Suv returned with dirt all over my seats. Missing battery I had behind passenger seat that I wanted to return to Walmart. Took my old parts when I told them I wanted them. Took my new wheel locks, a car vacuum, and some wd40 out of my back compartment. Made it look like someone rummaged through the arm rest and glove department. I know now to take everything out of your car. Can’t fix a code in my car I have to take it somewhere else.

Paid 3,200 approximate- This is how I got it back from the shop :/ had dried up maggots on the from middle arm console all the way down to the back floor board on driver side also on the driver passenger head rest -smells like vomit - found a random inverter not mine * Also the steering wheel lock the MPD gave me at my work was in the back seat on the floor board , still in the box. I had set aside the directions in the front passenger door compartment it’s completely missing from the vehicle . Just sad - this was supposed to be a glowing review. Update : the engine and oil light remain on since I’ve picked it up. And I’ve been waiting on a call back since a week after I picked it up. :/

Do not take your truck here to get repair especially if it’s diesel. They don’t know what there doing. They charge for a repair that they say they repaired & they did not my service traction light still comes on & they supposedly fixed it & they charge me & the problem is still going on so I take it back to the shop so they can fix it the & the truck stays there for 2 months & I call them & call them & they tell me the same things that they are checking it & checking it & after they call me & say that the owner Doug says to come pick my truck up that they going to do more research on my truck online & when they have a response they will call me to take my truck back like it don’t make no sense I repeat do not take your vehicle there to get repaired your truck or car will be sitting there without getting fix or getting fix incorrect & that front desk lady is very rude.

Pulled in at 430 with the a bad fuel pump in the middle of roadtrip l had to get a hotel for the night and resolve issue next morning im a tech so no problem get to shop tell them about a leaking line i saw before leaving motel and fuel pump of course gave me a quote for 711 i said great hour later wife said i dont think included line so back to front desk wife was right not included lady said is a rubber line they probably just going to throw it in then came the bill 375 labor be cause the tech struggled and 115 for 5ft of rubber gas line and i hope new clamps and 711 for pump i mensioned im a tech the line can be changed out in 15 min by anyone mechanically inclined so i asked why he didnt release the clamp an the bottom of hose and then the QUICK CONNECT at the intake pull line out and get top clamp shrugged her shoulders and said he struggled smh

Charged $1500 for work that wasn’t initially supposed to be done and they did not even complete it. Had other mechanic take a look and they did nothing that they said they did to my car. Do not waste your time here all they’ve done is lie and try to get me to buy a new engine

I personally love Doug's. Every problem I have had was resolved and some are just more difficult then others. Sure they bill 100$ an hour which is a ton and makes me jealous I don't make that BUT Doug is honest. I have gone in being told I have bad brake pads and Doug came out to take a look to tell me they are still good. I ask how much I owe him and he didn't charge. I was completely willing to pay him for the diagnostic but he wouldn't let me. I think all these 1 star reviews are either people who want parts at cost and free labor, had a difficult problem that actually took replacing multiple parts because the first didn't fix it, or for the instance of the one that wanted to point out the race of every employee... racists. Doug is an honest man and I assure you if you think he is ripping you off then you have not been to a mechanic that ripped you off.

Tried to give the shadow of the doubt after they left my Bassani exaust tip hanging off my car but I draw the line after you try to charge me twice for AC work... the 2nd bill was almost 3 times the 1st A/C bill. I even asked if it was working before I walked out . I'm gonna have toncall my bank if they can't get this corrected .

they where ok then came the lies, and now you need this and it's this price and the issue will be fixed. Walks to car ac is still not working then runs another diagnosis and says coolant is low and it's another $200 . I need to call my bank and file a claim .

We were stranded on I-40 in the middle of a roadtrip and called this shop. They picked up the phone, were cheerful, and helpful. Car was towed in after 4pm and they started right in on it. These were honest and helpful folks. We recommend them highly!

Do not waste your time or money with this place! Absolute ripoff, I should of known when I saw their whole parking lot overstocked with cars just sitting there. Called Monday morning, said they could get me taking care of Thursday. I'm the first customer at the door on Thursday morning, leave my car. No one calls all day, I call around 4pm they say oh we were backed up from yesterday but they're looking at it now. I said ok, so you'll call me tomorrow, they said yes sir, first thing. Friday comes and 2pm passes, still nothing so I call them again. "OH, We're looking at yours now, be back with you very shortly." 4:15 pm rolls around still no word. So I call and the owner Doug answers. Oh, can't find anything wrong with alternator and the AC is tricky, I can put freon in it. I say ok, how much will that be. He said Oh about $320. 🤯 Also, they charge an $150 diagnostic fee which they do not tell you how much that is upfront. Absolutely do not recommend. Very unprofessional and price gouging snake oil mechanic at its finest!

Call to have a CV axle replaced in my car they told me to take 2 hours I am very impressed I was in and out had a comfortable place to sit and wait I recommend this place for your repairs Pleasant staff will be back for any other repairs I need

Worst place ever. I took my car twice and had to take it back for the same problem. The people behind the counter lie and pretend the owner is not there when you ask to speak to him. Once getting a hold of him, the problem was not resolved. I will never go back there again.

Excellent service. They diagnosed my car’s issue and recommended a replacement part. During repairs the issue turned out to be something else. They returned the incorrect part and made repairs with the correct part. Some service facilities would say another problem popped up and we had to fix that too. But Doug’s was straightforward and honest about the incorrect diagnosis and it didn’t cost me two repairs. I appreciate that.

I got my truck back with the same ticking sound it came with. They told me that they replaced parts on the opposite side of the engine but couldn't explain how they didn't hear that the ticking was still happening. I feel like they just wanted to remove my truck from the shop since it had taken two weeks to fix the previous problem. Either way, bad service. Spent $3200 and still have to take my truck to another shop.

I recently had my wheel bearing replaced at Doug's Automotive, and overall, I found the mechanics to be skilled in their work. They completed the job in a timely fashion, taking approximately 2.5 hours, even though there was a one-hour period when the car was sitting . I appreciate their ability to work efficiently and get the job done. However, my only concern was the discrepancy in the labor charges. I was charged for 4 hours of labor, whereas the average time for replacing a wheel bearing on a Toyota Camry, like mine, is typically around 2 hours. This led me to believe that I was overcharged for at least an hour and a half, which was a disappointment. As a customer, I believe it is crucial to have trust in my mechanic, not just in terms of their skill and timeliness, but also in their ability to provide accurate and fair quotes for the work required. I hope that Doug's Automotive will address this issue and take steps to improve their transparency and accuracy in quoting labor times, ensuring a better customer experience in the future.
