I love Discount Tire. I have purchased many tires from them in the RDU area. So when I moved to Charlotte this is the first and only place I went. Excellent service by the whole team. Highly recommend this location.

Recently stopped in for tire pressure check. Crew in bay see me (as they looked on my direction when I pulled up). Waited a few minutes for service or even a we will be with you shortly or some sort of formal, professional, business acknowledgement. None of which happened. Lots of horseplay going on in bay. One worker even told someone to “get away from me” followed by laughter. Finally left.

This morning I left the gym to find that my tire was flat and tried to make it to Firestone where they told me it was a 2 hour wait. I made it across the street to discount tire where I was greeted by Mr. Ramon, at this time I was a little frustrated and really did not want to deal with corporate America as I had a local underdog place that always does me right. Mr. Ramon escorted me to my car and back to deliver me a price that I knew I would not care for. I told Mr. Ramon that I had just gotten laid off on Monday, earlier in our conversation, so he proceeded to look in the back for a used tire which they did not have. I asked him if anyone would be willing to help me change my spare as I was not strong enough to get the bolt off (and I just left the gym 🙄). Mr. Ramon stopped what he was doing to assist me with my problem. I really was not expecting this behavior as most employees amongst us are usually lazy, rude and borderline incompetent. Mr. Ramon displayed none of these qualities and it really made my day. Humanity is not all lost and there are still good ppl amongst us. Mr. Ramon on the behalf of discouraged customers & myself WE salute YOU. Keep it up and thank you for an exceptional experience , I’ll surely be back when the appropriate situation arises!

Awesome experience! Dropped off a flat tire this morning, they fixed it up without batting and eye and didn’t even charge me. They also recognized my car when I pulled into the parking lot, so I didn’t even have to go inside when I came back to get the tire. Great customer service!! I will be back for all my car and tire needs in the future.

Discount Tire on N Tryon Street will always have my business. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff (Kevin in particular was awesome). These guys give great service at reasonable and transparent prices. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Exceptional service. I wanted to take the time and leave review about the excellence service I received from Tony and his team. He called me to let me know I could come in a day earlier than my appointment for 4 new tires on my SUV. I agreed and when I arrived his team had everything ready and staged to immediately get to work on my vehicle. They were able to get me in and out in under 45mins. I will be visiting this location for all my future tires & wheel needs.

My adult son with autism had a nail in his tire. He went to Firestone Tire close to this location towards the end of the day. They told him they could not patch it, a new comparable tire would be $230 and he would have to wait until the next morning to get it replaced. This morning he went to Discount Tire on North Tryon and guess what...tire was repaired and rebalanced...at No Charge! They just gained new customers for life! Johnathan was wonderful! Thank you Discount Tire and well done not taking advantage of a young man with a disability!

Shout out to Discount Tire. I had not 1, not 2 but 3 nails in my rear tires. Had it quickly inspected by the team. Went home and spoke to a tire specialist to make my choice of tire. Less than 12 hours after my order, got a call that my new tires could be installed today! The entire experience was quick and painless and I’m back on the road. Very happy with the customer service. Highly recommend!

I stopped by Discount Tire to get some new tires and the service was great. I was greeted by Vicky asking if I I needed service in the parking lot. Shortly, she realized that I was eating my lunch and apologized for the interruption. I told her that what service I needed and she went to get a quote for me while I waited in the car. I was in and out with a new set of tires in under 25 mins! To everyone who helped me and serviced my car I appreciate you! You did an amazing job! I will be back in the future! If you’re a woman+ a college student, I don’t reccomend coming here they will prey on you to buy all new tires. I went in yesterday to get air in my tires and the guy noticed that ONE of them was a little too low so he recommended I get it checked out and if it was something small( little hole or needed a patch) they would fix it for free. So, I went inside in order to schedule that and that’s when the guy upfront went outside to check that tire(not more than 5 min) and then came back to tell me that it’s so bad they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it and that I needed a new tire because it was balding in the edges and etc..mind you at first he said just the front too but then proceeds to tell me no actually you need to change all four they are all balding and it’s dangerous to be driving on the road like that and all this and that. I may not know much about cars but I just knew that sounded outrageous so I decided to go somewhere else to get a second opinion. Turns out, only the front 2 needed to be changed and not the back 2, and when I told them I got told something about balding they were looking at me crazy because the back 2 were still perfectly fine. Instead of paying 450+ for all 4 new tires I just payed 117 for the front 2 quick service in under 20 minutes so yes I don’t recommend this place at all because they will take advantage of you if you are a women, there’s even some reviews on here from others about similar experiences.

Went to Mavis prior and got bullied. Left Mavis and came to Discount Tires and they were were amazing! Got me in and out less than 30 minutes! Always had a good report with them and I’ll keep coming here! They are also very nice and will let you know what is going on.

Johnathan (Service Rep) Did a Great Job at explaining the scenario of Tire Load Index and weight ratio contacts. He described the initial Range for tire preference from factory to street change overs. My vehicle is within the range of tires Lowest 34psi to Highest 51psi. Everyone should know these ranges for tire capacity and speed . Mavis right up the street tried to sell me tires that were unsafe and weren't knowledgeable about these variations. Purchased 2 tires for rava4 Ask to keep one of the tires that was replaced Checked the cargo area of rava4. No tire was place in cargo area. Called shop on 4152024 to follow up on tire issue. No one from shop returned call as of 4172024 Not a good place to shop

This location is one of the worst. I bought 4 new tires around the 7th of February 2024 and was told that they are all warranted for the life of the tires. Within the month of purchasing the tire, I had a nail in one of them. Came in for them to replace it and was told that I had to pay $29.31. Upon purchasing these tires I wasn't told that I would be required to pay anything if I have a flat. This by far is the worst and most unprofessional establishment I have ever encountered. PS. They need to start setting proper expectations when selling to consumers or offering them a warranty. This is NOT very good business practice. DO NOT GO THERE.... Horrible customer svc.

Women are notoriously preyed on when it comes to needing repairs or maintenance on their vehicles. Fortunately for me, I know a lot about cars and have a dad that knows even more since he was a mechanic for many years. I came in a couple of weeks ago for a tire that kept dropping to 22-25 PSI. I brought it in for either a patch or replacement. Thankfully I had a warranty so it was replaced. However they did not put the cap back on my tire for the air after rechecking the pressure. Before that though, I also asked for a rotation. I was told my fronts are too far worn and cannot be rotated and MIGHT last until the end of the month. It would cost $399 for new front tires, and I’ve had these ones for less than a year. Then, I was told my lug nuts are swollen and asked if I wanted them replaced. I declined. They’re not swollen, they’re just dented from various idiots who can’t tighten them properly or from accidents in the past. Ladies, please look at this picture of one of my front tires. This is not what a tire that needs full replacement looks like. The tread is fine, and the only wear and tear is on the corner of the tire. They still have a good amount of life in them and will be rotated to the back next week by someone more knowledgeable than this shop. Thanks for your time, discount tire. Better luck scamming a female next time.
