Came in for a flat repair and rotation/balance, was up sold new wipers. When I came back to pick up the truck, I noticed the flat tire repair was in the same position so when I asked them if they rotated and balanced, they said no it was not on the work order. They got the truck in fast and rotated and balanced the tires. The next day I went to wash my windshield and noticed they had not replaced the wipers either. Came back the following day and they had to look up the account and wound up putting the new wipers on. Need a little more attention to detail.

Fantastic experience from start to end. Ordered new tires for my truck online. Originally had an appointment for a different date, however, I called and they had openings same day. All the employees were extremely friendly, it is evident that great customer service definitely is a priority. Accidentally broke a plastic cap on my wheels, they immediately pointed it out to me upon completing the vehicle and are replacing it with no questions asked. Was out the door less than an hour after I showed up. Highly recommend.

Went to have lunch and wanted to get the tire pressure checked real quick. They have empty bays, doesn’t seem busy at all. Should be in and out.. boy was I wrong! Almost an hour now in the tire pressure check line and still haven’t had my tire pressure checked. Not nearly as efficient as it should be. And it’s impossible to leave the line once you’re in it. Incredibly frustrating and another reason why our vehicles go to Goodyear for our tires and service. Pathetic, honestly.

I called the other day asking for a tire recommendation and Jordan was very helpful. I ended up having them installed at a different location but I'm very pleased with the tire that he recommended. Today, my husband went in to get new tires as well. He mentioned that Jordan was awesome and made sure the bigger tires would fit his truck. I would ask for Jordan if you need any help.. he has great customer service. It was a quick service. Very pleased.

I don’t know if it was because it was the weekend but holy slow service. I had an appointment set and even checked in online and took way longer than needed. They hadn’t even moved my car to the bay in the time it was supposed to get done, which was 35 min. THEN I get the text message my car is ready for pickup and had to wait an additional 15 min! This location needs some better management out on the floor. I’ve been going to Discount Tire for quite some time and it’s NEVER taken that long.

I have been buying tires from discount tires since the mid 90's. Recently I had to walk out with sincere disappointment. The sales staff is deceptive in my opinion. I took my business to Costco.

Slowest service I have ever received!!!! Idk what these folk are doing but it’s not their jobs that for sure. Getting ur tire pressure checked should never take this long. Go somewhere else save ur time!

These guys fixed one of my tires for free after the nearby Walmart said it was unpatchable!! They were a bit enthusiastic about trying to sell me new tires, but they accepted my "no thank you" and performed the fix anyway! Very happy, will surely come here when we eventually need new tires.

This is a very busy location, but the staff is friendly and goes above and beyond. I previously wrote a less than stellar review for this location after leaving unhappy with my service. Three different managers ended up reaching out to try and resolve the issue, then one of them, Adam, went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. I highly recommend this location and will definitely be going here for tires/tire maintenance for the foreseeable future. Just be sure to make an appointment unless you have time to wait!

***UPDATE 09/07/24: I ended up being back in the area this weekend, and had in my mind. I wasn’t gonna stop, they’re not gonna do anything for a tire cap. But I did stop and I did go in with a thought already in mind that they were going to say sorry about that but oh well. When I walked up to the counter it was obviously very busy inside. When it was my turn, I asked for a manager. The person behind the counter asked if he could help in anyway and that the manager was currently occupied. With frustration I did reluctantly explain to him my situation and asked if there was a way to fix the situation. Adam did explain to me that there are times that the line gets very long to get air in the tires and sometimes people wait in that long line for 20 minutes or more on a busy Saturday. He further explain on the technician side it is very hot, especially with our Texas summers and it could be that the technician did not get to fully screw the caps on tight enough and he did apologize for that. It does make sense if you’re standing in that heat car after car with the engines running and the heat multiplies, I begin to understand what he was explaining. Adam did go with me outside even though they had a busy lobby to go look at my tire. He said if you hold on let me see what I can do. A few minutes later he walked out with the exact tire stem cap that I needed for my car and I was so grateful that he went above and beyond to go locate that for me at that point in time. This has turn my disappointment around, and I will continue to do business with Discount Tire. A big thank you to Adam for truly taking care of a customer. 09/01/2024: Took my new car for the very first time this past Saturday to Discount Tire to get air in my tires. I noticed when I got home. I was missing a cap for one of my tire stems. I went to check the rest of my tires and noticed they were all barely screwed on and one was barely hanging on, and about to fall off too. My new perfect car is still New but is now no longer perfect thanks to Discount Tire. I am very disappointed. Not sure if I will be going back, I don’t want to be that person that has to tell the technician to make sure the tire caps are screwed on properly every time I visit, I shouldn’t have to do that. Do better Discount Tire.

