Never again they have had my car for almost 3 weeks .ran a diagnostic on it said it's a wire.but ordered a new ignition tht took a week to get in .has charged 1800 so far.and still don't have my car running but hooked up to machine for 72 hours and still can't get it fixed .unreal they are taking there sweet as time on purpose.mean while I've spent 800 on Lyft to get my husband to work .so there open 24/7 is bullshit.

Took my vehicle in for a cracked radiator before my 1000 mile drive back home. After the install they took it for a test drive only to come back and it steaming from under the hood. Radiator wasn’t installed correctly under core support so it was pushing the hose into a pulley which cause it to rupture. They changed the hose and I was sent on my way only to make it around 80 miles and had to stop because of a noise I kept hearing underneath. Crawled underneath to see what’s going on and the skid plate wasn’t bolted back on so it melted a huge chunk out. I took the rest of the finger tight bolts out so it wasn’t dragging the ground. Drove the other 900 miles home. Next day woke up to wash the vehicle and noticed the inner fenders were destroyed because of no skid plate. Popped the hood and also noticed there’s bolts missing from the core support, multiple clips that aren’t correct and falling out, bolt missing in the wiper fluid reservoir. After washing the vehicle I drove to the fuel station left it running to come out to a fairly decent size coolant leak again. Tried calling several times with no answer, emailed Donny’s with no reply….. after spending $942 for a radiator change and now me having to order several other parts to fix what they’ve broke. Inner fenders,skid plate, bolts it’s now sitting at another mechanic to get the original problem resolved of a leaking radiator. I Do Not recommend this place.

Great guys who went above and beyond to fix my car. My car broke down during a road trip from TX to CO and I went to Donny’s Automotive at 9pm (they were one of the few shops open that late). Donny and Noah were incredibly helpful and even drove me to the airport to get a rental car. My car was leaking oil as it was missing a part from the engine. That part was not available at any VW dealerships so Donny had it custom-made. Overall, the price was very reasonable as well and my car is free of any issues so far. On the flip side, they can professionalize the shop a bit more with a sign for their store (as it’s a bit difficult to locate it) and with a receptionist or someone to communicate vehicle repair status/updates. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend them.

Absolutely worst automotive shop I’ve ever been to. If I could leave a zero star review I would. Took my vehicle in to get my vehicle serviced and they kept giving me excuses on why my vehicle wasn’t done yet. It took forever to get my car back and every time I checked in to see what was going on they gave me attitude. Don’t come to Donny’s all of them are shady ABQ mechanics trying to scam honest people.

It is Fathers Day June 16, 2024. I am on a roadtrip from San Antonio to Weiser, Idaho, to Las Vegas and back. I got a "Service Throttle " warning. I looked for an automotive repair shop that would be open. I saw that Danny's Automotive would open at 5 AM! I called and Donny himself answered. He told me that he could have me on my way today. I was on my way with a brand new throttle, national warranty, and full explanation of what had happed to my truck. Highly recommended professional customer and auto repair businessman. Let me start off by saying this is so painful to have to write. I had a 5 star review up for quite some time, and Donny's Automotive was great and stood behind that. Unfortunately this all took a turn for the worst after my last visit. I had talked to Donny a few days before drop-off to get a simple oil change done. We confirmed date, and time for my wife to drop off the vehicle. On the day of the service and the time specified, my wife waited 15min at the door to drop off the vehicle. It was communicated that it should not take very long and it will be done in about 45-60min. After not hearing from him, 8 HOURS LATER, I had to call him. I finally got ahold of Noah, who had to call me back as he did not know the status. Donny called me and told me it was done and I could come get it. Upon arrival we noticed several things, the hood was still up, skid plate still off, and oil on the car. We were told the oil was "cleaner" as one of the techs quickly cleaned it up, since I pointed it out. After a little chat about the delay with Donny, I figured all was done...I was wrong. When I got home there was several issues. One, they did not protect the interior at all. No seat covers, floor covers, nothing. I have black leather and lets just say after cleaning it....gross. Second, as I was wiping off the, still left on oil, off the front of my car, I found a nice big scratch from a tool or something walking by that was NOT there before. The third and final part which caused me to come back to this review was, I was looking over and cleaning my engine when I saw the engine heat cover cracked. I take care of my cars very well and this was not cracked before. Inexperience and just yanking up on it would have caused this...like doing an oil change getting to the filter.... that was the last straw. I wish I could have kept my original review, but Donny's Automotive has unfortunately gone down hill. He needs to be real with time lines, have an office person on the scheduling side and take that extra step to take care of other peoples cars.

