This Discount Tire never disappoints. They always go above and beyond. Busted my tire the day before a long road trip. Not only did they have the tire in stock, they came to my location to change it. I made it to my destination 10 hours later with no issues. Manny and Beto did an amazing job! I am forever grateful.

Horrible service they basically try to strong arm you into using their services. If you have a Sam’s or Costco membership try them out first. Much better prices, better service, and better warrantees. I think literally anywhere else is better than Discount Tire. For some reason, they tried to keep my hubcap after replacing a tire.

The service was great and quicker than I thought for such a busy place. That particular one is extremely busy because of long lines of people getting air placed in their tires. They need better management of the parking lot because lots of people were blocked in.

Great experience at Discount Tire! Edwin H. helped me. He was super kind and professional. I had a nail in my tire, and Discount Tire will patch/fill the hole for FREE (as long as it’s in a certain tread area of the tire). Will definitely return!

I would like to give a shout out to the manager Patrick who had gone above and beyond in customer service! I went to have air added to my 4 tires this afternoon. The 2 technicians who worked on my car missed one of the tires. I drove back 25 minutes after closing time (5pm on Saturday) hoping to get anyone still in the store to help me. Patrick was professional and pleasant, he sprung to action with no question asked. I was so impressed by Patrick’s customer service!!

These guys work quick and efficient! Berto was extremely patient with explaining the temperature affecting my tires and offering quick assistance to get me back on the road. They offer free air to fix a temporary problem. Their tires are mostly covered by warranty and Berto was kind and very professional and went above and beyond with assisting me to understand the importance of getting new tires instead of investing in a used one.

Women beware! I went here this morning to fix my tire that I knew had a leak. I knew it was a small leak because I’ve only had to put air in it about once a week for the past few weeks. After initially looking at it, the guy said he didn’t see an obvious cause of the leak. He later came back with a picture of “my tire” that had a huge nail in it and said due to the placement it couldn’t be repaired. I told him to just fill the tire with air and I was going to go to get a used tire. They did that. I went to a small business used tire shop and they showed me where the leak was coming from. It was from a previous patch in the MIDDLE of my tire. They easily plugged it, made sure it wasn’t leaking anymore and sent me on my way. I wasted my time and energy here for 2 hours before going to the used tire shop where I was taken care of in 10 minutes. On top of the wait, they lied to me about the nail, the leaks placement and repairability! I hope this isn’t a regular occurrence, but it’s experiences like this that make me hate taking my car into places alone. Shame on you.

I have returned repeatedly to this location although others are closer to my location. Their customer service is excellent and consistent, the location clean, and the staff are always pleasant, energetic, and communicate incredibly well. This location is BUSY yet the staff NEVER allow this to be an excuse to be short or snappy or anything negative with customers. In the rain, the heat, everything, this Discount Tire location's staff are consistently wonderful. We can purchase tires anywhere, but the customer service we receive in conjunction with those purchases are what sets companies apart. This Discount Tire is a throwback to a time when companies CARED about their customers, ensured expectations were met, and problems were solved. If you have any tire needs, from purchases of new tires to repairs or rotation and balance of existing tires, THIS IS THE PLACE TO COME TO. Yes, I have been to multiple other locations in the city, from multiple companies, and this location has me coming back every time. Give Jack, Raul, and the rest of the crew here at the Southwest Freeway Discount Tire a chance to meet all your tire needs—they won't disappoint. If they can handle my 40" tires, they can certainly handle yours.

