This place is one of a kind, top notch super friendly and accommodating auto service. I hit my neighbor’s bumper and was in a crisis to get it fixed asap. Prim, shaggy and Eli all helped us navigate the crisis. They didn’t even charge to help us reattach the bumper and sent us to a quality, well priced body shop in Vallejo which was also great. I would trust these guys with anything! Thank you for your help and kindness.

Dave's complete auto service has been my only mechanic shop for the last 2 years. Their mechanics are skilled, professional, efficient and honest. For me, "peace of mind" when getting my car repaired is priceless.

Great place to take my car and I will go back again. Staff was very helpful and friendly! I know they’re not going to lie to me like the dealerships. I was not far so Prem was willing to drive to me and give my car a jumpstart so I could bring it to the shop. While my battery was being replaced the mechanic also saw that my key was about to break out of its shell and fixed it for me (I hadn’t even noticed). They also were able to answer all of my questions and get me in and out quickly.

I went in for a oil change and I must say AMAZING! service both of the men there were super nice (Prem) shaggy changed my oil did and awesome job my car rides super good I would recommend this place to anybody and if I have any other issues I would definitely come back and let them service me. My car had an issue starting suddenly the other day, but after waiting a bit was able to turn on so I could drive it home. To ease my worries, I looked for an autoshop nearby and saw Dave's Complete Auto Service which had great reviews so I called and Prem told me to bring my car in whenever so they could take a look for me. I brought it in the next morning and he did a free diagnostics check for me to confirm that my battery and alternator were working, but I just need to recharge the battery more since I don't drive the car long distances -- I appreciated how quickly he was willing to take a look for me and honest about my car's performance! Will definitely be coming back for any future car needs

This was my first time going to Dave's Auto Service and it's always nerve-racking going to a new auto repair shop. Prem immediately jumped on my issue without hesitation and troubleshot the info. He gave me a rundown of what the issue may be, but luckily, it was a super quick and easy fix. Prem was kind enough to not charge me for it since it was so quickly resolved - sign of a good customer service and a great way to get a loyal customer. Will be visiting Dave's Auto Service in the future!

Trust me the reviews are true! This place is Super trustworthy and they do a great job! I highly recommend coming here to get your car serviced. My engine light was on and they diagnosed the problem quickly and provided a full estimate to fix the issue. Before the work began, I given a fair and reasonable price and felt valued and respected as a new customer. I very much appreciated that everyone was friendly and extremely knowledgeable giving me a full explanation of what my car needed now and in the future. I will be back for oil changes and any other routine maintenance my car will need.

I needed to get new brakes (rotors and pads) and like a lot of folks out there, I'm on a budget so I asked around for quotes. Dave's gave me the best quote, and after reading the great reviews, I decided to bring my car over. Once I met the current owner Prem (I think he took it over from the original owner Dave), I instantly knew I made the right choice. Not only did he quote the same price he gave over the phone, he also gave some helpful advice to prevent issues for my car down the line. That tells me he isn't just out to make money off of people, he just wants us to be able to get the most out of what we've already invested in our cars. And when I had to wait a couple hours for the parts to be delivered before they could start on my brakes that day, Prem was very kind and offered to let me hang out in his office instead of waiting outside. When the parts came in, they were quick and thorough, and I've had no issues with my brakes since. So when I had to get more work done on my car (because I didn't listen to Prem's advice 🤦🏽‍♀️), I knew exactly where to go. Thank you so much Prem & the team! ❤️🙏😊

If there was a 6th star I would choose it. Fast, reliable, and honest work. It’s really hard to come across a mechanic or bodyshop that has great work ethics and reasonably priced.

UPDATE: These people are crooks. After seeing they commented on my review, I decided to try again; I called and left my name and number several times, but never received a call back. Finally today (attempt 5) I was able to speak with someone who was very defensive and verbatim told me that “a dealership would have charged me more” as if that should somehow convince me to accept being blatantly ripped off? He told me during our call that their hourly labor rate is $140, and when I asked why I was charged so much more than that then, his answer was that I had no right to complain because the problem with my car had been fixed. The total time from when I handed them the keys to when they called me to tell me my car was done was about 35 minutes (it was just a really simple fix), so for less than an hour of labor including both diagnosis and repair, and no parts, I was charged almost $300. I deeply regret not filing a charge back on my card, and I would encourage everyone to steer clear of this place. Original review: These guys fixed a small problem fast but massively overcharged me. I called many times to try and straighten it out but mysteriously the person I needed to speak to was NEVER on the premises. I repeatedly asked if they could call me back then they returned; shockingly they never did.

All Oakland residents should gather to this Automotive repair shop. They do the job right the first time. Good service and professional staff. They are very accomidating to your cars needs. They replaced ny braks, rotary and thermostat with precision. Prem and his staff are A1. Prem greets you with the most warm greeting and the biggest smile. They really care about the service they preform and they get it done right.

I’m so grateful to Prem for getting my car fixed up and back on the road after my catalytic converter and oxygen sensor got stolen. I originally took my car to the dealership by my house but they told me the part was on backorder for months. My neighbor called up Prem and he took care of me in just a week’s time! Everyone here is incredibly kind, communicative and supportive. Will go here for all my car’s needs from now on.

Phrem is friendly, fair with the price , goes out of his way to be helpful. He is patient and persistent with problem solving. It’s easy communicating with him and his competent and friendly mechanics. And they get my car back as soon as possible. I’ve gone to Dave’s Complete Auto Repair for over 10 years and they have always helped me with any problem I have with my Toyota Celica GTS and my wife’s KIA Soul. We feel comfortable, confident and thankful going to Phrem and his mechanics.

Took my 4wd Toyota in for a front axel and other unknown problem with the front end around 8:00am on a Monday. They were done before 4:00pm, all fixed up with OEM parts, axel replaced and shimmy gone. The price was more than fair. Will return with a list of other things that need to be fixed.

Best auto shop ever! Prem and the whole team are awesome. They helped me get my old SUV serviced & ready for a big road trip, and no matter how many times I brought it in with another small thing to fix they were always very friendly and made it happen quickly. Super affordable and totally trustworthy, this is gonna be my east bay mechanic for life!

Had a great experience with this shop! My transmission was on the fritz, and Prem found me a used one in good condition. The whole process took about a week and a half, and saved a good chunk of cash had I gotten a new transmission from the Subaru dealership.
