I've always purchased my tires at Discount Tire. Today I had my tires rotated and balanced as part of their service if you purchase tires here. It was evident upon entering the front door, this dealer in particular in Alcoa, TN, was not into customer service. Waling to the counter there was a man looking down at the computer. No greeting, just silence. After about a minute, he looks up and says....curtly, "what are you in for". He proceeded to get the info he needed, asked for my keys, went to the vehicle and said he was taking it into the bay. Now normally, they check the tire depth, look at the mileage, and communicate something like, "your tires are wearing well", or "how are the tires performing" etc., also something about adjustments the customer should make if there's something amiss. Not this guy. He drives away. The car was ready, my wife and I are in our 60's. We walk out, another service guy tries to get me to buy new lug nuts for my wheels, because these have a thin aluminum sheath that may cause a problem. How much I ask? $75 for LUG NUTS. Thanks but no thanks, ask for a receipt and he says it'll be emailed. I'm thinking "do they even have my email?" I never received a receipt. So my wife and I are driving away, thinking we have the tires inspected, have the right pressure (it was winter) and good to go. Or so we thought...... I move the dash to reflect the tire pressure.....I know.. "who does this"?. I do, and here's why! Now some of you may not have a vehicle with the capability of transmitting air pressure to the dash, but mine does. The should say 33 Psi. I looked at the four tires on the screen..... One had 31, another had 39 PSI, and two others had 38 PSI. I get in the winter, you bump it up a couple of PSI to 35 maybe. But 39 or 38? and the one at 31??? this is not only a safety issue, but will definitely cause abnormal wear. I immediately took it back. No apologies, a different guy says "well we do adjust for the winter". I said "REALLY! 6 or 7 pounds, and leave one tire at 31!!" Again with no apology, he just says we can adjust them for you, what pressure do you want in them? .......I'm going to do everything I can to tell everyone I can to AVOID ALCOA, TN DISCOUNT TIRE!!

Had an emergency tire issue and could not make until 3min until they closed. Very kind of them to stay open a little later to help me out in a jam. I greatly appreciate it guys, thank you.

They have always treated me great. I always use this location when I buy new tires. They are always very pleasant and find me the best deals. The quality has always been great and the service reasonably paced.

Extremely disappointed, took my son's car whom is away in the military for 2 tires. Went back to pick up after they called, and all kinds lights and alarms were going off. This problem was not happening when I dropped it off that morning, and now I have to pay to fix a wheel sensor that has been cut on the tie they changed.

Honestly- I could not be happier. My tires were expensive, but they are great quality. In any weather they give me stable and secure driving. I bought the road hazard and just today had to REPLACE a tire due to side wall damage. $43 out the door! I have had this set of tires since summer. I have bought from other local shops with no warranty (run flat tire). Very similar situation and had to pay $350 for new tire to replace.

Will never utilize the maryville discount tire ever again. They do not have a care in the world for quality work. Their workers have tried to balance my falken wildpeaks at3 8 times now with no luck. Only thing they are good at is damaging wheels trying to pull of stuck valve stem caps that wont come off. See images for reference. They have done this to my wifes cross trek as well. My offroad jeep wheels are in better condition from trail abuse. The trail is more considerate of peoples property than the employees. Overly frustrated. I highly suggest Matlock or TireDiscounters.

11-11-2024 Monday Afternoon My TPMS on my 2017 Subaru started to glow orange 4 weeks ago after my mechanic bled & flushed my brakes. Last week I had my mechanic replaced my rear rotors and brake pads. I asked my mechanic to determine the issue with TPMS. He couldn’t figure it out, thought batteries in sensors were going low or had died, needed replaced. Today on Veterans Day I dropped by Discount Tire and Jeff greeted me at the door and asked how he could help. He came out to my car and scanned the tires for tread wear and detected TP batteries were OK. I asked for a quote for a new set of tires which he gave me. Let me know military vets receive 5% discount. I'm 100% disabled vet and I appreciated the heads up. As I was leaving he offered to check & fill the tire pressure, which he determined was low. He filled them up with air to spec and I departed. Before I reached the Hunt road exit, the TPMS which had been glowing for a month, turned off. Jeff fixed the issue for free and I highly recommend Discount Tire in Alcoa. I’ll be getting new tires take care of by them early next year 2025. Top Marks Jeff. Thanks!

