Getting new tires can be kind of a hassle. Unless you know specifically what you need you have shop around and compare prices and service, maybe look for a way to get a good deal. My wife's care needed new tires and I did more than my fair share shopping around and bargain hunting, but kept coming back around to Discount Tires. Not only are they convenient (maybe 2 miles from home), but had some of the most consistent number of reviews with high marks. Discount Tire does a great job of making it easy to get tires. Their website does all the heavy lifting. If you know you the size you're looking for, that's half the battle. If you're shopping using tire size they'll also cross-reference the year/make/model of the car so they know you're purchasing the right thing. Fill out a little more information, set your appointment time, pay in advance, and that's it. You'll get a text confirmation that makes it easy to confirm your appointment and track your progress! What's really neat is that you'll get another text the day of your appointment to confirm (once again) your time. You can let them know when you're on your way, and then it'll keep you informed of how long it'll take before your car is done. I love companies that embrace technology as a means to make a better customer experience. In our case it said our wait time was about 45 minutes, meaning it'd be done at 2pm, which gave us enough time to get lunch. We grabbed a quick lunch and were going to make another quick stop on our way back to Discount Tire when I got a text that the car was ready. About 35 minutes later. TEN minutes faster than their estimate! Awesome! Kirk was the employee that helped us out (my wife arrived before I did) got the (ahem) wheels in motion (did you see what I did there? :) ) and was a pleasant person to deal with. All told, we spent less than 5 minutes in his presence. The customer waiting area (that we didn't use) was rather spacious and kept very clean. The entirety of the welcome/customer service area was very nicely maintained. This tire experience was 100% amazingly awesome and easy. The next time we need tires, Discount is the place we'll be going.

I’ve never been disappointed in a Discount Tire experience and this one in Greenville is no different. They diagnosed and repaired 1 tire, ordered and installed another one for one car. Plus they’ve installed tires we have ordered and had delivered there for other cars. And their service is professional and calm which matters when there is a lobby full of people sometimes not so patiently waiting for answers and solutions.

The tires I bought are great and the service was fast but they broke one of the lugs on my rear passenger tire. They did tell me about this but refused to make it right or even provide a replacement lug. They told me that since it broke while they were removing it was on me and that they are a “tire shop” not a mechanic. This makes no sense and now I will have to get this fixed or face issues by driving with 4 of 5 lugs. Lugs are needed to hold tires on so this seems important and something they should be able to help with. EDIT: I also received the below message and I filled it out. I then was told in an email that someone from the shop would be reaching out to me to make it right for the issue which they never did. These replies seem to be so that it appears they are trying to help when they perform bad service. 2ND EDIT: someone finally reached out to me to make it right after I made the above edit.

After spending some time shopping around for tires, I decided on this "well-reviewed" tire shop last night. I put in a nearly $1200 order of Continental DWS06 EC Plus tires for my WRX, protection plan etc, and set up a 9:45 appointment to have them installed. For complete transparency on this next bit, there is a big snowstorm supposedly blowing in later tonight and this appointment was made last minute for financial reasons. That all said... I am pretty livid. I spoke with Kirk Black, Senior Assistant Manager, when I dropped my car off over an hour early. I let him know that I was third shift so I had to drop it off a bit early so I could go back home and pass out for my night and confirmed that he saw both my appointment in the system (he actually verified my appointment by name before I told him it) and that he saw my tire order. He said he didn't have the tires in shop, but he gets deliveries at 10AM. I told him I'd leave it in his hands and head back before they close at 5PM. I showed back up at 4:30 before heading off to work, hoping against hope in this sorry state of poor quality businesses and their lack of accountability, and once again was disappointed. The car was untouched, sitting in the same spot. I asked Jacob (I believe, I was seeing red) at the desk for Kirk to come to the counter to explain the situation. He went out to the shop floor to supposedly get him... And came back by himself with nothing but "We didn't receive your tires." Not only was I told the tires would arrive, but when I bought the tires online, availability was listed for today so I'm not sure what the disconnect was, and wasn't ever given a reason. Not only did Kirk not muster up the courage to come deliver the news while I was there, but no one bothered to call the entire day to let me know they hadn't got it at 10 like he said. In addition, Jacob kept trying to explain that he could find "some other" Continental brand tires to put on "right now", and asked why I wanted the ones I paid for. The reason, Jacob/Kirk, is that I paid for them and you didn't have an excuse to not deliver them, that's enough of a reason. So now I head into this storm tonight without a business deal delivered on some quality weather tires, and this review is as about as much recourse as I'll get on the matter, I imagine. I requested a refund, and because I did the payment through credit, I now have to sit around waiting for the credit company to put that line of credit back before I can make another purchase. Just fully inconvenienced, without the tires, and the Assistant Manager got to sit out in the shop and not even bother with an apology. Not once did I hear someone say "my bad" or "sorry". This company will NEVER get my business again, and my family, which has, up to this point exclusively bought their Jeeps' tires from here, will no longer do so either. Kirk, you could have made one call and been clear about the tires. It was quite literally the least you could have done professionally. EDIT: The below "response" was an automated survey where I had to copy/paste the above review into their own form. 🙄

Came in for a tire rotation and watched person after person come in after me without appointments get taken care of before me. Was told 1.5 hours and have been here for 2.5 so far and still watching people pass me up in line. Been a discount tire customer for 20 plus years but will never come back to this location.

