Good experience. Very clean shop, decent set of tools. Helped me get the job done and didnt have to spend an arm and a leg to fix my car. Would give 5 stars if tool selection was a little more expansive.

A great option to perform DIY vehicle maintenance that requires a lift. The garage is fully equipped and well maintained. Alexey is very accommodative and adjusted availability to match my schedule. Highly recommend for any DIY work!

Alexie is a trustworthy, hardworking, and very fair mechanic to work with. I was given multiple different quotes and options for approaching my repairs. Great little spot where you can still do your own auto maintenance. I don't mind doing the work, but I have no garage. Having a lift and garage rental was a great way to tackle a suspension refresh job that would have cost 2.5k in labor. The mechanic in the shop, Alexey, was super helpful. Lent me hand, helped with finding the right tools to use, and answered all my dumb questions along the way. Little top tip, it took me wayyyyyy longer than I thought to do the job, don't over estimate your abilities like I did and plan accordingly.

Overall I am beyond happy SF Auto Labs exists since the other spot I used to go to (if you remember DIY or DIE Techshop) closed down and I needed to install parts on my car that can only be done using a lift and proper tools. Alexey is amazing as far as his knowledge on vehicles, with other people and letting me know about any issues or conflicts with appointments before I went there. Once I got there he helped set my car up on the lift, showed me around the shop and made things easier for me to do the work I needed. Best of all, this place is open on the weekends which is unheard of in the "automotive industry" and is already better than any other service shop/dealership that exists. Since a good majority of people, including myself, work the all day during the weekdays and cannot take days off, the weekends are perfect as far as working on your car goes. Even though I live up in Concord, traveling here is worth it to not only do the work yourself but also have a shop that is trustworthy. As long as they stay open, I am a life-long customer.

Alexey is the man! I installed some coilovers and lower control arms on my STI. I booked a full day and saved a bunch of money compared to going to a shop. He had all the tools I needed and was very helpful.

Great deal and a great guy. While Alexey's shop doesn't have every tool under the sun, it is well equipped for most jobs you'll encounter. I've found him to be incredibly helpful and professional. I just recently changed the fluids (diffs, transfer case, transmission) on my 2015 BMW, and performed some other repairs. Using Alexey's shop paid for itself in the speed with which I was able to work, and the peace of mind knowing the job was performed correctly. I'll definitely be back.

Alexey,the owner ,is an absolutely great guy . We started on the wrong foot because he mixed up my appointment but he showed up fast after we clarified and gave me some discount and some extra time . His advice and the extra hand he offered here and there made the experience even more pleasant . Didn't feel rushed in any way . Overall AMAZING ,saved me time and money. I have come to this shop 3 times with high-end cars to do my own services and repair. Alex is a very nice and professional owner who knows his stuff if there are questions. Safety and tools accessibility are his main concerns. I would give him 6 stars if I could due to the fact that he does whatever is in his capacity to accommodate the requests. My appointment was canceled by the owner while I was driving to the garage. He rescheduled for the next Saturday morning. I showed up per shop instructions, 15 minutes early for paperwork and saftey breif, waited 20 minutes and the shop was not opened so I left. He waited for me to text and says he was stuck in traffic. It seems like an easy job, just show up on time and open a door, but some people can't do the minimum.If you have no schedule and lots of patience maybe this is the place for you.

Reasonable prices, plentiful supply of tools and space and great location right off 101. Will be back for the next job! DIY Auto Labs was a super friendly and collaborative environment - we had all the tools we need to do a really complicated turbocharger replacement, Alexey was really helpful and flexible. This is the best place in Bay Area if you want to work on your car. There are many professional tools in the garage that you can use. Excellent communication with Alexey, very responsive and positive attitude. I definitely recommend this place!

Took my Honda Element in to replace some of the rear suspension parts. Had booked a whole day and three hours of Alexey's time. We found an unexpectedly bad wheel bearing and some other challenges. Alexey was great to work with, providing very competent help and useful tools. He is also endlessly optimistic, even when things are getting hard! I learned a lot by working with him too. In the end it took longer than I expected but that is just the nature of working on cars. Alexey was very helpful and I will definitely be back as I start fixing up the rest of the car!

Went in to do a transmission filter + fluid change and Alexey was very helpful, knowledgeable, and cool to talk to. There was a tool that I needed that he didn't have, so he went out of his way to pick up the tool and had me working on my car in under 20 minutes. All in all, great place to get car work done, will definitely come back in the future.