Discount Tire has been my family's go-to place for all of our vehicles for years, despite living less than a half mile from a local competitor. Unfortunately, after our latest experience, I will no longer trust Discount Tire's services, even for free balance and rotation. I brought my car in on Friday, 11/22. I explained that my tire pressure light was on and that we couldn't get the valve caps off to do it ourselves. I was assured that wouldn't be a problem. 2 hours later, someone comes to tell me they've just pulled my car into the bay and asked if I had any questions. I mention adding air to my tires, to which he tells me they can't do that because they can't get the caps off 2 tires.. I am slightly confused by this statement since I'm standing in a tire shop.. So I explain again, we couldn't get the caps off ourselves and ask if they could please do whatever they need, just need to add air to the tire. A few minutes go by and I'm told my car is ready to go. He walks me outside and at this time explains that they did not add any air to my tires, and that they've sprayed "the equivalent of WD-40" on the stems, and it should loosen in a few hours... I ask what we are to do if it still doesn't work, as we'd already tried a similar method.. This is when his manager, Michael, enters the conversation. Michael proceeds to speak to me as if I'm not smart enough to comprehend the situation. He tells me that my caps are corroded, and the solution to this problem is to DRILL A HOLE IN THE TIRE. Since I have common sense, I knew this wasn't the only option I had.. Rather this would be a last resort. So, I requested my keys to leave since it was clear they didn't want to help me. My spouse returned soon after, to which they suddenly had a resolution!! Despite Michael being adamant it was their last resort, they agreed to cut the valve stem rather than ruining my tires by drilling holes in them. I'm sure Michael was mind-blown that this worked rather well, and allowed them to A- put air in my tire as requested and B- allow me to leave without buying new tires!! I don't know how Michael was put in a management position, but speaking as fellow management, this is absolutely unacceptable customer service and has cost your company any future business from our family. It would be wise to find a better suited manager that actually wants to help customers out before this begins to hurt business. From what I see in other reviews, I'm not the first to experience similar issues with this man. I also found damage to my wheels from their attempts to get the valve caps off, which wasn't mentioned while I was there.

Discount Tire in Alcoa was exceptional in meeting my new tire purchase expectations. I made an online appointment for a Saturday morning and was in and out of the store in less than an hour. The employees went above and beyond to make sure that I felt valued and appreciated. I highly recommend this location for any of your tire needs.

I buy all my tires at Discount Tire they offer the best prices and courteous service. I shopped 4 different tire dealers for Michelin tires and Discount Tire was $100 cheaper than any of them

I have been going here for 11+ years, bought many sets of tires in the past, warranty, protection on every set. Today, I went into the store due to a curb that got one of the sidewalls. And so, it starts, told me it did not need to be replaced not damaged that bad... I said, no let's replace it. After scanning the tread, they proceed to try to sell me wiper blades... No, I don't need wiper blades, I need my tire replaced. Then they ask for my email, I been coming her for years, have received many emails from them telling me "We greatly appreciate your business", guess they really don't appreciate me after all. Proceed to tell me that it is going to cost $130 plus to replace, I said No, you will need to figure it out because it is not going to cost me anything more. Then Michael, who I assume is the manager, he begins to tell me again that this would normally cost $130 plus because they don't have the same tire, I tell him, No, I really don't care, replace the tire as your warranty states. "For no additional cost". No asterisk, no same tire, for no additional cost. Well 2 hours later, I leave with a new tire for the cost of a new certificate of $35.40. "For no additional cost". I am sure they had a laugh, and thought they were clever, just move this guy to the back of the service line, make him wait longer before getting his car in. What is the lifetime value of a customer, I am sure it is much more than this replacement cost of this tire $130. Just honor the warranty, don't tell me how great you are, how many happy customers you have. Based on the reviews it appears others have also had a not so friendly experience with Michael.

