Every auto shop should aspire to be like D.O.G. -- honest, no-nonsense, reasonably priced, KIND, upfront, and with excellent turnaround times. I've gotten a valve cover gasket replacement and transmission oil change here for my 2004 Lexus, both times the work was fantastic and during the oil change they noticed my sunroof drains were clogged (and causing leaks inside the car) and they fixed it for FREE. I seriously walk away from working with them feeling indebted because of how good the service and price is. Extremely blessed to have this place walking distance from where I live, makes it so easy to get my car serviced here. Thank you!!!

Best mechanic experience I’ve ever had. Helped with small EVAP leak and fixed issues to make sure I could pass emissions. Timely and inexpensive. Was recommended to go here and will recommend everyone I know. Thank you D.OG.

Blandon, the owner, was amazing and so personable! My engine light came on at 10am, I was able to call D.O.G. Automotive at 12pm (he was able to squeeze me in) and had my car fixed and returned by 5pm. Seriously will not go anywhere else moving forward and telling everyone to go here! Thank you so much!!

Hands down best shop in atlanta. I got quotes for $1200, then $700, then DOG Automotive did it for under $550. Been coming here for 5-years and is always the best price and great service and super honest. The owner and Alphonso are good folks.

They got me in very quickly and did a good job changing my oil. There’s not much else to say other than there is a place to wait. It is not very nice but getting out of the car and the heat to wait was appreciated. Polite and friendly technician.

I was recently having car troubles including a power issue and my engine light coming on. I don't have the most trust when it comes to mechanics and was dreading having to take my car in. My friend recommended this place to me and I live down the street so I decided to take the chance. I could not be more thankful I did. When I arrived, I was immediately taken care of and the mechanic (I forgot his name!) tightened a loose terminal on my battery. For the engine light he tried to get me fixed up without any part replacements but we ultimately determined an oxygen sensor would have to be replaced. He told me to come back in a couple more days, which I did, and again, he dropped everything to get it replaced for me (knowing I was down to just a few days left to get my emissions done) and that did the trick. The same day I was able to get my test done and pass. No issues since (this was 3 weeks ago) and the cost was very reasonable. I will absolutely go back. He has restored my faith. Thank you!!

If I could give this business 10 stars I would. I called in for an oil change and was taken care of right away. I needed 1 thing done and the owner gave me advice on all what needs to be done with my car. He was far, honest and trustworthy. If you need anything done with your car this is a great man to trust

Just had a car serviced at DOG...very impressed! I have a son going to school in Atlanta, we will be using DOG service over the next few years. Thanks 1/24 Another great service. Fixed a bad motor mount that I’m convinced had been there for years and numerous mechanics. Highly recommended!

Blandon is great. I went to Toyota world for service and they gave a me a super expensive quote for repairs on my Camry. I went to his shop and he was able to do it for less than half that and it took way less time than I would have at Toyota world. He is very honest, fair, and professional. Would recommend to anyone.

Blandon is the best in Atlanta. I had been using my dealership for years, but Blandon was able to address the root issue with a headlight problem I was having. Cannot thank Blandon enough - my check engine light was on & my car was having problems accelerating, etc. He fit me in the same day I called, diagnosed the problem immediately (which ended up being an easy 1 minute fix,) and didn't even charge me. I moved to Atlanta a couple of months ago and was nervous to look for a mechanic when my front tires started making a high-pitched metallic grinding noise. I googled "mom and pop mechanics Atlanta" and D.O.G. Automotive was towards the top of the list that appeared and they had great reviews. I called, left a voicemail, and they returned my call within an hour or so. Due to the issue (needed new brake pads) Blandon offered to squeeze me into the busy schedule. When I arrived he explained everything to me from the process of what he would be doing, to the pricing; the turnaround time was quick, to boot. It's so important to build relationships like this when it comes to your vehicle. I will definitely be bringing my car back here when she needs fixing next. Thank you Blandon!

I had been to countless mechanics (and dealerships *shudder*) in the Atlanta area before I came across D.O.G. Auto a couple years ago, and now I refuse to go anywhere else. The first time I brought my car in was for my check engine light. Other shops had tried to diagnose and fix the issue, but multiple repairs and oodles of money later, they still couldn't figure out what was causing the light to stay on. I brought my car to Blandon at D.O.G. Auto, and he did tons of checks to diagnose the problem and finally realized that the problem HAD been fixed earlier... but one of the shops had put the vacuum lines back on incorrectly after the repair. Instead of doing a bunch more repairs, Blandon meticulously and logically looked at all the possible causes to diagnose the issue. And he didn't even charge me at the end of it all. Since then, I've gone to D.O.G. Auto for all my regular car maintenance, and I'll go there any time there's anything wrong with my car. Last night, my car was smoking and leaking fluid. I called D.O.G. Auto this morning, and Blandon said he could check it really quickly, even though he was all booked up for the day. It took him only a few minutes to see that I needed a new radiator. He said he'd fit me in and I could pick up the car today. I brought it in around 10:30 am and was back home with the repair complete before 2:00 pm. I would bring my car to D.O.G. Auto even if I lived OTP. Blandon is the most honest, meticulous, knowledgeable, and efficient mechanic I've ever been to. He doesn't do work that's unnecessary, he doesn't try to screw you over on prices, and he actually explains why he's doing what he's doing. That's probably why his business seems to be thriving, and has been for years, despite being in the middle of Midtown and not easily visible from the road (it's attached to the Shell gas station, and if you blink, you'll miss it). Don't bring your car anywhere other than D.O.G. Auto.
