I went in because my tire kept going flat and I needed to buy a new one. Chris helped me and gave me the information I needed to buy a new tire. Service was great and I appreciate the help! Will definitely be coming back here

As a loyal customer of this shop for 6-7 years it pains me to write this review. Last time I visited Dons, I was charged $40 to patch a tire. Naturally, I complained because why would a patch cost that much especially for a loyal customer like myself? When I addressed the complaint with staff, I was shown zero empathy and talked to in a condescending manner. I will NEVER support this business again and I hope no one else experiences what I did.

I’m not sure if they know, but they played a big roll in the development of the vegan street food scenes when they started housing Cena Vegan. After a long hiatus, they have returned to Highland Park where they debuted their new protein, Chorizo. Drop by on Fridays from 6-10PM to eat and listen to some live tunes by local artists. I’ve been going to Don’s auto for about 15 years. The mechanics and staff are highly knowledgeable and reliable. I take our four cars and RV regularly for oil changes. I can also take our vehicles if there is an emergency, if I call, Chris, who runs the office, is always helpful. If I have an emergency or question on the road in our RV, I can call and Chris will give me suggestions or help me solve the problem. I highly recommend Don’s automotive for your vehicles.

Don’s Auto helped me out in a pinch. On my way back to Murrieta from a wedding in Westlake Village, I ran over a ladder in the carpool lane, which I was not able to avoid without causing an accident. When running through the ladder the driveshaft dampener separated from the rear driveshaft. I needed to drop the driveshaft to get the dampener off, but I did not have the tools to perform the task. I found Don’s through an internet search and headed over. Cars were stacked up in the parking lot and they were obviously busy. I talked to Chris at the counter, explained my situation and he said he would see if they could look. 10 minutes later they cleared a spot in their parking lot and started on my truck, which took them approximately 15 minutes to complete. I was on my way within in an hour of the incident. In addition, I went into the office to pay and Chris said there is no charge. I wanted to pay for their services, helping me out in a pinch and pled my case to let me pay. However, Chris insisted that the job didn’t take long, and they were happy to help me get back on the road. From my experience, Don’s is an honest, helpful, and ethical auto shop. This shop is a little gem in LA.

This is a great place of business. Chris and his colleagues are friendly and professional. Routine oil changes here are a breeze, from booking an appointment to the quality and timeliness of the labor. I never feel pressured to do anything with my vehicle I’m not comfortable with. Chris has taken the time to discuss the technical side of maintenance with me and show me first hand the work they’ll be preforming. I honestly feel great giving Don’s my business.

Don’s auto repair is a great place to take your vehicle. I found them online due to the mostly positive reviews made an appointment for my car VW Touareg and my daughters vehicle A Jeep Wrangler, just need an oil change and tires for my car. I found them to be very professional, and efficient. They were honest about our tires and whether they needed replacement. I know a bit about cars and would recommend them to a friend. They are very reasonable with their pricing.

They’re amazing! Unfortunately I bought a used car with a lot of issues, and took it to a bunch of terrible shops until I found Don’s. I’ve been to so many other mechanics who tried to oversell me on stuff or take advantage of me knowing very little about cars, and nothing like that ever happens here. I come here a lot and they’re always super fast and give me rides to and from the shop. They’re also really nice and take time to explain in detail what’s going on with your car, and why. Definitely recommend!
