I recently went to Downing Street Garage at 401 N Downing St, Denver, CO 80218, and honestly, I found the experience ridiculous. I had a tire swap and alignment done, which ended up costing about $493. To put it in perspective, this service would cost around $110 at Les Schwab. After getting charged, I looked up previous reviews, and I can now attest to other people's experiences of feeling overcharged. One of my biggest pet peeves with this place is how slow they are. I dropped off my Jeep and Audi at 9 a.m., and both times, I didn’t get my vehicles back until the shop was about to close. This has happened to me twice now. The first time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Second time, it happened again. Their prices are over the top, making me feel like I’m paying a mechanic with a degree from Harvard. Despite the unreasonable pricing, I’m still giving them 5 stars for at least having a friendly front desk staff and good looking people lol their staff looks like they are a friend of Channing Tatum. But this will definitely be the last time I bring my vehicles here. My solution: If your prices are significantly higher than average, just be upfront about it. Let customers know what they’re getting into so we’re not shocked by the bill. Second, don't call your customer 30 mins before you're about to close. Just like Uber or Lyft they have an ETA, you should have an estimated time of what time the vehicle will be finish.

I had a flat tire and they fixed it for me right away without even waiting AND they didn’t even charge me for it! They were professional and friendly. I will definitely be using them for any vehicle maintenance and repairs I need in the future.

I called the Downing Street Garage because I live nearby and didn't feel like driving to a tire shop. There was a metal screw coming out of my 4Runner's front left tire. I called the garage and asked the mechanic (Shawn) if/when they could repair it and they told me just to come by anytime. Despite arriving 30 minutes before closing and without an appointment, they happily took my keys and put my car in the garage and promptly repaired the tire, free of charge no less. I will definitely going back to the Downing Street Garage (instead of my usual garage, Toyexus) for future issues. Thanks guys!!

I had a screw in my tire that was causing a flat. I needed to take my mom to the airport in a few hours and no other shops before this were able to help me. The staff at Downing were all very friendly and efficient, they had my tire fixed within 20 minutes and did it for free! Definitely recommend this shop and I will be coming back again.

I called about a nail in my tire and they told me to just swing by and they could likely fit me in and get it done in 15 minutes. They did just that. Everyone was polite, professional and shop is very clean. Really nice local shop.

This is an excellent shop. I have been a customer at Downing Street Garage since 2007. The customer service is excellent, they listen to your complaints, they review the recommended repairs and cost with you prior to beginning the work, they do not recommend unnecessary repairs, and the repairs are verified before you pick up your vehicle. I have not had to return my vehicle once after work was completed in 17 years. I have not had a breakdown on the road in 17 years. That is extremely rare for an auto repair shop. I would highly recommend this shop to a family member, friend, co-worker, or neighbor.

Trustworthy neighborhood mechanic. Started going here after they served as the honest second opinion that warned me away from some expensive work being urged by another mechanic. Another time they fixed without charge a repair that wasn't working as expected. Recommended.

Such a professional garage and great efficient friendly staff. Had a piece of trim in my wheel well dislodged and they said “no problem-bring it in and we’ll take a look.” They fixed it-no charge in less than 10 minutes. We always take our cars here for honest maintenance and repairs. Highly recommend this shop!!

These guys are awesome. I unfortunately got a puncture flat and needed a quick turn around. They were absolutely on it and had the car fixed up in short order. The mechanics are knowledgeable and it is a great local shop. 5/5 would go to downing street garage for all my cars needs.

I have a Honda Fit with very low ground clearance and rode up on a parking block the other day trying to get as far into the shade as possible. Heard a rattle after that and discovered that the undercarriage cover was dragging. Brought it in this morning and they fixed it in about 15 minutes and didn’t charge me a thing. I will be back for all of my future service! Thank you for the courtesy service Downing Street!

Stopped by with a flat tire and they were able to help me out right away. Tire patched and ready to go within 30 minutes and they didn’t even charge me. Very friendly and respectful, I’ll plan to come back for my routine car maintenance.
