I had excellent service at East Bay Mufflers. My catalytic converter was stolen and my dealership was going to charge me quite a bit more to have it replaced. Moises was very nice. He gave me pricing on the phone ahead of time and there was no change in the cost when I got my car back after about 5 hours. I highly recommend this place if your cat converter needs to be replaced.

I recently bought a 2015 Dodge Challenger. I wanted it to sound like a muscle car so I needed to alternate the muffler. I did my research and decided to go with Flowmaster. Moises the mechanic was so helpful. I didn't want my car to be so loud that neighbors would complain. Moises suggested the 40 series so I decided to go with that. Today (09/13/24) I got exactly what I wanted. My car (Bruce Leroy) sounds AMAZING! The price was as expected, and as a woman I didn't feel taken advantage of. 10 out of 10. If you're looking for muffler work I highly recommend East Bay Mufflers.

I broke my muffler and came in right away, I'm broke and they welded it for me for a very fair price. They are willing to help you with whatever you need. FAMILY BUSINESS and locals of the town.

Came here to try to get my converter diagnosed and the guy was too busy. He told me to come back at a certain time and I did. I got there and he had another vehicle on the lift and said he couldn’t look at it today. I never came back.

Moises installed a cat shield for me, quick and reasonably priced, and then when I went in for a funny sound (not his fault) he fixed me up at no extra charge. Stand up guy!

Moises is amazing! He's very honest and will support you whatever way he can. I got my catalytic converter stolen and was being told by endless shops that I'm better off selling my car because the back order of catalytic converters doesn't have a timeline but at minimum it could take up to 6 months. I decided to give one more shop a call and he told me he has after market CC's and they are CA approved, SMOG checked and have a 5 year warranty. He is definitely going to be my go to guy for any car needs. Can't recommend him enough!

Moises provided the best quote for a 2nd gen Prius catalytic converter after-market replacement and shield (no insurance/out of pocket cost), and the turn-around on the work was fast. Support small businesses, and give him a call! I stopped by in person; the location is actually behind the shop that is directly on International Blvd.

Moises was excellent to work with—honest and trustworthy. He immediately identified that the exhaust smell I reported was due to an attempted theft of the catalytic converter. He welded it right away. I also had him service my 2021 Honda Accord V6, and everything was completed within two hours. I will be switching to Moises's business for all my future auto needs.

Moises was able to give me a great quote over the phone, confirm they had the part in stock & when I dropped my car off, it was ready in about an hour - exactly when he said it would be. I got my catalytic converter replaced and it came out to the cost he quoted me at over the phone. It was a great and smooth experience and lived up to all the other great reviews! I went straight to one of the smog check places he recommended and it passed. All within about 2 hours.

Thank you Moises for eliminating my exhaust leak noises for my 1990 Ford Van! Since you have fixed exhaust leaks I have not played my van stereo because I love hearing how quiet and smooth my van drives now! You were very nice to inform me on additional optional work before working on my van that I appreciated! You helped me also by having my van repaired in time so I could be able to drive to my job! Moises did great work and his repair costs were very fair and honest. I will come back to see Moises for tuneup, brakes and any other services he offers. Highly recommend!

Last week, I took my Jeep Patriot for noise and possible exhaust leak. I left the car for a few hours and then I was told that the catalytic converter needs to be replaced and it cost me $2,000. When I took it to a more reputable shop, they kept it for a few hours and when they drove it 3 times, they couldn't find anything wrong with it and charged me nothing.

My catalytic converter was stolen last year when the part was impossible to get. After finally getting one after being on many wait lists, when it finally arrived, I brought it here to be installed. It did not come with an oxygen sensor, which Martin (very nice to work with) was able to order one for me for less than the prices that were quoted to me by the dealerand also quickly. They got the work done faster than expected and also installed a shield for piece of mind at a very fair price. Highly recommend!

I got there right when they were closing and asked if they could patch up my catalytic converter. At fist the mechanic said no, then he changed his mind and did the job for me. That was extremely nice of East Bay mufflers to do that for me…

Not very helpful if you own a chevy Volt hybrid. My issue had nothing to do with the electric part of the car and they wouldn't touch it. All it needed was a new catalytic converter just like any other combustion engine vehicle.