If I could leave zero stars, I certainly would. My husband and I have purchased tires from the Alcoa Tennessee discount tire location for many years. I purchased an entire set of tires in May 2023. I had my oil changed at a local shop, when the tires had 6000 miles on them, so I went ahead and had the tires rotated then. Now 12,000 miles from the date of the initial purchase I took my car back to discount tire for the rotation. I set up an appointment at 1 PM , verified on the app that I was on my way and then verified on the app that I had arrived. I checked in at the front desk and stated that my driver side front tire had a nail in it and could they please repair it when they did the balance and rotation . I was told no problem. At 1:30 PM, my car was still sitting in the lot And I was told for a tire rotation and balance I could expect to be there an hour and 15 minutes. At 2 o’clock my car was still sitting in the lot. I was then told that my car was never checked in and that they were extremely busy and it wouldn’t be much longer And they would get me in the first available bay. I then asked for them to verify that the notes read that I needed the front tire checked for the nail. I was told it was in the notes. At 2:27 PM they finally pulled my car into the bay. At 2:42 PM I was informed that my car was ready. I asked the technician at Pick Up if they had removed the nail and fixed the tire. The gentleman stated that he was unaware of a nail in my tire, but if I wanted to, wait a minute???, he could pull my car back in and check the tire. At this point, I am totally frustrated and said never mind, I will get it checked elsewhere, as I had already been there for way too long. I certainly understand when your business gets flooded with customers, but why bother making an appointment when other customers who come in after you are taken care of first because they are purchasing new tires, hence more money. Seems to me that you would want to take care of your existing customers who have already purchased new tires from you so they want to come back. I can assure you I will never purchase tires from the Alcoa discount tire location again.

Ordered my tires and made an appointment to have them put on and asked specifically "what's the total" and was told "tax and all, out the door $660 everything included." When I arrived for my appointment to get the tires installed was told $770. Not happy about it, but don't feel like there's anything I can do about it. I got the text message that my car was done and was sitting in the waiting room/lobby, and saw my car pull out of the first bay and proceed to disappear - rather than pull up to the front door for me to depart. Waiting 10 minutes before anyone/employee asked of my name, I told them and asked where my car is, and was told "oh, we have your key right here." I asked where is my car, because it's nowhere in site?" With no apologies I was given my key and the receipt and told my car is out back. As a handicapped person, having to go find my car in the back lot is not acceptable.

They said they would order my michelin tires should be in by the weekend, kept waiting, no calls , went in the store they said they were looking into it, said they call me, no calls ,called the store they said they have 2 of the 4 in store, fed ex had the other 2,they would call me , no calls, called 4 days in a row they always promised to call , never called. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY, BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. I Finally went somewhere else , had the tires same day!

8/22/2024 came in today to get oil for new tires. Excellent service as always! Blake who assisted me did a great job. Mike the manager helped out a lot as well. See you in the near future and again thank you for your great service. We're looking to get new tires on our Honda Pilot. We live in Maryville and we're suggested to go to Discount Tire. I came here and got 4 new tires and the sales rep Ben was extremely helpful and the manager Michael went above and beyond to create great customer service. Price seemed fair and they were extremely efficient. If you're looking for new tires I would highly suggest trying to check them out. Great customer services hard to come by nowadays and I appreciate it much when spending money in an establishment and they treat you with respect and are grateful that you're spending your money with them. Every single time we’ve gone to this tire shop we’ve been taken care of. I honestly trust these people to take care of me or any of my family quickly and with respect. We’ve had a few issues over the past bit of time and this team has always gone above and beyond to help us. You may have to wait a bit if you don’t schedule, but they will still do their best to take care of you. Really hope they keep this level of service as many other businesses simply do not! We will stay with this shop as long as the service stays this good! Thank you all!!!

I called the store to check availability and spoke with an associate. The associate quoted me $248/per tire. I asked him if he would be willing to match the price that I had previously paid of $212/per tire. He informed me that he would not match the price and that their store was the cheapest around. (to give some context as to why I asked for the price to be matched. We have 3 vehicles all of which have received their tires from Discount Tire.) All of my previous purchases had been discounted and left me satisfied with the treatment I received. I filed a complaint with the corporate center, who promptly contacted me. They informed me that someone from the store would be contacting me to rectify the situation. I was contacted by one of the managers, Kyle. Kyle said that he was sorry about my experience with the associate, but that they couldn't “Move Mountains”. Really? That's insulting and not a statement I would expect from a manager. I took my business to a local competitor who matched the price I asked for at Discount Tire. I will take my business elsewhere where I can avoid the laborious task of “moving mountains”. This review is my experience and does not reflect others’ experience at Discount Tire.

I visited this store to get a price on tire sensors. I walked in and I was immediately met by one of their employees who was professional and listened to my needs. The price was amazing and I had my truck worked on in a timely manner. I will definitely be back.

This place is great they're honest if you don't need tires they won't try to sell them to you. Recently though I had an issue and realized when I needed them the tires are very expensive though I'm sure everywhere is. Everyone here has been very nice and helpful
