car’s check engine light was blinking, engine misfire codes. Had a mobile mechanic say it was fuel injectors. But that mechanic flaked on me when returning to fix. Took it to Danny, which I have gone to for years, but after this experience I felt like he just wanted my car wasnt going to make him enough money and he said it was just “bad gas” charged me $125 to use some carbon cleaner and asked me to pick my car up as soon as possible, and that was after I called there wondering why I hadnt hear anything all day and if they had an estimate yet. Picked my car up, check engine light still blinking and car running poorly. Took it to another mechanic and the misfire was diagnosed as fuel injectors just as the first mechanic suggested. Had them replaced and car runs like a dream and the check engine light is now off and has been for over 100 miles. I basically paid him $125 to plug in the OBD reader (which you can do for free at any auto parts store). Not the same business it used to be when it was on Halsey. I will never take my car there again.

We have been going to Danny for years. I do not trust any other shop with our vehicles. Although we no longer live in Portland anymore we made the drive all the way up from Woodburn just to have Danny fix our car. He is so honest and reliable! I can not say enough good things about this shop.

Danny has been my exclusive mechanic for about 16 years and I could not recommend him higher. I am a touring musician who had an old Dodge Ram van that Danny kept working for a decade longer than I ever imagined. Danny has also serviced my wife and my day to day vehicles and has been honest, done great work and has saved us thousands of dollars! Love his new location because it’s closer to my house and I’m writing this as I’m waiting for a tow truck because I just blew out my water pump on my Ford Explorer and guess where I’m taking it? Viva Danny!