Discount Tire is my new tire shop to do business with. 1st time customer. They sent texts out to remind me of my appointment, and a app I could follow the progress of their installing 4 new tires. The 3 service writers I saw were all friendly with the highest level of professionalism. My advisor said it would be 45 minutes to an hour. They had it done in 45 minutes. The only negative was I had one tire with a little too much air, causing my tire pressure warning light to go off....this was already after I recalibrated the system. No biggie. Lifetime rotations and rebalance.

Great customer service and support. The current manager is phenomenal he makes sure he is very detailed and assuring. Only place I will go to get my tires fixed or replaced.

Don't walk....RUN as fast as you can to this place to have all your questions answered about tires! It's so refreshing to know there are still places that have folks who make you feel at ease and aren't just trying to "sell you" something. Given it's close location to our house, we've bought all our tires here. When my son was home from college we discovered a flat. Given he drives to and from some 100m each way, I wanted to be sure he was safe, but wasn't looking forward to the unexpected cost of new tires. The good folks here recommended that we patch it up and he would be good to for a bit until we decided to get a new set. With the tires under warranty, they patched it up AND rotated free of charge in no time at all! Recently I discovered I had picked up a small screw in my tire causing a flat. Trevor came out and took a look and got me all set up with an appointment the next morning and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. All while having some great conversation. I called a lot of tire places before settling on Discount and I will NEVER take our cars anywhere else! These folks are TRUE professionals. If you're having tire anxiety, GO to this location, they are the BEST!! Our next set(s) of tires will all come from DISCOUNT! Never stop being Discount! Thank you all!!!

I hit a curb and flattened a tire. I had my car towed to Discount Tire as the tires were purchased there. They have always been great and again I wasn't disappointed. I was able to drop the car off and wait at home. The store was very busy so I wasn't sure how long my repair would take but it just a few hours, my car was ready. The tire was under warranty so the tire and labor was covered. I only had to pay for the warranty on the new tire which was great. I've always had great service at this store and so have many of my friends!

I really appreciate the crew here. I had a tire slowly going down. The day I got there they were super busy and it would have been a couple of hours to get to me so I made an appointment. Before I left they made sure all my tires had the air they needed. The floowing day I made my appointment. These guys were cordial, professional and greatly appreciated for how they have taken care of me and my family. Thank you guys.

My wife drives a 2021 Ford edge that does not have a spare tire. She had a curb related incident and damaged a tire. I drove out to where she was located. I took the tire off. I called the hurstbourne location and spoke to Travis. Travis appeared to know what he was talking about over the phone and was impressive enough that by the time my wife got to the store with the tire, I decided to go ahead and replace all four. I called the wife told her to pay for four tires and make an appointment to have the other three tires installed. They replaced the damaged tire very quickly. I arrived on the day of the installation appointment for the remaining three tires. I was met outside. I explained why I was there and that I was going to drop the car off. The service person explained that they would have me ready in 20 minutes if I wanted to wait. I decided to wait. They had the tires done in about 18 minutes. I enjoyed a couple free coffee while I was waiting. The store was clean. I was very impressed with the whole situation. They have gained a customer.

Had the worst day. I came out to two flat tires from a pot hole. Called here a s Kirk took great care of me. He informed me that I had a warranty and let me know they were covered. The best customer service I've had in a while!

Had a great experience today getting my TPMS sensors replaced. Great price, great service. Kirk at the front desk was extremely helpful and professional. When he noticed a mistake by the techs, he got it fixed right away. Definitely will return here for my other tire needs.

I was nervous. My vehicle alarm kept beeping to alert me. The right front tire was down 20 psi. This past Saturday late afternoon about 3:45 p.m. I drove slowly on the side roads. I finally reached Taylorsville/ Hourstbourne Road. TD garage doors were open. I parked, went inside, and was greeted promptly. He could tell I was nervous, looked at the screw in the tire, and gave me possible outcomes. The service estimate was 30 minutes. However, the service took 20 minutes at no charge. The screw was removed. The hole plugged. A friendly smile and firm handshake were offered. No charge was given. A professional representation of yourself and the company. I definitely will spread the positivity and return for my tire health needs / replacement. Thank YOU!

Thanks Discount Tire at Taylorsville and 1747 for costing me $137 to replace my wheel cover after you did my FREE tire rotation on my DT purchased tires. Just moved here from Texas and was initially happy to find a DT in Louisville....but I won't be back. I've had this RAV for nearly 10 yrs taking good care of it. Now it looks busted, ratchety and trashy bc your tech didn't bother to put my wheel cover back on right. By the time I got to my next destination 6 mins down Fern Valley, it was gone. I retraced that route 4 times looking for it. It's vanished. I can't describe how disheartening to know y'all don't care for customers vehicles like they do Texas Discount Tires. Y'all should pay for this replacement instead of me.....that's fair! How embarrassing and frustrating this is.

Isaiah and Matt were awesome! I brought my Mercedes-Benz E550 because one of my tires blew out. I ordered two new tires and they actually arrived a day early which was fantastic. During the tire installation something happened to my suspension these gentlemen were honest and upfront about and submitted a claim to have Corporate pay for the repair. There is something about doing business with people with integrity! I appreciate you two gentlemen!