First and foremost I never leave any kind of reviews anywhere… but today I came in for a NAIL in my tire and was told it was unfixable it wasn’t on the side wall or anything so I knew it was fixable.. upon me telling them I wasn’t going to buy a new tire they decided roll out my car on the wheel and scratch it. Very disappointed with the service I’ll never be back to this place again. (tire was eventually fixed down the street)

I have been a Discount Tire customer for over for 13 years and my most recent visit today was probably my most frustrating. (I am not normally one to leave a poor review but I felt it was necessary). I pre-purchased my tires online and scheduled my appointment for today. They were helpful in servicing me earlier than my appointment. Upon checking in, I did add a purchase of lug nuts to my service. When I picked up my truck, they had not replaced the lug nuts. So I returned it back to them. Then when I got it back, the TMPS light was still on. So I had to return it yet again. After this return, the tech stated that the sensor was bad and needed replacement. I asked why this wasn’t caught upon check-in and there was no sufficient answer. All items were then completed, after much frustration.

Last month during a visit to Discount Tire at 1604 and Potranco in San Antonio for a tire pressure check they didn't tighten the caps and I lost one. Today a newly purchased set arrived so when I had the tires checked today I made sure they were all secure before I drove away. Their employee Ernesto told me 2 of my tires were worn below safety standards and told me to go inside the store to purchase new ones. I spoke with Clayton inside and asked him to recheck the tires because I didn't trust Ernesto's quote. Ernesto seemed alarmed when I told him I was having someone else check his work and he went out to talk with Clayton. Clayton came back after checking my tires and said they all have plenty of tread. He said Ernesto's device may have been angled wrong and got a bad reading, or that it was mis-calibrated. I have never had problems in my more than a decade of being a Discount Tire customer, but from now on I think I'll get an independent second opinion the next time they want me to spend money!

Seen some reviews and was a bit hesitant to buy any rims or anything here, but had some curb rash on almost all the tires and just needed to get new rims. Knew I wanted black ones with no particular style in mind, and Johnny helped me asap! He took a lot of his time to help me look for any rims in stock at other stores to get the job done same day! There was a minor discoloration on one of the rims and when I brought it to Johnnys attention he was quick to resolve the problem and order another one with no extra cost or fee. He even kept my old rims for me so I could pick them up next day since my car had no room for them. Overall great help from Johnny and staff.

I’m just a normal father ,husband My sons car broken down at the one on Potranco the new one Well he had locks on he’s tire yes just like some of you he lost it well the manager and a worker told he they could not remove to fix he’s flat We contacted the dealer no luck we waited till next day found someone to break it Then we spoke with another manager they said if we would have bought a tire they would have broke it All the main goal is a sale not customer service fake ads only money

I visited Discount Tire on Potranco Street after hearing from my father-in-law that they fixed his tire for free. I was initially skeptical, as it’s rare to find such services without a catch in 2024. I called ahead and was advised to arrive at 8 AM to avoid a long wait. Upon arrival, the staff member with “legendary eyebrows” who assisted me appeared aloof, barely made eye contact, and had a disconcerting demeanor. He requested my lug nut key but was unclear about what he needed, leading to a frustrating ten-minute exchange before he finally explained. After providing the key, he directed me to their sales presentation, showcasing a tire chart with a high-pressure sales pitch. Despite my extensive 25-year background in sales and marketing, the lack of eye contact and genuine interaction was off-putting. He then asked for my car keys, which I reluctantly handed over, curious to see how the situation would unfold. The staff handed my keys to a group of young employees in the back, who were more interested in singing along to a Disney song (“Your Welcome” by Dwayne the Rock Johnson) than in customer service. Shortly thereafter, the salesman presented me with an ultimatum: either put a donut on my car or pay for a new tire if they couldn't fix the existing one. I insisted they inform me of any issues before making any changes. The salesman explained that if they couldn’t repair the tire, they wouldn't be able to reattach it due to liability concerns, leaving me with the choice of a $200 new tire or a temporary donut. Recognizing the sales tactic, I requested my keys back and informed him that such terms should be disclosed upfront. Despite his continued attempts to sell me a tire, he never addressed my concerns directly or made eye contact. Upon inspection, he pointed out a screw in the tread, claiming it was irreparable. Doubting his assessment, I took my car to a mechanic friend who fixed the tire within an hour for just $60, proving it was not the issue Discount Tire claimed. (See attached photo of tire) In conclusion, when a business offers something for free, it's wise to be cautious. Transparency and honesty should be prioritized over misleading sales tactics.

The customer service at any discount tire is always next level. We call it the chickfila of tire shops. But they were extremely fast during walk ins and walked me through the whole process so I knew exactly what my car needed and gave me different price options. During the time I waited I saw the way different employees interacted with several different customers and you really just cannot get better customer service anyway.