Everyone knows you can get cheaper tires elsewhere, or pay a premium at discount and get an excellent warranty and service. That was the case, but I came in for a rotation to take care of these new tires and left the shop with a scratched vehicle that was not scratched when I got there. They took no responsibility and don’t even want to look at the cameras. On top of this they have the shadiest sales tactics, word of advice, just say no once or twice and they’ll drop the price 10-30 percent whether it’s on tires or lug nuts. Don’t let your mom or wife come here alone either, or they’ll completely rip them off lmao. Funny how a few months after I got new tires and I’m not spending money today they find “issues” with my lugnuts and want to replace them for $160🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I had an appointment for 9:30 and arrived on time to check in. After waiting for over 45 minutes, I noticed that my car was still parked in the same spot. I spoke with the employees for about 15 minutes before realizing that they had lost my keys. After another 10-15 minutes, it was discovered that the employee who checked me in had kept my keys in his pocket and never handed them over to the service team. No apology or attempt to rectify the situation. They didn’t even get my car in next. I waited for 3-4 more cars who got there after me to be finished. Additionally, I didn’t receive a receipt or any information on the warranty for the tires. I was simply handed my keys and told that my vehicle was ready.

I made an appointment at 3PM to have my valve steam replaced. Drove there and the representative tells me he can’t change the valve steam because tire tread was a bit worn. He told me the bad news is he couldn’t replace steam but the good news is he pick out a new tire and give purchasing options including financing. “0”

Why make an appointment? Twice in two weeks I have made an appointment with discount tire and both times waited for 40 minutes before my car was touched. This is not the discount tire I remember from 5 years ago and I will get new tires from somewhere else next time App status update says service is complete, but 20 minutes later car is still in air. And first attempt for tire fitting was a flop because the tires hadn’t arrived - no notification from DT just a waste of my time

A little over 2 years ago, I bought 4 new Pirelli tires for my car, along with the certificates for road hazard for all 4 tires. I had driven the car about 11,000 miles since I bought the tires. Yesterday, I found a nail in the MIDDLE of my driver's side rear tire. I took my car to the Discount Tire store at 2927 Southwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77098 for them to repair the tire. Brian, my SALESPERSON (there's a reason for all capital letters), went out to my car with me and checked all 4 tires. It's interesting what you can see and hear when you sit in the waiting area. As I sat there, customer after customer was taken out to their cars by Discount Tire SALESPEOPLE, brought back in and were then given some reason why they needed to buy NEW tires instead of fixing them. The reasons varied. Then, Brian came over to me and said the technician took the wheel off my car and because there was more wear on the inside edge of the tire than the outside of the tire, Discount Tire would NOT repair the tire. They would either put the wheel back on the car with the nail still in the tire or I could buy two or four new tires. THEN, Brian searched for the tires Discount had in stock in all its stores and said the tires on my car were no longer made and the only tires that were available that would fit on my car were, you guessed it, more expensive. By the way, Discount Tire appears to have paired up with Tire Rack because there was a delivery truck in one of the bays of this Discount Tire store that had "Discount Tire" and "Tire Rack" painted on it. I mention this because I came back to my office and did a search for the make (Pirelli) and size of the tire I needed on my car. Guess who had 10 different Pirelli tires in the size I needed? Yep. Tire Rack. And they were less expensive than the Michelins Brian sold me. It's a shame Discount Tire has chosen to go down this path of upselling its customers after creating so much good will for so long (since 1960). I suppose it was inevitable. Once a company gets so big and so trusted, customers quit looking for alternatives and that's when they are vulnerable to being upsold. All I wanted was a repair of my tire, which Discount Tire USED to do routinely. The choice Discount Tire gave me about putting the wheel back on my car with the nail still in the tire or buying new tires makes no sense from the perspective of a safety issue because 1) the tread on the inside of my tire was not so worn as to be a hazard - if it was, Discount Tire should never have even offered that option; and 2) Discount Tire was willing to put the wheel back on with the worn inside edge AND with the nail still in the middle of the tire. The only reasonable explanation for what Discount Tire did is that it wanted to sell me two (or four) new tires. I'm disappointed after decades of being a loyal Discount Tire customer. Time to look for other options.

You're supposed to be able to get the air checked in your tires. When you buy them the lines are so long And only have one person checking. They could easily have another person checking. I called and they said they only have one machine, A big company like that give me a break.
