Went in for a loud and embarrassing rattling sound, was told by another well known local mechanic shop that it was the exhaust flange and they referred me to Discount Muffler. From the beginning of my phone call and making the appointment this place was amazing. The young lady who took my information was fast and helpful and neither of us were wasting each other's time, all whilst asking the necessary questions to book the appointment. Needless to say they got me in very quickly and I did not make it to my appointment on time. I miscalculated how long it would take from my side of town. I called the shop and the same young lady answered and was understanding and welcomed me to still come by and have my car checked out. Anyway, less than 30 mins after bringing in my vehicle they have a diagnostic and a quote. Now....(this is the part where they're heroes) I was having a cruddy week, day, hour, everything!.. and she quoted me LESS THAN 1/5 of what I had budgeted for this fix!! I was so surprised at the work they were going to do and especially at how low the price was!! Not only was the quote way under my budget, they fixed it on the spot! All in all I believe I was there for maybe an hour, maybe less. ● Saved a ton of $$ ● Saved a ton of time ● My vehicle no longer sounds like I'm dragging Tin cans and a "Just Married" sign! Thank you Discount Muffler!

As a mechanic myself, I wouldn’t go there. Their prices are ridiculous for work. You could do yourself $600 for a muffler, completely insane.

Katrina owns the best car shop in Tucson. She actually cares about her customers and the work that is done to their cars. Discount Muffler is a good, honest business and they don’t try to gouge your pockets. This is the only place I will take my car for repairs.

This repair shop is the real deal. You’ll need to make an appointment. I promise, it’s worth the wait. Service is prompt. They are brutally honest with you as to what your vehicle really needs. Their shop rates are favorable! Give them a try.

Took my car in because I stupidly drove over something and ripped off parts that were holding my muffler on. They put it up on the lift, fixed a few things on the spot. Super friendly!

Gal up front took great care of us. Came in for an estimate and I was impressed. She had to have cars moved to get the car on the rack and showed us the exhaust having extensive damage and needing replaced. Estimate was quick and appt made. Dropped off & picked up without any issues. Great communication

I am travelling through Tucson and met a young couple at the dog park and asked them if they knew of a mechanic that was knowledgable, honest, and would not intentionally take advantage of me. No hesitation when it came to Discount Muffler! They were right and so much more! Whatever your car needs do not think twice. I promise the care, and service will be the best you've had!! I will be taking my car in before I leave for that extra special care and safety on the road...:)

These guys are wonderful to work with. Not only did they find a simple solution to my AC problem, they never tried to upsell me on anything. Being on a very tight budget, I am really grateful for these guys! My AC works great now, and I found my new mechanic. Highly recommended.

Went to Discount Muffler about a strut issue with my 2007 BMW to see if they could be repaired versus replacement. The struts could not be repaired, but they identified a problem with a radiator hose. Their quote was significantly below other repair shops. With an appointment it was a two hour turn around. For an older car Discount Muffler is the way to go.

Did a flow test on my catalytic converter to check for blockage although there was minor blockage was not contributing to my loud whining noise and overheating although they worked on it a full hour since they couldn't come up with something different there was no charge. But he did point me to bleed the air out of my cooling system which took care of all the problems and symptoms. Very honest and highly qualified mechanics.

A few months ago, my 2003 Mercedes stalled in heavy traffic, and it had to be towed to my home. Surprisingly, I was able to start my car next day but wasn't sure if it was going to stall again. After calling and talking to a number of auto shops, I decided to go with Discount Muffler but wasn't sure I was going to drive 16 miles to Discount Muffler. Carefully and cautiously, I took alternate route rather than I-10 to get to Discount Muffler, hoping and even praying that it wouldn't stall on me. As I almost got to the shop and made a turn from Ina Rd. near Jiffy Lube, my car stalled again. Stranded but not too far from the shop. Katrina sent her crew to rescue me. They were able to troubleshoot and pinpoint and fixed the problem. I am still very, very thankful to Katrina and her working crew. My car still drives fine.

Called in and they were able to get me in quickly as I needed to drive back to the Midwest. They repaired my exhaust pipe and had me out the door within an hour. The person at the front desk was Amazing and the job was honest work at a fair price.

Great experience. Second time there. First time for exhaust tip on an Audi A3, second for a cat-back install on a 17' GLI. Appointment was for 9am. Got me right in with awesome service on the front end. I took my daughters to grab a quick breakfast bite next door, returned before 10am and car was parked out front ready to go. Awesome. Again, great service on the back end with time to show me their work with car on lift. Also, reasonable install prices. Before you leave a bad review, please consider the exhaust system you are having them install. Mine was a straightforward Borla kit install. If you are going custom with a "cheaper" kit or parts, be prepared for more labor therefore more $. Thanks DM squad!

Had an emergency with my vehicle, my exhaust cut my brake line in half, had to get new muffler and exhaust before I could get brake line fix, they were able to get my tuck done on such a quick emergency, and the price was wonderful, was expecting to pay an arm and a leg, but it was within a great price, will definitely go back to them. I highly recommend this place. The staff was amazing.

Have had Discount Muffler change the catalytic converters in both my vehicles. They are an honest shop and have so much integrity. There was an issue with one of my vehicles that required a couple extra days worth of work. Did they charge me for the extra work? Nope. They said I couldn't have known about the issue and there's no way I could have caused it, so they fixed it free of charge. Now that's how you retain and gain customers!! Thank you again! We will definitely refer people to Discount Muffler!

I found Discount Muffler almost 3 years ago and have been taking three vehicles to them. They offer way more than just mufflers and the service is great. Katrina is always trying to get as many people taken care of as possible so getting an appointment is easy. Their prices are great (I do shop a lot of the bigger projects). We have work trucks that are constantly getting beat up and broken. They do a great job putting them back together.

My daughter in-law recently went in for for brakes and they needed more work then she could afford. The shop was so gracious, once a year they pick a family to help and in need.
