disclosure: I was asked to leave a review. The following are my honest thoughts: I don’t know anything about cars. When I pulled in, I was greeted and addressed within a couple of minutes. I briefly explained the weird sound my car was making, then they said they’d check it out and asked me to wait in the waiting area. They checked in with me twice as they were examining my car to let me know what they were finding. They also gave me recommendations of what they wanted to do, and also what I could do to take care of my car in the future. They did not seem like they were trying to upsell me on anything. And, the weird sound is gone! Very appreciative of the timely and affordable service I received.

My car is a bit older and has needed a few larger repairs this year. Recently, when I needed to get my car towed to a repair shop I found Davila Auto on the AAA repair shop list and I'm so glad I did. Chris has taken the time to break down every issue with my car, he let me know exactly why I needed each fix, and has even allowed me to see the things that needed repair up close. To top it off they're pretty quick too! Definitely would recommend their services.

10/10 service my car battery died right outside of the shop on 8/3/24 around 7pm I didn’t have any jumper cables and looked around to see Dalvila Auto Service. I called the number hoping they would be open, they weren’t but the owner answered luckily and still came after hours to jumpstart my car! Amazing guy.

Excellent service. Very honest. No oversells and fair pricing. We had an unexpected breakdown nearby and stopped here purely by chance. I appreciated that they took the time to explain what was going on with the car, and walked us through the entire process.

My A/C wasn’t working and another shop overcharged me to replace the compressor which still didn’t fix the issue. I also had an oil leak and suspension issues that needed repair. Chris, was so helpful and knowledgeable! They got my A/C running ice cold the same day! It was amazing. I’m always worried about these shops overcharging and taking advantage of me. Not only did he NOT overcharge me, he let me know I didn’t need to replace a part I told him needed replacing. He also fixed the oil leak and suspension issues. I have a 2003 and he has it running smoothly and quiet. I’ve never been happier! Thank you so much to Chris and the Davila Auto Staff!!!

My car went dead and needed assistance asap and at the very last minute called them up never even gotten my car serviced with them. And they sent Jamie to come to my home (which was near their shop) and give my car a jump. Furthering their service of running a test to check and make sure everything was ok. So helpful and right before closing. I thank him so much. Nice people definitely earned a new customer. Thank you. Bless you guys.

They fixed my car quickly at low cost. They took care of the problems inexpensively, fast with expert care. Instead of delaying and holding it they got a vendor to deliver a part late on Saturday. Ask for Chris when you call. They have great customer service, Lee prices and expert mechanics.

While at work, I shut a screw in my hatchback latch and my trunk wasn't closing! Davila's was able to un-jam my latch, give me a quote for replacing the part, and have me back to work in no time! Highly recommend.

Best place in Pilsen for auto repair. Chris is fantastic to work with. He explains what messed up with your car. He also suggested some preventive work too. Again I highly recommend this Pilsen institution.

I had a great experience here. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and they went above and beyond to explain the issue with my car and the steps needed to fix it. The repairs were done quickly and professionally, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fair the pricing was compared to other places I've been to. Chris specifically was great and called to update me on all the steps they took to diagnose and fix my vehicle. I will definitely be returning in the future for more services.

July 12,2024........I had an Awesome experience with the Management Team and Service team at Davila. My engine light came on in my Jeep. Typically, I only take my car to the dealership. My sister had her engine replaced a year ago at Davila and she said her car has been running smooth. I also had a great experience and have found a new Auto Service at Davila. Jaime and Chris are patient, reasonable and understanding. The treatment and price was much appreciated. My Jeep service and repair work was outstanding. Keep up the good work Davila! I have employed them as my primary mechanic in Chicago for the past two years. In that time, I had a variety of work done on my auto: fuel line replacement, resonator replacement, diagnostics work done on brakes, and most recently a new catalytic converter installed. All in all, the labor pricing is very competitive and the new parts/auto repairs have lasted and maintained their quality. They also work fast with most repairs done in a day.

I visited Davila twice in the span of a month, once for a check engine light and once for a stolen catalytic converter on my 2009 Volkswagen Rabbit. Every aspect of working with them was fantastic; Gabriel especially went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and they were very honest and transparent. They were incredibly communicative with my car insurance and made sure to be accessible during the claim and repair process. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs work done on a European or any car!

I came from a shop that did not fix my car and my AAA lead me to here they took great care of my car and very up front about what was going on with it• Great service in the times we live now it's good knowing God has some good jewels around, AndDAVILA AUTO SERVICE is one great place to go. My superheroes! Jaime and Juan went the extra mile to stay until AAA dropped off my car then gave a lift home. They literally had my car back up and running within less than 24hrs. So glad I found these guys and definitely will be back again