Took my car to Donny's for several problems. Told them that I would be out of town for two weeks. I had to contact them multiple times to get any information whatsoever. When I did speak to someone at Donny's, they had no idea about the status of my car. I finally received an estimate from them after the car had been with them for about 11 days. They ended up having my car for a whole month. When I finally came by the shop to get my vehicle, I realized the work was halfway done. A simple car radio install, after I already wired the harness, was incomplete. They didn't even connect up the rear camera, satellite connection, or the built in microphone. My car smelled like fuel. I paid for a detail and there was still dirt in the cup holders. When pressed about the status of everything, their excuse was "we ran out of time." I don't know how this place is still in business but it is completely untrustworthy. Stay away!

First Class Service! We’re stranded on the Freeway on a Sunday on a holiday weekend. Guess who’s open? Donny’s❣️ He squeezed us in for a quick diagnostic. Unfortunately, our transmission was blown. He was able to source one at cost! Yes, at cost. Of course we pay for labor and materials. Still saved us hundreds if not thousands of dollars. God bless Donny and his team. They went above and beyond to take care of stranded out of state travelers.

I was in dire need of a mechanic to service my 1989 Chevrolet p-3 food truck. I paid and reserved a spot to work at a festival out of town. Truck was broken down and the deadline was in 1 week. I called everywhere, I thought; no one could take me til after the festival or they didn’t have the tools or machinery to work on my truck. Donny’s automotive took me in immediately, found the problems ordered parts, and fixed them. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the festival because of the delayed arrival of the parts. But, Donny took charge, kept me up to date. And with their expert knowledge and experience, my truck is up and running, ready to go! The price is more than fair and the work is impeccable! I was unsure about Donny’s because of the lack of reviews. As I pulled up to a house I really didn’t know what to expect. I decided to give them a shot and I’m glad I did. It literally is a one stop shop. His prices are more than fair and the work was excellent. I had a list of things that needed to be done including a/c compressor, 2 fuel pumps, windshield, serpentine belt, gauge cluster, starter, and had them detail the interior of my 2010 Dodge Charger. I’m sure there is more I’m forgetting but they did all this work very quickly and got this car running beautifully for my son. Everything we had done also came with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. All that was wrong with this car was not a surprise to us because we already knew all the issues with it. He didn’t try to pull a fast one on us like some places will do. I would highly recommend using Donny’s. Donavon and his crew are friendly, honest, and very informed on everything they did and provided more than quality work. They didn’t do anything to our vehicle before asking first. I’m already planning to use them again for my daughters car.

Like others who've reviewed Donny's in Rio Rancho, we didn't know what to expect when we pulled up to a residential setting. My husband was so desperate about his Honda CRV, that he kept the appointment. The mechanics there were super through in finding a dead mouse that no other mechanic or dealer he'd tried had been able to find. Plus Donny's figured out how to block mice from entering the vehicle, which he'd been told was a lost cause by others. It took them some time to accomplish all that, but they had to take so stuff much apart, while being very careful during the process. As a bonus, they cleaned up the inside of the vehicle better than it had been cleaned in years! My husband felt the cost was very reasonable, actually priceless because this work gave him ability to drive the vehicle again, free of dastardly smell of mice. After that, my daughter decided to take her 2 yr. old Toyota to Donny's. A dealer had told her that she needed new suspension and struts. But Donny's mechanics tested and researched the noise that caused my daughter to go to the dealer in the first place. Donny's found she only needed her wheels balanced! They organized that with Discount Tire so she didn't have to take off work to do it. She saved hundreds by going to Donny's. It's been over a month now, and her car drives beautifully. But again, it took more time than it would have to take it to a dealer to replace the ss/struts, because Donny's were so through so they could do a proper job, even though they didn't make very much money on this work. We are all delighted to have found this hidden gem of a mechanic's shop!

Thankfully I found Donny after 11 months of another mechanic not being able to figure out what was wrong with my vehicle. After Donny having my vehicle for a week, he diagnosed what was wrong and realized that the other service center I had been using seriously messed up my vehicle. To the point that I needed my engine rebuilt. Donny and his mechanics are awesome and he is the only shop that will touch my Jeep from here on out! They do great work, warranty is given nationwide, and these guys literally work all hours to get the jobs done. I've even had my son take his truck to Donny and his guys. Save yourself time and money and just bring your vehicle here!!

This place is honestly so great! The service was awesome and he was so kind! I was walked through everything that was going in getting good details of what was wrong and what needed to be fixed! Not only was this guy great, and very kind and fast but he is also very patient with any and all questions you may have and doesn’t mind repeating things or reexplaining them when you don’t understand. My car had a few issues going on with it and he took me in on the same day I had called and got everything finished that day! An honest 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be going back!
