Great experience! This is the first time I've used them for my car. It broke down nearby and had to be towed to their location after hours. I found them by necessity, but got very lucky. The cost was surprisingly low and the customer service was great!

We've worked with several Atlanta-area mechanics. Decatur Pro Auto Repair continues to be honest, fair, and clear every time we work with them. They've accommodated several day-of appointments when able to. We've never had an issue with their service. We highly recommend!

Excellent service Steve and his son are a great working team. They were able to quickly diagnose my power steering problem on my 2009 Chevrolet Silverado and get it fixed promptly at a reasonable price . Communication is outstanding with the software system They have in place keeps you updated with pricing and estimated completion time . they were get me quickly back on the road thank you!

Allow me to highly recommend this shop. I'm not from Atlanta, and I picked it due to its proximity to where I'm staying. I had replaced my battery-- which I did by myself. Then realized that my alternator was shot. The scheduler couldn't have been nicer and was able to work me in for a repair the next day. They finished the job while I waited. Very courteous, knowledgeable, and the price was very reasonable. They even found a couple of minor issues which I hadn't noticed. (Radiator hose & cap). Of course , they asked me if it was ok to go ahead. I'm impressed and so relieved. Thank you very much. If I'm in this area again i hope I don't need a repair, but if I do I know where to go!

I had a negative experience with a company that refused to service me and treated me poorly over a minor issue. I needed to get my headlight replaced, but unfortunately, the business right across the street from me refused to help. It's disappointing that I can't get my car or work van serviced there. I want to caution others to stay away from this company if they are a person of color. I want to clarify that I didn't give any attitude or disrespect, I just wanted to share my experience. Go to “Auto Air Plus” if you are in the area instead. They were able to get me in and out in no time and take care of me. I’ve seen other people go to them as well and they all said great things. Hispanic owned.

Interesting, yes, interesting, we decided Not to proceed with the repairs, since the lead mechanic (Manager) stated he could Not guarantee the repairs would Fix the problems or concerns, which was fair. Also, may be, because, we kept asking questions about the proposed repairs as well…

They used to be a great shop, but my latest experience with them - well - let's just say I have lined up another auto shop to maintain my vehicles. If you're looking for a good mechanic who won't forget to work on your car and doesn't try to upsell you, there are plenty of other mechanics in town. It's a shame to see service levels take such a dismal tumble from a once great shop. Look elsewhere for a good mechanic.

This place was very efficient, super friendly & very informative. I went in for an oil change, got me in immediately at a very affordable price ($55 full-synthetic) & added air to my tires. They also gave me a quick diagnosis of a few things I need to get done soon. All in all, definitely recommend. Avondale Estates, you have a great shop in your neighborhood.

We’ve taken our cars here for repairs or service and have been pleased every time. They get the work done fast and at a fair price. Recently had to get body work done on our Ford Edge. They did a fabulous job and coordinated seamlessly with our insurance company. Highly recommended.

Friendly and personable (Steve). They fixed my RAV4 (wheel bearing) when the Toyota dealership couldn’t even figure out what was wrong with it. Toyota had it for two days, Decatur Pro had it for less than 5 hours, figured out what was wrong, and got the work completed. Glad this place is near me.

I brought my car to the shop after it was in an 3 car accident, front and back damaged. The car was in great condition before the accident. I took my car to this shop because it was close to the scene of the accident and the Google reviews were favorable. First, I took my car to the shop around August and I didn’t get my car back until October. I told the shop when I had the car towed there that the car was in an accident but that I was not involved, and so the only damage I can comment on is what I see, and it looked bad. I also emphasized that I loaned my car to a friend, but my car was fine prior to this incident. So much, that the BMW dealer wanted to buy it back the month before. The owners assured me they would do a full assessment and send it off to my insurance . There were some issues with the insurance on my end where they did not want to cover the front end damage, due to a lack of police report. Farmers giving me the run around. Not the shops fault. Even still, I told the shop that I would need the estimate of what needed to be repaired to get the car in its same condition. To this day, I still have not received any type of write up of the work that was performed or the work still needed. Everything has been word-of-mouth. My insurance cut them a ~$10,000 check to repair the back of my vehicle. I gave the shop an additional $1950 for other repairs. No invoice, no receipt, I still don’t know what’s left to be repaired on my car but it remains in a less than satisfactory condition. It wobbles when I drive and my key fob doesn’t work. I have to hold it to the steering column to start the car. I can’t even lock the doors!! They told me the key fob was a miss, but an easy fix, and I just needed to replace the battery. I replaced the battery and it still doesn’t work. I also got a wheel alignment, and the tires rotated on my own. I paid the shop almost $12,000 and my car will probably need an additional $10,000 worth of work. I have to take my car somewhere else to be evaluated AGAIN. The shop claims they submitted supplemental work requests to the insurance company but it wasn’t approved. When I spoke to my insurance rep, she said the shop had not submitted ANYTHING since the original submission, and that she never received any supplemental paperwork. She flat out said they weren’t being dishonest. I did talk to the owners, and they insisted that they did submit the request, but agreed to submit “another one” to get the situation resolved. It makes no sense for the insurance company to lie and I know that I still don’t have any type of print out from the work that was performed or the work that still needs to be completed on my car to get it back to a good working condition. Just sloppy work. Inconsiderate. Dishonest. They took my check and ran with it, and then I was stupid enough to still pay them even at the end, bc I took his word that he would provide me a print out of everything and fix some other things. He also added he just didn’t have time to write everything up for me, but he would get it to me asap. I still haven’t heard from the shop. The bodywork is imperfect on the backend but decent. They didn’t even replace the taillight or the tire senor, just the full back bumper. The work did not cost $12k and I learned that by taking it to another shop. And that’s probably why they still have not provided any records from their work. I should be more diligent about stuff like this and track them down but after three months, I’m just over it. I should’ve taken my car to the dealership from the beginning instead of trying to save money on a tow because it has cost me so much more in the long run. A very unfortunate experience. I do believe the older gentleman at the shop was probably trying to be more upfront and honest about what was going on but the younger guy at the shop who was in charge of my repairs is just full of hot air and clearly in over his head. Save yourself some time and take your car, if it’s a luxury car, elsewhere.

I went into Decatur Pro Auto Repair not sure what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm fairly weary of being swindled into unnecessary repairs, especially as a younger woman. I had low brake fluid when I went in on Monday and they topped it off/scheduled me for a full diagnostic on Thursday. They sent me a text with an itemized list of costs and reasoning why they recommended those services. They were easy to communicate with and super polite. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new mechanic

These people do damn good work. They took the dent out of my bumper, after some careless idiot ran into me last week. And they washed and cleaned my car, inside and out before getting it back to me. I got my car back before I had the chance to miss it! If you decide to use these guys, tell them I sent you!

They fixed part of my car issues for a fraction of what the dealership and my mechanic quoted. WORDS OF WISDOM: DO NOT leave your car overnight here. I was told my catalytic converter was stolen and they had to replace it. No police report or warranty was given to me on the part so hopefully I will not have problems during my emissions. I now have to spend more money to have my car inspected. You never know what other parts were taken off my car and replaced with junk parts. Just rather be safe than 10 months later than sorry. Don't leave you car anywhere overnight unless you absolutely trust it is secure.

Went above and beyond. After gong to 3 different Mechanics and $1200 spent with issue not fixed. It took the pros from this shop to figure things out. Thank you For your professionalism, I will be a return customer.
